Olympus SP-510 Ultra Zoom

Excellent – Have had this camera since 2006 and never had a problem with it. Haven't used a lot of it's features, just the basics. It does take ok night photos. The batteries, which are 4xAA last for between 600 - 800 photos which I think is pretty good (compared to other cameras I've had which I seemed to be forever replacing them). Easy to use, lots of different settings to choose from, quality of photos is excellent. I really love this camera. The shutter speed is quite slow, hard to get good action shots. I would sometimes prefer a smaller, less bulky camera that could fit in your pocket.
