Sales staff at Ballina were amazing with thorough product knowledge and out of the box suggestions. I am thrilled with my purchase of new Seville Modular Sofa and ottoman, and look forward to delivery. Buyer beware!!! Advertised as high quality — that is not what we received, and more concerning is the complete lack of integrity in how it's been handled. normal use, the fabric was pilling across multiple areas. OZ Design's written response was not to acknowledge a quality issue, admit to pilling and the solution is for me to purchase a de-pilling machine to maintain it. On a couch that cost nearly $2,000. Pilling was never disclosed at point of sale.
When I lodged a formal claim with Oz Design, they proposed their technician to inspect that couch and then bill me $150 for the privilege. That is not an independent assessment.
OZ Design's position, in writing, is that pilling after five weeks is acceptable. That is not my definition of quality, and I suspect it won't be yours either.
I wish I could add photos as they speak for themselves. They will not honour what they can avoid as under the ACCC pilling and quality is sadly subjective. I encourage you to shop elsewhere!

or free upgraded delivery so we decided to buy the 2 book cases and 2 buffet cabinets online instead. The website has really good measurements of not just the outside but also the shelve heights etc so it was very informative. Will be back to pick out some new bedroom furniture in the near future.
We bought a Charles buffet to match our Charles dining table. We think it would be good if there was an option to have some drawers in the buffet instead of only a single shelf. As a result we had to a shelf section and retrofit 3 drawers to one end of the cabinet. matches nicely with my dining furniture. The drawers are solid and well made they glide well when opening and close firmly. The buffet has a quality feel and look about it. The customer service was also great as you would expect from a retailer like Oz Design. I have no hesitation in recommending any of my friends to consider Oz Design for any of their furnishing needs.

It was easy to view the bedroom furniture in the store. The Gambino furniture was on sale and well priced in comparison to similar products in other stores. communicating when they were arriving and did a good job but $119 did seem a lot when we are only 8kms from Coffs . When looking at furniture companies in Grafton their delivery fees were $80-$90 (76 kms).
There was a lot of packaging but the goods were in pristine condition. The bed and bedside drawers were easy to assemble. The overall quality of the bedroom furniture is excellent. We are very happy with the finish and the look of the bedroom.

New chairs give our dining room a modern uplift – We looked online and found the chairs we wanted, then found a store in our town, which we hadn’t known was local. Follow-up · Leather has held up fine. The soft upholstered seat cushions can be removed (attached with velcro that holds in place very well) to vacuum crumbs. No assembly was needed.
I had trouble on the billing page, the online chat team solved it really quickly and were lovely to deal with. I ordered 2 x Kote shelves - which I already had two of from 10 years ago (still in awesome condition) to expand storage. The delivery guys were on time, super friendly and efficient. Follow-up · The shelves are natural and rustic and tend to match in with various wooden flooring. My style is a little eclectic mixing modern and rustic together with layers of a colour way. Such a joy buying from the Jindalee store. Staff are just lovely and helpful. After being let down and messed around by other companies these guys got it right. Over the past 8 months I have bought a number of items in the Port Macquarie store: bar stools, sofa bed; buffet; floor lamp; cushions; a solano bowl (on-line). I love going into Oz Design in Port Macquarie. The ladies in there are courteous, friendly and know their merchandise. If there is something they're not sure of, they find out! I purchased a Draper table which was very nice looking in the shop. The staff were also nice. However, upon delivery of the item it was scratched in several places which was very disappointing. Another new table was offered alongside a tiny refund to keep it or a in store voucher for a higher sum. Trying to trick me into spending more money. This store is supposed to be high end furniture and it's the second time I have received faulty good form them. The quality control looks to be extremely poor. Two tables were not up to what you would expect form this company. Customer care was ok. They will be refunding me and picking up the table. My advice to anyone having issues is to definitely raise a complaint as it's the only way this company will get back to putting customers and their products first. Also demand delivery to your home. It's very disappointing as the furniture looks nice and the staff in the shop are great but there is a clear disregard for consistently providing quality manufactured goods.

Misrepresentation and damaged goods with 2 confirmed major failures in less than two weeks and stubborn refusal to provide meaningful remediation. Second, not having a table I rushed to purchase a Dawes dining table from clearance. Despite being reassured fragile handling standard, the table was poorly damaged by Oz Design’s right before delivery. Oz Design admitted in writing that this was a major failure (again!).
I requested a replacement, which was available, and the ACCC confirmed that under Australian Consumer Law, for a major failure, the consumer chooses the remedy. .
I was once more left high and dry with Oz Design REFUSING the replacement, arguing they could not “match the scratches” (minor).
This is an absurd position and not how Australian Consumer Law works. Clearance items are not excluded from consumer guarantees, and for a major failure the consumer chooses the remedy. Instead, Oz Design forced a refund otherwise putting claim on hold effectively stalling while I was left without a dining table after weeks of disruption.
This shows a concerning pattern of misrepresentation, careless handling, and deliberate minimisation of responsibility, doing the ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM to close the case rather than provide areasonable resolution. ESPECIALLY after i experienced TWO major failures in a row.
Overall, this was an excruciating and despicable customer experience.

When we contacted customer service, they refused an in-store exchange or refund because the item was purchased online. Instead, we had to wait nearly 3 weeks for a warehouse replacement. After going through the hassle of transporting the item back and forth ourselves, the replacement arrived with the exact same rocking issue.
The whole process has been frustrating, time-consuming, and exhausting for what should have been a simple furniture purchase. Poor quality control combined with inflexible and unhelpful customer service made this a very disappointing experience. We expected much better from OZ Design. We are now stranded with a rocking bedside table.
