Get Rid of it Quick – After four washes the mother board was replaced because the machine failed. Since then the Door Lock and Timesave lights do not work. Almost impossible to get the bathmat to wash without the machine going into error and leaving you with a half washed soggy mess. Spin cycle sounds like a jet in the laundry, have to keep the door closed. Now the pump has failed and no-one stocks parts and even NEC don't want to know about it. Complete dud. efficient Noisy, unreliable and doesn't last. Difficult to use.

Bad – Had this machine for 2 and a half years. Within the first 12 months, had constant issues with the machine not draining. Kept saying IE (inlet error). Serviceman ended up replacing the main electrical board which seemed to reduce the error popping up. In the next 12 months, had the pump replaced twice in a very short period. Now that it is out of warranty, it decided to start banging loudly during the spin cycle and then absolutely cover a load of washing in grease! Told it is likely the bearings which will cost me about $300 to replace. Decided not worth fixing a machine that I was never really happy with. Dont buy an NEC washing machine is all I can say!

Broke down ALOT, loads often not washed properly and needed another cycle. Very, very noisy.

Bad – In first 12 months had water pump replaced. Machine is now two and a half years old, during time since pumped was replaced and now, have had heaps of issues with suds leaking from detergent compartment and also bottom of door. Also probs with machine unbalancing nearly every cycle (its on an even floor) during last 3 mins of spin cycle, so of course you have to repeat the whole rinse/spin cycle, you cant just spin.

A very tempormental machine that constantly tests my patience!!!

And now.... warranty just ran out and.... well the bearings have gone, too expensive to fix & why would I fix it anyway!! Can clean well. Nearly everything!

Terrible – we constantly had water and suds coming from the powder compartment,it didn't matter how much was put in there,the pump went within the first 12 months and now its just on 2 1/2 years old and it sounds like a jet is landing in our backyard when its on the spin cycle. to fix it we have been told approx $300 and told not worth it .i will never buy a NEC product again.ABSOLUTELY ANNOYED!!! yes if you use a good powder it does clean well,but ................
