The service provided with our driver is acceptional. Driver 323 (Parminder) always is on time with collecting freight and goes above and beyond to service our needs with our earlier closing time on Fridays. Overall service has noticeably improved as well with transit times and requests. Thanks to the team at Northline Show details · 1
Great customer service. Highly recommend Jas (driver number 365). Delivered a very heavy bathtub in a wooden crate to the property. I was concerned with the weight and size of the item however on arrival his attitude was positive and he told me not to worry and that the delivery would not be a problem, And it was not, I had asked the company to… Read more · 1
call me an hour before delivery, which they did, It was the smoothest delivery I have ever experienced. Ten out of ten for service and reliability. Will use this company again for all my deliveries where possible. Thanks

Don't waste your time and money with Northline freight company, long story short, I had a small pallet of roof tiles delivered from Perth to Darwin to do some roof repairs for my house. Upon Northline arrival at my property the top layer roof tiles were all smashed (see photo) I showed the Northline delivery driver he just shrugged his shoulders… Read more
and took some photos with his hand held PDA and said to me a 3rd party freight company delivered them not Northline - so not even Northline are delivering my roof tiles. I spent $500 on shipping for some smashed roof tiles, what a joke this company is, if I had read these bad reviews on Product Review I would have never used them!
Tried to log an insurance claim through Northline's portal system they use some and it goes to some insurance company called ICF insurance broker, I had to make 4 follow up phone call until someone by the name of [Name Removed] a Claims Executive ring me to tell me she emailed me a claim form. I got the claim form and then I got into a small argument with her over the phone as I needed to provided an "Itemised Tax invoice" when I told her more than once I only have a tax invoice for the pallet of roof tiles that are not itemised, she wouldn't have a bar of it and told me to contact the supplier for an itemised billing invoice always my claim won't be processed, I told her No, I'm not going to ring the supplier again demanding for an itemised tax invoice when I was already given a tax invoice for the whole pallet of roof tiles i bought, i'm not going to do that then she started questioning me if I had read the T&C's and she kept saying my claim won't be processed, I just ended up ending the call with her. What a joke! I have to go through this nonsense after purchasing roof tiles that cost me almost $700 inc. shipping that were packed neatly and nicely before pick up (see photo pallet of roof tiles packed neatly and well wrapped before it left Perth in perfect condition) and these Northline jokers don't care about your goods and stacked some heavy pallet on my fragile roof tiles which broke the top layer of my roof tiles, then I have to deal with this horse cr#p claim process through ICF insurance broker where Northline was clearly at fault.
Here is the insurance from [Name Removed]'s email demanding the following in order to make a successful claim:
1. Copy of the original tax invoice sent with the freight (from seller to buyer). 2. The cost/supplier invoice. The claim is settled based upon the actual incurred loss. In this case, if the item is a "total loss", it would not be the RRP of the product, but your cost to purchase/manufacture the product, as this is the actual incurred cost.(This document should be addressed to your company from your supplier, and be dated prior to the date of consignment) This document may also be known as a “commercial invoice” If you manufacture the item, your cost may be made up of more than one supplier/cost/commercial invoice You may wish to refer to your accountant/financial adviser for further assistance with this document, should it be required. 3. Advise / itemise how the claimed amount has been calculated (may be addressed with above). 4. Photos of the damaged packaging/container 5. Photos showing how the items were packaged to withstand the required transportation and movement via road/rail (interior of container/box/package/supports/dunnage) 6. Photos showing how the items were packaged prior to transit (including any labelling, warnings, etc affixed to the exterior) 7. Please confirm how many tiles were in the original consignment? 8. Please confirm how many tiles you are claiming as damaged?
Get real Northline! Take reasonability for breaking peoples precious cargo and don't make people jump through these nonsense hoops just to lodge an insurance claim, and deal with a Claim Executive that gave me attitude over the phone.
I'm real p*ssed off that this happened, and that I had to deal with the insurance broker [Name Removed] who did not go out of her way to try and help and denied me over the phone that led me to start an argument with her.
Morale of the story really think twice before using Northline freight service, shop around else where. Your good will get damage for sure if you use Northline just like in the other online bad reviews on here.

