5 JRo  · Love love LOVE Minties. Yep, they’re sweet. Yep, they’re soft. Yep, they’re not great for your teeth. But man, they are good. Good.
1 LOU  · Toooooooo soft. What has happened? I don't want that softness. Really disappointing. Bring back the harder version.
1 Nilesh R.  · Challenge – Its not the same minties. I loved the old minties.
1 Janet  · Why are they so soft - I want them to pull my teeth out like they used to – Not happy about the softness. Who made this change I want to speak to the manager

What a crock, waste of money, don't bother buying them anymore they're soft and not enjoyable. I'd rather travel 90 minutes to the Moonta old lolly shop and buy the chocolate coated mints which are actually hard. Show details

The lastest new really soft texture of our beloved minties is just awful, please bring back the medium texture you created in 2012 otherwise we won't be buying anymore Show details

I don’t mind the accessional bag of Minties but I’m not too fond of the soft ones they manufacture today. There is now no effort involved in eating them. They are just too soft. I miss the ones from the past that were hard and chewy. The taste is still familiar, it’s just the texture that’s changed. One thing I have noticed is when I put my Minties in the refrigerator they get harder and are more chewy. Show details

What has happened to Minties?? – OMG, i couldnt believe it until I read others users' reviews about this new "soft" version of Minties. I thought it was due to the new packaging making them soft. What a disappointment. Ive loved Minties since I was a kid but now its ruined with this terrible soft chewey formula. Half the fun was it being a hard lolly and it getting stuck in your teeth. Now that will never happen. Won't be buying again. Show details

Minties a great treat – Purchased a 335 gram packet of Allen's Minties in March 2024 from Woolies in Drouin VIC. Thank you Nestlé they are excellent, a quality product at reasonable price. Show details

Good – I liked when they were harder , that’s what made them different but the soft chew now taste like other mints. When they were hard the texture was better and the flavour was better

I am sad re Minties size – After years of loving Minties, I am sad that they are now so small in size compared to the original size that they were, the paper almost goes around them now 3 times, I really loved my ORIGINAL sized minties, I don't like the new Chewy ones either. love the taste etc. as they do refresh your mouth. Just wish they had not shrunk them .

Nestle give it a rest you sound like a broken record with your replies to minties reviews – Stop responding to every review with "we haven't made any intentional changes to our recipe" it's sounds almost like an automated reply. Minties have changed and you can't hide that factor everyone is saying the same thing over and over again. How about you listen to your consumers and fix the production problem rather than asking for our experiences to be captured. Show details

If I wanted a milko I’d buy milko. Minties SHOULD BE CHEWY! – Wth the texture is like a milko. The 1kg bag I just finished in 7 days was chewy, the small bag I just got tonight is not. I’m so disappointed.

Ruined a 90 year old Aussie favourite – You keep saying you haven't made any "recent" changes, we know. It happened in 2012 when you intentionally took a tried and true recipe that had been around for 90 years and changed it to be softer. You don't change an entire product for a small portion of people who couldn't handle it. Do us all (and probably yourselves) a favour and bring back the original. Sell your latest recipe/method as an alternative with a different name.

Change the recipe back – I have to admit I used to be hooked on Minties. I loved how they were hard enough to pull fillings out. I am not sure what changed or if they changed the recipe, BUT NOW THEY ARE HORRIBLE. They are soft and floury and when chewing they feel slimy and I really don’t enjoy them anymore and I won’t be buying them any more unless they revert back. Please go back to the original formula Show details

This lolly ain’t going in my trolley! – Like many of the other people who have left comments, I too was a mad Mintie fan. Well no longer, they are now soft, flowery, disgusting substitutes. To say the formula has not changed for a cheaper option is a blatant lie. How can so many people have the same experience?? Like my headline states, these lollies will no longer be going into my supermarket trolley until they are changed back to their original recipe. Show details

Allen's lollies the last 3 years now you going down the toilet you are telling us the customers who have supported you for generations what we will have and you get what your givin! The new people running allens the younger generation whoever they are have ruined this once powerhouse and amazing magical company with all the useless changes! And whoever's replying to the reviews stop making up nonsense that the recipe hasn't changed! I literally watched on tv a rep from your company admit they have changed and are classed as the new "chew" line... Absolutely disgusting! Might as well buy a pack of extra chewing gum they last longer! Shame on you Allen's!

Soft Minties :( – The last 2 mintie packets I have purchased have both been horrible. So soft, no resistance what so ever when you bite down. So soft you can pull them apart with your hands. Texture is completely different and the flavour is also less minty. Very disappointed.

Revolting soft things – Absolutely RUINED a longtime favourite lollie. Sure they were too hard before, but that crack and chew is WHY we liked them. Now they're not minties. How awful – What is that saying? “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Ruining the Minties recipe was one of the worst decisions Nestle ever made. Nearly every packet I buy gets thrown in the garbage. The Minties are soft, slimy and just horrible. As a former massive fan of Minties, this awful recipe is very disappointing. Nestlé is commenting on all of our… Read more

reviews, saying that the mentees shouldn’t be so soft, that the further from the factory they are the harder they get. What horrific quality control they have, (or don’t have, I should say).

It should not matter how long it was since they left the factory. They should have a uniform texture and hardness. If Nestle can’t accomplish that on such a simple recipe, then what a terrible failure they are. Why did they mess with the recipe in the first place?

Terrible soft mess – There has been a major change in the recipe since I last had Minties and I can tell by the fact that I ate 3 in the time it would usually take to eat one! So Disappointed! :( – I've always loved Minties. After about a year of dieting (no lollies!) Minties are not the same :( – Bought a bag for a long car trip, I haven't had them for a while as I always used to lose a filling when I ate them.....they weren't the hard, chewy lollies of the past and even though I did lose a couple of fillings the old recipe was the best. MINTIES ARE SO DISAPPOINTING AND SOFT NOW! – The reason minties were so good was because of their sticky, hard consistency - NO LONGER - the recipe has changed, they are soft & no different to any other mint on the market now… it’s such a shame that they have let yet another Australian staple slip to such a low level of quality. Show details
