Before moving to Novalac colic my son used to poo after pretty much every feed and was always windy during the night which was not too bad.

After moving to Novalac Colic, my son became more Colic, more windy and was in a constant tummy pain. His stool cycle was changed from approx 4 times a day to 1 time only in the morning. That too he would pass through extreme pain and exertion. It is by far the worst formula I tried for my son. I changed it immediately back to Aptamil Colic and Constipation and he's back to normal. He is not windy or gassy anymore. NOVALAC COLIC is the WORST!

Made my baby worse than where we started – I changed from the brand Karicare to this because it was recommended for colic and what a load of crock. Worst formula for constipation – Brought this to help with the colic for out 3 weeks old. This formula, I thought was great for the colic, but sadly, on the other hand, constipated my baby, very bad to the point, she would scream to poo. Wouldn’t recommend. pushing, she ended up with a UTI. On further investigation, they found upon scans that her urethra tubers are inflamed causing urine to flush around and not evacuate down and out immediately. Upon question after question from so many medical professionals to find the source of how this occurred, the only common ground was constipation. I will admit I can not 100% say it was due to constipation or mainly this formula, though after consults with both a urologist and renal specialist, and due to the timing, UTI formed a day after constipation and constipation only occurred when starting this formula, the likelihood that it was caused due to this formula is too coincidental for it not to be. Please don't take the risk. Colic will pass, my daughter now needs surgery at 1 year of age and is on antibiotics until after the operation. If you have struggled with finding a formula, our paediatrician put us on Aptamil AllerPro Syneo. AMAZING no issues whatsoever. I can't stress enough not to bother with this formula. Don't take the gamble. You do not want to be under the stress that we are in.

Lifesaver ! – My LO was previously on nan comfort from the age of 3 weeks. He had SO much tummy pain and would cry for hours on end (Plus heavily constipated). A week and abit in, still screaming in pain and heavily constipated. I went down to the chemist and was instructed to try colic relief drops - infants friend. Didn’t work. I then attempted other colic relief methods - gripe water and bio Gaia, still nothing. I then purchased infacol and saw SOME improvement within 2 days however nowhere near enough for bub to be more comfortable and settled. It was killing me to see my LO in so much pain every single day. I was at my witts end! My friend recommended that I purchase Novalac Colic as it helped her LO with colic and also her older son when he was younger, with reflux (the reflux version) so she heavily trusted in the brand. I thought there’s nothing to loose! Within two days my LO was ALOT more settled and that was very obvious given he was sleeping longer and was overall a more happier baby. Within two weeks he was a completely different baby! (I do still put infacol in the formula to give it the extra kick). However my LO is no longer constipated (agreed with his tummy) he literally goes twice a day and doesn’t strain when having to go. His now 2 months old and his ‘colic witching hour’ from 4pm-8pm is now non existent ! He no longer cries, strains, curls his legs or arches his back during or after feeds! He does not need help and support pushing his legs back when having to poop! It’s been a life saver formula and could not recommend it enough! You’ve got nothing to loose trying this formula! I was so sceptical but it has been a god send !

Great for the tummy, terrible for the bum! – My partner and I have tried a number of formulas, we started on A2 platinum and baby was a nightmare! sleeps well, barely cries, drinks all her bottle, seems to love the taste! Only problem and it's become a big one is that she is very badly constipated due to the formula being so thick. She poos out little rocks and she's had a couple of poos now that have been coated in blood. Have tried extra water, water between feeds and coloxyl drops in her milk but nothing helps so have unfortunately had to change her formula now as she's also showing signs of reflux. Am trying novalac for reflux at the moment but am worried that because it is also a thicker formula it won't help at all with her constipation and I can't have her on thin formula as everyone she's tried (A2 platinum, mamia, novalac for constipation) just makes her scream bloody murder. Have had to get a bottle of actilax and suppositories so fingers crossed!

