Olympus E-300

Good – My first pro digital SLR and I love it. Have had it for a few years now and overall has great solidity/quality. Plan to upgrade to the 10 megapixel E510 by buying just the body and using the existing lenses of the E300 on it and running a two body shared lens outfit. More features than most amateurs will ever need. Looks and feels bulletproof. Pippin solid build-quality, virtual pro-quality features like shooting RAW images, settings flexibility, compatability with later E330, E410 and E510 cameras. Put memory card in back to front at night during rock concert and broke two of the brass connecting pins inside body. Olmypus have standard charges (not cheap) just to open the casing. Instead of replacing just the pin connecter, they also automatically replace the entire circuit board (because they can be short-circuited and rather than reopen the case afterwards ... and charge more for that ...they automatically replace the board.
