Olympus E-P1

Fantastic all-round camera – I have had my E-P1 for a couple of years now and have travelled with it and taken thousands upon thousands of photos with it. It was my original intention to use it manually so I could have full control of each shot but I quickly found that the auto modes worked so well that I now never use the manual option. If you have some basic photographic knowledge and apply it to the auto modes this camera will please most people.
I still have only the lens that came with the kit which is acceptably sharp but not all that wide. If I were to buy anything for this camera it would be a very wide lens, but wow! are they expensive or what!
The E-P1 handles low light situations wonderfully with almost noise-free results and normally I use the flash in fill mode as I try to expose for ambient light. The camera also handles bright light very well and renders colours pretty accurately.
I have played with various modes, but tend to stick to natural colour and standard format although I have found that square portraits are beautiful.
I would recommend this camera to anybody looking for near SLR quality but at a much lighter and easier to use package. Quality - Olympus is always good. Sharp lens. Low light results Expensive lenses
Stylish looks, great camera – What can I say? This camera is the only digital camera I will have. It took me a long time to move from my film SLR to a digital camera, because I didn't feel that the quality of the photos were good enough, but with the Olympus Pen, I have taken some fantastic pictures. Great Sharp Photos, Great Retro Look, Easy to use. Bad Warranty Service
Compact and High Quality, the best of both worlds – A camera that provides you a bit of freedom on settings to experience your inter-photographer abilities but also for non-experts allowing you to leave all on automatic. Compact enough to take it around but still amazing quality on the outcome. Not as professional as some other options out there but certainly close enough and best option for me as portability is an important point in my opinion. amazing picture quality, easy to use, lots of settings options, good price range no in built flash, expensive accessories...
Excellent – This is Olympus's first micro four-thirds camera, based on the four-thirds system developed by Olympus and Panasonic. The compact form fits a larger image sensor than a standard compact digital camera, which allows for better image quality. The system allows for interchangeable lenses, supporting lenses from Olympus's and Panasonic's micro four thirds system, four thirds system lenses (with an adapter) and many older OM mount lenses (with an adapter). The camera features inbuilt image stabilization, but lacks a built in flash and viewfinder. There is a hotshoe on top for an external flash or viewfinder to be attached. Compact size for high image quality, hotshoe, built in IS No internal flash, slow auto focusing (is being addressed with firmware upgrades)