Worked fantastic - game changer – Novolac colic worked wonders for my baby. We tried various formulas for his wind. Poor thing was letting off wind with lots of pain. Novolac colic helped tremendously. We noticed a difference within a few days and within a few weeks he was pain free. It’s a little more expensive than the usual formula but worth every penny. Unlike other formula this one needs to be prepared with warm water which is a must.  Show details

Saved us from Colic hell – We tried about several formulas and she screamed in pain. We just couldn’t figure out what suited her. Until we tried Novalac Colic. We saw almost instant change. She calmed down a lot more and after about a week on it she was a happy baby. Constipation is WORSE than COLIC – I am so regret that I purchased this formula after i read a few positive comments. Was so worried about the colic and ignored the other negative reviews about the constipation. Now, it’s becoming worse than colic. With colic at least, baby doesn’t cry with the pain, But now, it caused the other pain. Definitely not a way to solve colic problem with changing formulas. Show details

Novalac colic caused constipation – Our 6week baby boy suffered from severe colic so bought this thinking it would help not reading any reviews prior. Only used for 4 days and he went from pooping every second change to once per day and you could see him struggling. It’s such a gamble when you’re stuck and are trying to find a fix for your baby. No Good!! – We used this formula for just over 3 weeks it made our 5 week twin boys both constipated which was recommended by a family member. It didn’t work for our babes, It Made them feel so much worse than making them feel better. Spoke with professionals advised that this is all marketing. Constipation – Tried Nan Comfort 1 and Blackmores infant 1, Bubb had signs of colic, lots of painful wind very uncomfortable. Tried Novalac colic, wind still present then constipation started, poor baby. Wouldn’t recommend. Back to NaN Comfort 1. Show details

Constipation – We were put on aptimil in the hospital and that caused massive reflux problems. hard pebbles that absolutely stink!!! We are having to use stomach calm and laxative drops in her bottles but 2 weeks has passed and still its TERRIBLE! We even had to use a enema to help her along. Changing to a new formula tomorrow.

Saved the day – My daughter had tried 5 different other formulas - it was a long constant battle trying to find the best one suited. Finally came across Novalac Colic it has been a true lifesaver. Definitely recommend for gassy babies – Solved all our little ones tummy complaints immediately. With other formula we needed to spend time trying to burp him, with novalac colic he burps in his own. No more tummy pains & is sleeping much better. Show details

Not suitable – Bought this as I was told by our paediatrician that baby has colic. I read the reviews prior to purchasing, and spoke with thr pharmacist and she recommended novalac. Our baby enjoyed the taste, no issues drinking, however didn't agree with him about 10-15 mins after finishing the bottle, tummy pain and constipation. I was constantly having to give him water with brown sugar and other natural remedies to try and get him to poo. Constant battle. Show details

Absolutely amazing! – I am currently mixed feeding and after trying s26 gold and having my bub projectile vomit after every bottle feed and struggling with bad colic I decided to give Novalac Colic a try and it has been an actual lifesaver! we tried a few different formulas and in the end this is the only one that helped my daughter – my daughter absolutely loves it after trying multiple formulas this is the one we settled on she had no side affects and it was easy to prepare. slightly more expensive but we'll worth it Show details

Had no problem with it – My baby was a colic and this product is the only one that fix it. Amazing product! Since the first time my son tried it@ 4weeks old he was settled the first time and no wind. Life changing! – After 5 weeks of screaming for hours on end and not sleeping for more than 1.5 hours at a time due to waking with painful farts, we switched our 3.5 month old to Novalac Colic. He was like a different baby instantly! He still gets fart attacks from time to time but they only last a few mins, no more screaming for hours on end, he has turned back into our happy little man! Only formula we had lots of success with – This formula made a huge difference to our bub , she tolerates it well and has become much more settled . Took 5 days to work but Worth the Wait!!! – After weeks of sleepless nights from a baby in pain we spoke to a pharmacist who recommended changing to Novalac Colic. It took around 5 days until we seen the effects but once we did it was amazing! No real side effects like constipation either!! Perfect formula when I needed it most – This formula came as life saver when trying to help my bub suffering from colic. No over the counter liquids i.e. infants friends or gripe water were helping at all. Every meal past 11am were dreadful with screaming, clenched fists and an over all unhappy baby. This item settled her stomach, helped has come up and over all assisted our journey as parents.

Excellent!! 4th formula in and never going back – Best formula I tried 4 before This and baby was grumpy and constipated, wasn’t on this. Still was on zantac syrup for colic but this formula was a good option as my boob made it worse. Went toilet everyday so no constipation like nan or s-26 I think it does come down to every baby though and seeing what works! This definitely worked for us.
