Takes an eternity to cook, buttons get stuck – Bought this on the 8th February 2015 and have put up with it until now. We are a family of four, maybe we shouldn't have purchased such a small microwave, but just then, I had to re-heat two bowls of spaghetti bolognese; first thing I had to do was the old life-hack trick of putting bowl number 2 on a cup to make it fit. Then 9 minutes to make the food warm... but not hot. I know what you're saying, overloaded the microwave... So I just tried with bowl number 3 on its own. 5 minutes... warm, a cup of milk? 2 minutes. It takes an eternity! Also the start button gets stuck and randomly adds 30 seconds to a meal.

DO NOT BUY!

Actually cancel that; buy my one, it will be on gumtree for $5ono shortly!

Get an extended warranty! – Purchased this in 2009. Generally its an ok convection microwave for the price until recently when I tried to microwave - light came on, turntable rotated but food came out cold - microwave had suddenly stopped cooking any food. thankfully we had purchased an extended warranty. The repairs people said it could be fixed but the warranty people said it was uneconomical to do so and gave us money back. Other issues I had with the Omega over the 3 years -

1.convection cooking was uneven - back of the oven much hotter than front area

2.a few times when using convection the oven would just turn off completely - no power. then 10 minutes or more later come suddenly back on.

3.when using the convection oven, it will heat up to the desired temperature then beep to let you know the preheat is ready - unfortunately instead of maintaining the set oven temperature, it turns off. So if you are not standing by the oven ready with the food to put in, the oven starts to cool down. Very very frustrating to then have to preheat again. this is a major design fault I believe. Cheapest one on the market at the time for convection/microwave Microwave stopped working, convection heat not even

Excellent – I think it's a great microwave, we have never had any issues with it so far and have it for about one year. Buttons and setting are easy to use. This microwave looks really sleek in your kitchen, I like the stainless steel look for all my appliances. It is a small microwave but if you only have a small number of people in your household then it's fine, we really use the microwave for reheating anyway.

I do find the interior a little hard to clean sometimes so its best to always use a foodcover as u would definately want to avoid the food explosions.
