Save your money! I didn't – If I could return it to shop I would, but I ditched the box. GPS appears to be designed as a battery flattening device. It takes 10 minutes every time the camera is switched on to get a fix. The battery life is measured in minutes, seriously, switch it on take the picture, switch it off otherwise it'll go flat within a day. Switching the GPS on makes it even worse.

The joystick is fiddly and prone to false selections (it doubles as the OK button)

The movie shutter is controlled by a button on the back that you need to operate with your thumb, somehow...not the normal shutter button.

The shutter lag if you take a picture straight after it's switched on is measured in seconds, no quick suprise snaps with this baby.

As an owner of 3 other Olypus Tough cameras I can say that this is a very dissapointing camera. Shiny black case Shutter Lag, Battery Life, Joystick Control, Movie shutter control

Do not buy if you want to use GPS – This camera is tough, waterporoof and takes a nice photo but I purchased it as it had a GPS. Poor decision, the GPS takes up to 15 minutes each time the camera is turned on to get a fix. This is woefully slow. The accuracy of the GPS is also woeful, it can be at best several 100s of metres away from where you actually are, or usually several kilometres. The GPS is USELESS, the only thing it does well is drain your battery. It is a pity, as apart from the fiddly joystick control, I have found the camera great. It is a bit heavy but this is to be expected in a tough casing. Photo quality, waterproof, toughness GPS function useless

Regret my purchase of this camera. I had a Panasonic camera to take still pics & video and it worked beautifully in either mode, but wanted to replace this one with a waterproof one.

The TG-810 is great as a still camera, but when using it to take video, the auto focus clicks in and out of focus whilst your are videoing (like riding a roller coaster). Contacted their Customer Service, and got a poor (almost rude) response. Their response was that the camera is designed to take still photos - if that is the case and the quality of the video is so poor - why bother to give it the option of taking videos ????
