Bad – Its an ok Camera, Best feature is being water proof and that its so tough, but its just too slow to take photos. My photos come out clear. Great that its water proof and so tough. After a week of having the camera water spilt all through my bag, camera was dripping wet.... but luckily its water proof. Best thing about camera. Very slow to take photos. its hard to catch the moment when the camera is so slow. I try to take a photo of my son and by the time the camera has done it my son has moved.
OK – that thing is tough! my daughter (15 months) has dunked it into the toilet, thrown it across the room, chewed it, given it to the dog ... the camera now looks shocking but works perfectly fine! The major problem is the shutter lag, I wanna catch my daughter doing those cute things but I can't as it takes 4-5 seconds to get going, even with the camera ready. Sort of a solution, turn the flash off and have the finger on the button half down, then you can pretty quick pictures. But for a point and shoot it's useless. The video function is very good, replaces almost a video camera but the picture quality on the video is not the best. If they could fix the shutter lag it'd be the perfect camera! Well, Aside from that stupid bar. I know what the point is, protect the lens and maybe have a bit of a quick start without having to push tiny buttons. More often it drains the battery in the pocket because it accidentally came open. tough! shutter lag
Good – This camera is fantastic in that it can be used underwater (and the photo's are clear when taken underwater), and is very tough and resistant to breaks. There are quite a few features for things like taking 4 photos in quick succesion so you can pick the one you like the best, also has auto settings for things like taking night time shots, fast moving shots and bright light, however the red eye reduction feature can be turned on and left on. Each time you turn it on, you have to go in and switch red eye on, which when you are trying to get a photo in a hurry is a bit of a pest. Overall a good camera though. Fantastic battery, waterproof Red eye reduction has to be turned on manually everytime you turn the camera on.
Excellent – This little number is the best digital camera that i have bought. Its simple to use, takes good photos and best of all can be dropped, kicked, wet and roughly handled without damaging its fragile internal components. Its an all round camera whether you use it on holiday, at home or at work it will continue to impress and not let you down. Shock Proof, Water Proof, Metal casing for rough conditions, easy to use, good battery life If you keep it in your pocket like i do the front flap has the tendency to open on its own, running the battery down
Good – I have had an olympus for 6 years so when it was time to update it was the first one we looked at. With two small children we hav had mobile phones dropped in toilets and buckets of water so we went with the waterproof model. It an be a little technical for me to use but the instruction booklet certainly helps. The camera makes gorgeous photos so thats the most important thing I guess. It was on sale as the shop we purchased from was closing down and cost about $320.00. Waterproof and shock proof Can be abit hard to register online for warranty etc.
