A miracle sent from the heavens above – I'm staying at a hotel in Tasmania where this machine is in use. My friend popped my jumper in the wash which I later realised had my $400 reading glasses in the pocket. The jumper was rinsed, washed, spun, AND dried! After the cycle was complete - it came to my attention that my rather expensive glasses (costing more than my flight to Tassie)… Read more

were in the machine and had gone through the in depth cleanse. My heart nearly hit rock bottom, until it was brought to my attention that the glasses were not only still intact with NO scratches, but they were the clearest, cleanest, brightest and sterdiest they'd ever been - with a fresh smell too. What. An. Experience. 5 stars to the incredible Omega OWD8000WA. This story will live on for generations to come. Thank you to all, and to all a good night.

Don't buy Omega washing machine dryer – Purchased an Omega OWD 8000 WA 5 years ago. Within a few months it threw up an error code and stopped working. Contacted the warranty number and described the problem giving them the fault code. Without inspecting the machine they predicted a particular part would require replacement and said they would order the replacement part. Subsequent to… Read more

following up each week a service man finally arrived to replace the part after approximately four weeks only to find the machine needed to be replaced as it had "Major issues". Again we waited several weeks for the machine to be replaced. All this time without a washing machine. Finally, a replacement machine arrived but it was damaged and we were told the replacement machine would be replaced. We then indicated enough was enough and requested a refund. A refund was agreed to be paid after collection of the replacement machine. Unexpectedly, the refund arrived in the mail and we purchased a Samsung so we would not be without a machine for one day longer. However, the damaged replacement Omega was never collected so we ended up with two washing machines. Now the damaged replacement Omega failed after five years. It will not start. It just says 'End'. Our local repair man cannot repair Omega's and recommends more common brands like Samsung or LG. So as the machine says it is the 'End' of this Omega saga. We have now replaced the Omega with our five year old still unused Samsung which, if it does fail, our faithful local repairer will be able to fix in double quick time.

They are fine really if – Just make sure it is on a concrete floor or a very sound timber floor and ensure it is level and it is great.

omega range = rubbish – started with a 8kg front loader, so much trouble omega replaced the machine. they didn't make a 8kg machine anymore so replaced with a 7kg machine; the warranty threw so many spares at the new one, omega replaced it again( now third machine) this machine ran ok for about two years, long enough to be out of warranty (and now we find in the small… Read more

print of the extended warranty, that the warranty is void if the machine is replaced!), so off we go again the board has been declared defective, (wont spin, wont open the door). OMEGA? I won't EVER buy another and I wouldn't recommend that anyone else does either........unless you enjoy being frustrated.

Up until the sales manager left 18 months or so ago, Omega's customer service was brilliant, but he's gone now,.........you work it out! When it was working it was very good it stopped working too often

correction of error: - the first machine was a 9kg machine, subsequent machines were 8kg

This is a great washer and dryer! – I have owned this unit for 6 months and I have found it to be be very reliable. Great having the option of going straight from washing to drying, particularly over a very wet Winter. Doesnt take up too much space in the (very very small) laundry and easy to use. Highly recommended Multi functions, compact unit, ease of use.

Would not recommend this to anyone – One of the worst decisions. The washing machine has broken down so many times that I have to now throw it away and purchase a new one waste of money. It is still under warranty but the company is not prepared to replace it with a new one. I have used top loader machines prior ti this, but different brands like samsung and f&paykel, but never had to make a service call. This omega is just hopeless.
