hopeless customer service – Bought this 18 months ago. Performance ok, but nothing to rave about. Much noisier than a pedestal fan, which I suspect is due to small size fan blades needing to run at a higher speed to be effective. Fan started making grinding noise and I tried to contact customer support as it was still under warranty. Their customer support line does not work (1300 795 572) gives an engaged tone each time for the last seven days. Probably having the Christmas break, but if that’s the case they should have a courtesy to leave a voice message to say so. So I was wasting my time. Tried to fill in the webform, but there is NO send button once it’s filled. I wonder who the genius came up with this idea.

Stay away from Omega Altise. If your product has issues you are on your own as their customer service is non-existing

Looks can deceive – Went into David Jones looking to purchase a Sunbeam Tower fan ($72 disc), ended up buying this ($135 disc) as it looked better and had More features than a similar stocked Sunbeam product ' The 360° rotation and the adjustable height was the selling point. All said and done .... in the end its a fan and that's where it falls short of expectations as its tiny 40 watt motor fails to deliver Performance.

Brisbane Summers need something more effective.

I'm listing the pro's and cons that might help you decide ... for me, I'm gonna Go Back and try to swap this Oversized expensive fan for 2x Smaller Sunbeams of the same Total price.

What I figure is placing 2xsmaller Towers on either side of the Television would not only look Better but also provide for a cross wind effect in the Living room. Quiet, Height adjustable, 360° rotation, Sturdy built and Looks, Ionizer Low air stream compared to Size and Price, 360º rotation loses Line of sight with remote thus ineffective when display not facing user, Bright display that Cannot be turned off, have to cycle through 3 levels of Oscillation before you can Switch Off oscillation Meaning the tower has already turned out of remote range by the time you click the remote thrice, lacked temperature display

Fan-tastic! – We purchased this fan because we needed a space saving design that would fit in the small space in our bedroom, without taking up too much space, and having a streamlined look to it. Safer to use around children (the slots are very small, little fingers do not fit in the gaps like standard fans) It will oscillate 90 degrees, 108 degrees or 360 degrees. It has many settings - normal, 'Natural' or 'Sleep'. When natural or sleep is selected, the fan will cycle through low, medium and high settings. There is also a timer which is handy if you only want the fan going for a few hours (until you get to sleep perhaps) There is also an Ion setting - the ionizer helps to purify the air and remove odours. My only complaint with the fan is that it has a blue lit LCD display....that sadly does NOT turn off! It stays blue and well lit the whole time the fan is on, which does annoy me when I am trying to sleep (lights the room up too much for my liking - but would work as a good nightlight in a childs room perhaps!) Overall, a very nice, quiet fan. Quiet, lots of settings, slender design, doesnt take up too much room Only complaint - LCD blue display doesn't turn off during operation, which can be annoying if you want to use it in the bedroom and you like to sleep in a very dark room

I have had one for a little over 12 months. It was great for the first summer but this summer it seems choked with dust. Attempts to use a vacuum have not helped. Ir seems to have an usual screw head so opening is difficult. Anyone else had this issue?
