Milos new recipe has completely ruined its taste, they've clearly diluted it significantly, even upping the ratio to 50/50 and it still barely tastes like anything, I will never buy it again because it's simply not milo anymore Show details
I've been drinking Milo since the70's. I agree with the reviews saying it has changed and is bland. I remember using ONE reaspoon to get he right taste, this morning I used THREE and it still tasted bland. I suspect it is now has 'fillers' in it to bulk it up so people use more. I might try the Aldi version, it's probably better. Why do companies… Read more
do this? It makes no sense. In the short term they might make more money, but when people stop buying it, any financial gains will be lost. Maybe they hope the new generations don't remember when it tasted good and will keep piling in the teaspoons to make it taste any good. Maybe they think putting 4 teaspoons in the glass is 'normal'. In the past you had no alternative product, today you do. Thanks Aldi, for replicating products we (used to) love and making them better and cheaper.

Plant based alternative? Yuk! Like licking bark – ‘Consumer research’ has driven an icon brand to offer an unpalatable alternative to a timeless product. Another example of marketers trying to ‘innovate’ when no change is required. The plant based alternative has none of the original characteristics such as taste, texture or mouth feel. Erk! A truly awful dark brown sludge with zero crunch. I… Read more

Tasty, stronger than original Milo – I accidentally bought Vegan Milo. Whilst my daughter dislikes it, I have found it quite tasty. It isn't as malty as original Milo, but is still tasty and crunchy. I enjoy it mixed through natural yoghurt, sometimes mixed with nuts and /or dried fruit. If it was packaged differently and given a different name I think it would be received favourably. I would buy it again. Show details
Vegans might like this – Thought I give an honest review as I was aware of what I had bought, you can read on the tin it says 'Plant based' I can understand some people might miss this... anyways, its not too bad. I think vegans or anyone interested in a more plant based diet might enjoy this drink. You can't expect plant based to be identical to the original lol but not… Read more
bad... its like comparing fake meat to a real meat. This milo has its own taste and is targeted towards plant based eaters or people who cannot have dairy. I give it 5 stars for this reason because even though I have grown up loving the original but switching to a vegan diet has changed my palate to many things and actually didnt mind the taste.
Love original milo – Please stop changing the milo!! I picked up the healthier version, by accident, yuk, sorry its gross. And whats with 30% less sugar. Please leave it alone. I grew up always having milo after school or on ice cream. I love the original Milo, its the best, especially as a hot milo in Winter, yumm.. Not sure if anyone else agrees with me but im finished my rant. Thanks Show details

The Milo "biscuits" aren't good at all, hardly any taste of Milo. It's smaller than an Oreo and more expensive.. Definitely not worth the price for the lack of taste.. Rather buy Oreo or even the cheap chocolate biscuits compared to the Milo ones.. If this is the best they can do for biscuits, I suggest a new recipe and taste testers.... Show details
After at least a year of not purchasing a tin of standard milo everyday old milo. We bought a tin. What has happened to it? Powdery and anaemic looking. Bland taste and as my daughter said no chocolate residue left on the bottom when you finish. We even tried adding more spoonfuls. Nope no success, still bland. And another one bites the dust! Milo, why? Why? Were sales down? Did the bean counters decide what's better? I'm 62, and still enjoy that opening of a new tin. Writing something in the tin foil before running the back end of the teaspoon around the edge to fine those crunchy granules on the top and eating a teaspoon full of them before making a… Read more
drink. Putting 3-4 spoonfuls in a cold glass of milk , stirring vigorously then eating it off the top before drinking. Now! Flour-ish and flavour-less. You said in one of your replies that the original is still available. Please tell me exactly what it's called so I never make this mistake again.

Gross taste now, not the same milo – As others have said, the recipe has changed considerably. Barely any sweetness, powdery consistency, and utterly bland. Just garbage now, we just threw it out we were so disgusted by it. Show details

Won't be buying again – I've been drinking Milo since I was a child. I'm now 42 years old. I have also consumed it as an adult and never dissatisfied. Today I bought a tin of milo (august 2024 UK) and it was terrible. NO crunch whatsoever. It dissolved in my mouth and milk like NesQuick. It was completely unenjoyable and I will not be purchasing again in its current… Read more
condition. This is very sad... The world is an abysmal place in its current state and having a product that takes u back to the sweet sanctity of your Aussie childhood was a God-send. That too seems to be destroyed like so many other things... What an utter shame.....

Why is Milo so sh*t?? – Milo beverage has changed. It not Milo. People have complained, but Nestle gives the same old canned response that it hasn't changed. It definately has! They are committed to the lie and they keep on repeating it..It has no flavour. You can't taste the malt , no chocolately flavour in the current version and the nice crunchy texture has gone. it seems to be now is milk powder with brown colouring and some sort of bulking agent which could be anything. Pd about $14. Would rather spend that money on a good quality drinking chocolate or melt some awesome Whittakers dark chocolate in warm milk. Support another brand instead. Nestle doesn't care.

Need to work on the label – Decided to buy a tin of milo as I’ve always loved it and haven’t bought it in years however I was very disappointed in the taste. Gross! – We bought a tin of Milo, and upon opening, you Could see that the texture was fine like flour or powdered milk. It is not the normal consistency, where it was much more coarse and crunchy. Any who, It tastes horrible - God know what Milo have done, but they’ve succeeded in losing customers. Change the recipe to the old one, and stop cheating your customers! Show details

Milo Plant based tastes vile – I accidentally bought the plant based milo as normal milo was not on the shelf and thought they changed labelling. I thought the formula changed and then checked the label closely and realised i had bought a plant based version. I immediately threw the… Read more
large can in the bin. This is a woke progressive product. Unlike the malted version was in a brown can i assume the lack of colour change was a sucker punch to increase accidental sales to make out the product was potentially successful. This review is for Milo Pro specifically – Regular Milo is great, but Milo Pro tastes so disgusting. No matter how many spoonfuls I put in, it still tastes like there's not enough. it's very bland with not even a faint chocolate flavour to it. might as well drink a cup of warm milk.

Now low quality – " We haven't recently changed the formula of original Milo!" Lol. Tell your lies elsewhere. All us old schoolers know you have cheapened the product in pursuit of more profits. It's a insult to one's intelligence to suggest otherwise! 2 add insult to injury , you have raised the prices for your now inferior product/s. Telling blatant lies to consumers who made your product what it was. I'm out!!

Allergy reaction to plant based Milo – My daughter is Allergic to dairy. We were happy that Milo started plant based alternative. She finished a few tins and enjoyed it previously. Unfortunately, something must have changed recently. She had an allergic reaction after taking one sip. I think this product should be recalled.
