Works a treat. Flick the thing on everytime there's rain and it works very efficiently – Works well. Have owned it for 8 years without a problem. I would highly recommend this as a solution to moisture inside a terrace house. 10l capacity usually can go all day. Show details ·  1

Everything is SO DRY! – We were living in a mould nightmare before this dehumidifier came into our lives: mould on the wall, the window sill, in our drawers and wardrobe. Walking into our house was like stepping into a dank and humid rainforest. After realising that the battle with spores would never end without outside assistance, we purchased this dehumidifier and the… Read more

effect was almost instantaneous. Within three hours, we had a litre of water, and a bedroom that no longer had damp carpet or water running down the inside of the window. Who knew that sheets and pillows were supposed to be crisp and dry? Or that one can expect to keep clothes for more than a month without worrying about mould stains? With this dehumidifier, you too can learn the wonders of not being moist all the time. cheap, portable, efficient, bit noisy, if the tank is really full it's awkward to empty

Impressive - takes in a lot of water – After switch to max, just in about 0.5 hour, the tank collected about 5ml water...maybe my room was too humid, but the work of machine is quite impressive. But the condenser and air warmer work together, i dunt know if it is energy efficient or not....and it is really a little bit noisy, only use it after i am out. Collect the water quickly No timer, little bit noisy

An effective, reliable and inexpensive option – I was pressured by a "reputable" Sydney damp dr company into spending thousands on under floor ventilation to fix a mould and damp problem and it was back within six months. Bought the Omega Altise and the musty smell and damp went straight away. Wish I'd done that first but was talked out of it when I mentioned it to them. I have the Omega Altise… Read more

plugged into a timer switch so it can run for a few hours when I'm out and switch itself off. The room always feels and smells clean and electricity consumption is economical. It's also portable enough to easily move from room to room. There could be an improvement on the look A little noisy

Fantastic Product and for a Great Price – I purchased the Omega Altise ODE10 as we were having a problem with moisture build-up in our bedroom, which caused the growth of small mold patches on our window sill as well as on the walls. This was ultimately having an effect on our health so I started to do a little bit of research into de-humidifiers and landed on the Omega Altise. The… Read more

biggest selling point of this model would have to have been the price ($228 from Appliances Online) and it ticked all the boxes for what we were after.

Having never used a de-humidifier before, I wasn't sure what to expect. The instruction booklet that came with the product was extremely detailed and helpful. It comes ready to go in the box, simply plug in and set the humidity level.

The first time we used this, we let it run for roughly 2.5 hours before bed. Within this time it picked up around half a litre of moisture and it made a noticeable difference when walking into the bedroom. Due to the noise level, we didn't leave it running while we slept as it was a tad loud for our liking (equivalent to an electric fan on high speed).

At the moment we are only planning on running it in small bursts a few times a week, though there is an option for 'continuous drainage' if you want to let it run over a longer period of time. This requires some 12mm piping which is not included with the product. Even if you choose the run this on longer bursts without 'continuous drainage', the machine will automatically turn off when the water tank is full.

When running the machine, ensure that there is 10cm of space on either side of the machine, this will ensure the best result. The filter is also easily removable for cleaning and should simply be rinsed under water or rinsed under warm water with detergent if it is extremely dirty.

All in all I am happy with the product, the only downside is the noise, though it is tolerable. Inexpensive, ease of use, easy to clean, effective Noise

I am very pleased I bought this appliance. No more musty room smells – I purchased this product in April 2012 in the hope that it would fix our damp musty smelling home. Within just a few hours of use it had eliminated the smell and removed a litre of water. I move it from room to room, leaving wardrobe doors open and run it for a few hours most days. In 2 weeks it has removed over 7 litres of water. light weight, easy to use, attractive appliance, reasonable price.

Amazing! Do not know how I managed without – I live in NQ and since 2007 we have had constant rain and floods during the summer. Everything was going mouldy and smelling, and no amount of clove oil or vinegar was helping. I bought 2 Omega Altise de-humidifiers from Apliances online, and within hours of first turning them on, the house smelled fresher, and i have had no mould since. I recommend these to anyone who has a damp problem. it does the job it is intended for.
