Nexen N6000

Best tyres so far – Was recommended these tyres at The Wheel Deal. Previously had Kumho KU31, 50,000km for just under 2 years. Was noticeably losing its grip at the end. The Nexen N6000 had for 46000km ( still going)and on 2 years. Even though it's a little less k's than the Kumhos, it's still has quite amazing grip even in the wet! Had car serviced today and… Read more
my mechanic said i need to look at new tyres as it's getting really low, but I'm amazed at the grip I'm still getting.
Anyhow I went back to The Wheel Deal and they don't make these tyres anymore as I'd buy them again in a heartbeat! Was told the Nexen SU1 is similar and judging by the reviews I'll most likely be getting them.
Sidewall cracking on two tyres after 4 years and less than 20,000kms driven – I can't recommend these tyres for durability, I also found them quite noisy and grip was very average. Maybe I was just unlucky and got some duds, but it does seem unlikely. Shame there is no recourse as I can't find any warranty details about the tyres. Performance was good in dry weather, wet weather not so good. Show details
Awesome all rounder – I have the nexon 6000 on my ls1 ute great in the dry and amazing in the wet. Ive got 45000km out of them and i drive pretty hard they wear and perform really well in any condition. Im going to keep the 6000's on my cars as i know they do there job. Show details · 1
Wouldn't Buy Anything Else Again – Had these tyres on a 400rwkw G6E Turbo Falcon: 245 35 R19. They have exceptional grip, both in the dry and the wet. (I live int the NT). they feel like a softer compound, and when putting hp to the ground, you have to expect tyres to wear out faster. Show details
nexen N6000 – I've been buying these tyres since they first came on the market and are Fantastic grip wet and dry and last too they're not super soft but not hard there great in the Aussie condition and roads. Using 235/45/17 To put it out there the Roadstone N7000 is a very simular tyre in every way made by the same company. Show details · 2
Surprisingly good would recommend – Got them on my F6, I go through a lot of rubber, most of the cheaper tyres can grip on the dry but are scary in the wet but these GRIP VERY WELL IN THE WET so much so when I want to slide it takes the fun away lol Am now going to buy a set for the front and will buy again for the rear no questions . So much better than the Atr/atr2 rubbish I tried ladt time they were just dangerous in the wet Show details · 1
Fitting Tomorrow NEXEN N6000 245 X 35 X 20 on Cosmis Racing Rims 20" x 9" – Bought car with cheapies on it, not good grip in any weather Looking forward to the performance of these as the write ups have been good The vehicle has been modified suspension wise and sticks to the road excellently in the dry but slippery in the wet. Very quick vehicle And need what the write up says, plus the good reports from the young lads here that use them Show details
Acceptable dry grip, NO grip in wet weather – Don't get sidetracked by price when buying tyres for sport and performance car. Nexen n6000 235/35/19" have no to very little grip in wet weather.
Better than expected – Like others I purchased these tyres on the strength of the reviews and I'm very impressed with them. Hard to tell much difference between these and the continental sport contact 3 that I replaced.
Couldn't be happier – Just put these low profile tyres on based on the strength of the reviews. 500klms later and these tyres are noticeably much much quiter, allow me to really throw our little Audi A1 around and stop in its own length. No water driving yet but expect good things if the above is any gauge. I could have spent a lot more and doubt I would have got any better performance.
Only tyre so far that can hold 500rwhp – I have an XR6T with over 500hp at the wheels and this is the only tyre I have yet used that can hold the power in the dry. I had some Achilles tyres before this and from new I would lose traction on dry road in first, second and even the top of third gear. These barely slip even in second! The difference is huge! And at $176 fitted for a 245/35/19… Read more
I can't recommend highly enough!
I can't comment on wear characteristics as I haven't had them on very long but with this performance at this price point. Who cares?
Wet performance is very good also.
A true performance street tyre – Having fitted these to my wifes Mazda SP23 I was really impressed with their performance. When my race car wasn't ready for a meeting I entered the SP23 and was amazed at how it kept up with the cars on race compound tyres. I have now fitted Nexen N6000 tyres to my race car and as yet they are showing no signs of overheating or tearing and very fast and predictable. Great wet and dry performance, quiet, good value.
Brilliant Tyres !! – Just had a set of 235/35/19 fitted to my Turbo Astra... what a transformation. Quiet and amazing grip. For the price you cannot beat them. Far better overall than the Goodyears I had previously. Excellent ride comfort aswell. Highly recommended. Note ! I am a mechanic and a car nut...have 7 cars of various styles. Quiet,Excellent grip..look good too

Good or bad – Having the Nexen on my 4WD for 2 years, I changed my tyre to a better known brand, I have to say for the price difference, it is worth paying more. Nexen does not grip very well if you turn your car fast. It is worse during rainy days, I always thought it is something to do with the car, now I know it is the tyre. cheap Out of control on wet condition
NEXEN N6000 – Sensational feel, grip and quiet. Corners on rails. Replaced a set of Pirelli's with these and they are better. 205x55x16 at $148 each best in class. Cannot recommend these tyres enough. I will be interested to see how they wear but the tread depth and pattern looks great. Once again they are very quiet on the road Grip, handling, quiet
Excellent – replaced a set of 205.45.16 Michelins with these purely based on price, and to my amazement, i actually reckon they are griping better than the Michelins on my 115kw front wheel drive are no noisier, and have a great looking tread pattern. Always wondered who nexen were when I watched the football on the telle at Geelong. Everything, price, grip, noise levels. havent found any
Excellent – Having not heard of Nexen before, I did some research on the internet and found many conflicting reports: I am happy to say that these tyres have exceeded my expectations. For the price ($137 ea. for 205/45 R16 on a WQ Fiesta Zetec 5dr), I was amazed, having changed from ContiSport (discontinued) to these I have noticed very minimal difference in… Read more
handling, but a vast reduction of tyre noise, specifically on the freeway. Excellent grip & stability in the wet & dry. Very quiet so far (only done 1,000 kms). The tires are a little firmer than I anticipated, this may be due to the nitrogen inflation, but the noise reduction outweighs this in my opinion. The tyre will loose grip on the heavily painted (shiny) white lines.