Avoid at all costs – Absolute rubbish. Avoid at any cost..! Delivering a vending machine from Ballarat to Katherine. It all started with them picking up the delivery 2 days late. I dealt with that that wasn't a huge worry for me at the time. Then I guess they kept it in their Melbourne depo for a week or so, I don't think it even left Melbourne until after the ETA.… Read more
Anyway, all of these were minor issues compared to what was next. The machine finally arrive in Katherine, when I was advised by bothe the customer and Northline of damaged to the vending machine. They claim it must have had a loose strap.. which I can only laugh at as the machine has been written off. In my opinion and going by the photos, the machine has been dropped from a height atleast. Then also looks like it had been ran over and kicked down a mountain side.. it was not in good shape. Northline made a claim number and sent me to their claims department who on their website claim to offer prompt and hassle-free claims process.. well this was at the beginning of October and it's now Feb and they have only just, a couple of weeks ago, offered me a payment which is half of replacement costs and for some reason they think this means they claim salvage of the machine, therefore have deducted $1500 from their offer. Their offer documents not being named settlement offer but instead release documents voiding them from any future responsibilities. So they know they are doing wrong, the person (definitely wouldn't describe as lady) from their insurance company told me after I asked her whether the timeframe was a bit ridiculous, "No no I don't think it is at all. We've been on Xmas break". when the same person told me at the start of December 5-7 working days and then did not respond or even open a single email untill I rang them. Hope she had a great break while the new owner sots there staring at his written off vending machine which is not making him a cent. Anyway escalating the matter ATM to achieve the results the customer deserves.. Northline and their insurers ICF insurance brokers offer a pathetic service.. make Ur own decisions but I know I won't be using them again.
A lot better than I expected from the reviews here! – This is surprisingly good. I had a bike (flat packed) that needs to be shipped from Adelaide to Perth. Read through the reviews and don't look too good but still give it a go considering it has insurance anyway. Speed: it was fast, like 3-4 days it arrived at the Perth depot. ETA is Thursday and collected on Tuesday. The item is in good shape.… Read more · 1
CS: helpful. Made two calls, one for checking if package has been picked up yet, the second one is to request pickup from depot directly. both calls got picked up within 1min and got resolved Tracking: the tracking details are minimal. you can only see the status but not the actual location of the item. When the bike was picked up, it's not reflected as well and have to call the CS to confirm.
Overall I find the Northline is giving me a good experience in delivering my bike.
Red Tape, Jobsworth Nonsense and Broken Item – I bought 3 large pots (35kg) each and the suppliers sent them via Northline from Melbourne to the WA depot in Kenwick, Perth where it was agreed that I would pick them up. When my wife and I tried to do so I was told I couldn't split the pallet to put them in my car, so was turned away. At no stage was this mentioned despite having discussed… Read more
this over the phone, so a wasted 70km round trip.
I hired out a trailer and returned with my brother in law, only to find once I got home and removed the plastic wrapping that the one of the pots was badly damaged, despite having Fragile stickers plastered over the package.
Incredibly, when we turned up to collect with the trailer, another customer who had a much bulkier and more dangerous load to collect was allowed to unpack his 10ft container and load the contents manually!
This was a highly unpleasant and unnecessarily stressful experience cause by bureaucratic red tape and "jobsworth" nonsense from Northline, with time and money wasted.
They certainly won't get any recommendations from me.

No Problems – Delivery from Melbourne to Perth. Large heavy boxes. Got it delivered to the door without a hick-up. No damage. SMS notification 2 days ahead with 3 options of method to chose from. SMS 15 minutes before arrival. Arrived in good time. Web site tracking worked fine. The only thing that could be improved would be that ETA was too optimistic first. Time of delivery could have been narrowed down to morning/afternoon. Show details · 1

