Olympus SP-600 Ultra Zoom
MPN: 2276701 review
Disappointed – My previous camera was a compact Olympus which made really great quality photos so I went for another Olympus after I dropped and broke the first one. I bought this camera mainly for the good price and trusting the Olympus make. I can't fault the quality of the image...but the problem is the get the setting and focus right!!! The auto-focus is the big let down, rarely works with the results that most of my photos are unusable. The scene mode also doesn't really match the mode selected, so again it's a bit of a guess game. After owning if for nearly two years I kind of know what mode to use but each photo is a struggle so I will be buying a new camera soon.
Pity because I was so impressed with my previous Olympus camera.
Other minor let down: lens cap keeps falling off, AA batteries that don't last enough, display doesn't warn you when batteries are about to end, energy save mode makes camera very slow to activate. Image quality, optical zoom, price auto-focus not working, scene mode not working, lens cap keeps falling, energy save mode makes camera slow, AA batteries and display that doesn't warn you of batteries remaining life
