Olympus TG-310

Budget digital camera that goes to all your adventure – This camera really can take the distance, it's waterproof, snow proof, and can take a little beating. However, i found out that for a camera design for such adventure, it's speed for focusing and capture is quite slow. And the picture quality is not very good even in the highest setting. Inexpensive waterproof digital camera Focus & capture speed is slow, picture quality is low
Great Camera! – I have only owned my TG-310 Tough for the last 2 weeks and am so impressed with it - it's a great all-rounder for photography where I cannot take my E-620 DSLR This camera comes highly recommended from me for those who travel a lot.... Compactness, tough, go anywhere
Only had this camera 3 months and already faulty – Bought this model as it was supposed to be water resistant and tough. Good size screen and Olympus has easy to use software to go with their cameras. Wanted a chargeable battery as updating from an old Canon Powershot that had a battery life of about 5 minutes. The TG-310 has proven a bit of a challenge to get used to. I thought it would have a lot quicker reaction time than our old Canon but it's quite slow to focus and to take a shot.
We already have issues with connecting the camera to a PC. IT worked the first couple of times but now the connection isn't recognised by the PC. Olympus tech support are difficult to get hold of and slow to respond.
Overall - not very happy with this purchase and should have gone for the Panasonic Lumina like I intended before I got talked into this one by a salesperson at a professional camera retail store. Compact, easy to hold and good sized screen. Long battery life. Doesn't connect to PC after only 3 months.
