Can you give 0 stars? – Very disappointed. We are hoping we can return it under warranty. I love olympus and have had 3 so far after being given my first as a birthday present when i was 13. This camera is great that it is shock proof and water proof (especially with 2 little kids!) But if you want a good photo it is useless. Honestly it takes about 20 seconds to turn it on. Then you think you haven't pressed the button properly so you press it again, it turns off and you have to start over! I have got into the habit of turning it on as soon as i pick it up now.

To take a photo, you press the button, count to 7 then tell the kids to smile, don't expect an instant reaction!

And then when the photo is taken (if the kids haven't turned away and are interested in something else) the photo is either way too bright (using the flash) or too blurry (without a flash)

I have tried ALL the different photo menu options and none are really great.

Basically we are surprised if we get a good photo.

Dont mean to make it sound so negative but it is the truth. I don't know maybe we got a faulty one, but we will be making a trip back to the camera shop! Shock proof & Water proof Extremely ssslllooowww, the photos turn out either to bright or too blurry

Good all-rounder – My husband & I bought this camera overseas after I dropped our last non-waterproof camera into water. The shockproof function has already come in handy! It's relatively inexpensive and takes decent quality photos which are adequate for amateurs. The camera does take a few seconds to turn on,