Quality is poor for the price charged. My signature was forged as I didn’t accept delivery in this manner and they have had pictures and videos of the damaged from the beginning. They have not taken accountability and do not admit their delivery planning was a mess. They lied to fair trading on the solutions agreed to. Stay away. We were trying to ship a pallet with engine on it, as had been done several times before. Took it to depot, but was advised at 10 am workday there were no staff to take payment, and so was told to call to arrange on the phone.first call failed after 30 minutes wait advised they could not do it and hung up. could step in and call as we had no success with their call centre. Meanwhile another attempt was made with the call centre. Office staff failed to step in as asked and provided another number instead. 2nd attempt failed as did third from second number provided. The staff have failed in their duty to address call centre issues and office staff failied to step in when obviously their own systems were failing. By this time an hour later waiting in the sun the staff member to take payment arrives. She at least was sensible enough to ask that the package process be initiated ( no other staff had bothered to do this check prior) only to find they now would not accept it on a pallet but only a crate. After a second check with the manager also said the same and refused flatly to acknowledge multiple failures in their system. In the end half a day was wasted in driving around and waiting for these completely unprofessional and incompetent staff( save the payments lady, maybe promote her!) at a minimum address call centre issues at once, check packages at your earliest point, not when your staff arrive, and if your customer cant use your call centre then common sense is to step in. You should be doing this by default if you don't have payment staff in attendance for all opening hours. I could not give any stars as they were unable to complete the job and only provided frustration. Perhaps that is a service they could sell to anyone without enough troubles, if only they could take payment for it ;)

any solution or contact me to let me know the issue. I was told that redelivery would be attempted. I received no communication again from Northline on 20 August and had to call again to find out if the item was on board for delivery. They confirmed it was but that it would be curbside delivery only -- the item is 155kg and I am alone and heavily pregnant. I had someone to assist me with the item on 18 August but I no longer have that assistance. The company is unwilling to use a dolly to wheel the item from the curb into my secure garage -- I will also add it is pouring rain today. I paid $250 for this very poor service... it is two days late and there is no solution for me to effectively receive the item.

Be Prepared to Waste Your Own Time and Money – Waiting on a delivery that had the ETA as today 12/6/24. Tracking is almost non existent, last update shown is “Picked Up” which originally showed as 7/6/24. into it, confirming it was picked up on 7/6. They reached out to Northline and was advised that it wasn’t sent out to the local delivery partner and wouldn’t be delivered until Friday or even next week. As this is an urgent delivery, I opted to pick up from the Depot. The customer service Rep from Transdirect advised me this would be fine and that Northline has confirmed it can be picked up today.
Since I work About 40 mins from the Depot, I thought, I’d go into the office and pick it up. Big mistake. Left home 1.5hrs early and after about $30 worth of toll roads I get to the depot. The lady at the office takes my details and contacts the warehouse. Even tells me to drive down to the specific warehous number for pick up and a team member would assis me. After waiting, the warehouse manager approached to advise me that the parcel has been handed over to local delivery partner already. AMAZING.
Not only was I not advised of this at any point, it never showed in tracking. I’m not home to sign for it, was advised that it was out for delivery tonight or tomorrow and that I can do ATL over the phone.
I get to work and magically tracking now shows out For delivery. So I call up Northline, the customer service rep was nice and tried to find an ETA for the parcel. Was then advised it’s ETA is now 13/6/24 but not to expect it until Friday or even Next week. From a local depot, for a courier service for an urgent parcel.
So after all that, I was almost late to work after he delay at the depot, wasted fuel, in total, 2hrs+ of time, $30+ worth of tolls for absolutely zilch.
If only I could rate negative stars. Amazing now that delivery services have essentially become Christopher Nolan’s Inception. A courier company, within a courier company, within a courier company. No wonder everything’s a mess.

subsidiary company that uses Northline - again - items coming from the nearest capital city in the same state, arrives at the depot, and then sits for over a week without moving. Should have known it was Northline when the wait time was almost as long as the NSW Blues Origin teams losing streak! Then my mum tells me she is waiting on an item from, surprise, surprise...Northline. Due to arrive 3 days ago. On the truck 2 days ago - same story I get told...it wasn't on the truck. Still in the depot. You would think by now, that after all the feedback that they would have mastered their industry of delivering goods. It appears they have not.
