which was then pushed back to the 18th and now no one can find my order or guarantee me a delivery date. I'm 30 weeks pregnant and moved into a new place with no couch and a mattress on the floor. They keep saying they are processing orders as normal and delivering which is a lie because they cannot give you a delivery date or won't return your calls. I've never seen such bad service and they have been using the excuse of systems being down for three weeks. My items were suppose to be in stock which was a lie. Stay away as they are just taking deposits at the moment and then not delivering.

Terrible customer service and unresolved Australian Consumer Law issue Dont hold your breath while waiting for a reply . Purchased a lounge from… Read more
Focus on Furniture for $2,559.00 including delivery. The lounge arrived with damage, and after a long, drawn-out process and multiple defects (including structural squeaking), they agreed to collect the lounge for a refund.
While they have picked up the lounge, they are refusing to refund the full amount paid on the original invoice, withholding the delivery fee despite the return being due to a major defect under Australian Consumer Law. Dealing with their customer service has been extremely frustrating with long delays and lack of communication.
This matter has now been formally escalated to NSW Fair Trading. I strongly advise caution when purchasing from them.

only opened one. There were multiple big and small chips in the holes where you insert the little metal rods to hold shelves, and a 5c piece size round gouge on one of the panels . The colour is also not as bright as it looks online. Given I needed to replace the damaged item, I requested to return both and replace them with the white version of the exact same cupboard. Firstly they accused me when I spoke with someone, of causing the damage “during assembly”. No! I NOTICED the damage during assembly. I’d not yet even taken the little metal things out of their plastic packet! The damage was already there. And the gouge was also already there. How on earth would I have dolled that? There was also a small scratch dent on the front of one of the panels.
Then they refused to exchange the cupboards. This experience has really put me off purchasing through T&W again.
Other places through whom I’ve purchased online have been amazing at exchanges and returns. To return the item to T&W is going to cost ME $90 and to repurchase the white cabinets would again cost me extra postage. Never again!
This company seems to be fine if you don’t have a problem but heaven forbid you should have. Absolutely SHOCKING customer service. I WAS considering buying a very expensive leather couch from them but not a chance now.
Shame on you Temple & Webster.

manufacturing defect—completely misaligned pre-drilled assembly holes, rendering the frame physically impossible to assemble safely.
This major product failure has delayed our entire business launch. What followed has been a masterclass in atrocious customer service and a total disregard for Australian Consumer Law (ACL):
The 15-Day Runaround: It took over two weeks of exhaustive back-and-forth with their overseas support team just to get them to agree to a return.
Excluding Statutory Rights: Despite this being a major product failure under the ACL, their support team repeatedly tried to deny the return because our assembly team had already shredded and recycled the cardboard boxes. Under the ACCC, consumers are not required to return defective goods in original packaging.
Incompetent Requests: They repeatedly delayed the process by demanding we provide them with the dimensions and physical weight of the item—information that they, as the retailer, already have listed on their own website.
Slow Response Times: Their email cadence is abysmal. They ask one nonsensical, repetitive question per day, dragging the process out as long as possible.
Current Status: We are effectively being held hostage by Luxo Living. They have strictly instructed us not to touch or remove the defective sofa while they "arrange a courier," yet it has been sitting in our living room blocking our space for three days with no pick-up schedule confirmed.
As a direct result of Luxo Living’s delays, we have lost an estimated $1,500+ AUD in booking revenue because our listing launch is paralyzed.
I have officially lodged a formal complaint with the ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) regarding this company's business and support practices.
If you are a business owner, property manager, or value your time and sanity: DO NOT buy from Luxo Living. Their lack of quality control is matched only by their lack of customer support.

considerate and solicitous when offering mattress guidance and sleep advice without creating the overbearing hovering or pushy atmosphere you'd receive from other businesses in the area. This gave us time to look around and try the mattresses in the showroom ourselves. Unfortunately, the marketing side is very bland. There's little to no information on the sales tickets which meant we had to keep calling the staff member over. Of course, she were so pleasant and patient with us, but it also made us feel as though we were bothering her by asking too many questions. We left without purchasing as we didn't feel that the products reflected the pricing or branding of a "factory direct" business, but the honest, informative experience we had with the staff member was the better part of our visit.

part of the sofa out of the 2. The other package delivery was a mattress which i did not order. I made multiple attempts at contacting and providing as much details as possible so that the sofa could be redelivered asap but it was literally the opposite from Brosa.
At the point of delivery, i was away for a short leave. Hence, i could not check it at the very moment. After weeks of waiting and poor communication from Brosa, i have finally gotten a email that the product is now a presale and the waiting time could be up 7th December, Mind you i have made the purchase on 30th June. Additionally, they were very keen and quick on sending details about the return of the mattress but it was the total opposite for the sofa.
Additionally there is no contact number, i have sent multiple emails at getting a refund abut it seems like they are very uncooperative and gone to deaf ears.
Lastly, it is noticed that there are multiple ppl handling this issues but no one actually resolving the problem, i have gotten emails from different support service team which shows clearly that the issues has not been handled professionally. Asking for details and information again when i have already provided all the information.
Personally I would never recommend anyone purchasing products from brosa ever again. Currently, i have sent a email asking for a refund again. Guess it gonna take a week for that reply too.

Should I shop at a physical or online store?
Choosing whether to shop online or at a brick and mortar furniture store depends on what you’re buying. If you’re shopping for something that needs to be comfortable, like a couch or mattress, then you won’t be able to discern its comfort online.
We go through some pros and cons of both below.
Physical furniture stores • See all
Online furniture stores • See all
What to look for when choosing a furniture shop
Product quality
You don’t necessarily need to fork out for the highest quality furniture, but you should be able to decide for yourself whether the price of something is worth the quality of construction and materials.
For wood furniture, solid wood is generally the highest quality, while veneers are mid-grade and composite wood is of a lower quality.
When shopping for upholstered pieces, indicators of high quality include a hardwood frame (as opposed to particle board) and assembly with dowels and screws (rather than glue, staples and nails).
Product range
Not many people have much spare time on their hands, which is why you might want to think about the product range of a furniture shop. If you want to kit out a whole room or house, then you may be more inclined to shop at a furniture store that has a wide selection of products so that you don’t have to visit multiple stores.
Of course, if you’re after specific items, then a more specialised shop, such as an outdoor furniture store or a bedroom furniture store, may be a better option.
Returns policy
You should always read a retailer’s return policy before you make a purchase. Consider the following questions:
- How long do you have to send it back for a refund?
- Who will pay for the return delivery?
- Will the store come and pick it up for you, or do you have to arrange the return yourself?
Customer feedback
Reading reviews that customers have left is a good way to figure out how reputable a furniture store is. Seeing what others have had to say about a store’s customer service, product quality, delivery times, and returns experience can help you figure out whether or not you would want to purchase from there.
Delivery
You should expect delivery fees, particularly if you’re ordering a large item such as a sofa. However, some retailers will offer free delivery if you spend over a certain amount or charge a flat rate regardless of how many products you buy.
Assembly
Check the item description to see whether assembly is required, and see whether it specifies how long assembly is estimated to take. Assembly could mean anywhere from 15 minutes to 3 hours, so it’s important to know what you’re getting into before you place an order.
Price
You'll find that different furniture shops will stock different brands and products, and so prices can vary greatly. It’s easy to get carried away with finding the most beautiful piece of furniture for your space, but you need to think about your budget and which items you want to spend more or less money on.
For example, a high-quality, comfortable mattress will help you have a restful sleep, which is priceless. Similarly, if you’re working from home regularly, you might want to invest in a supportive, ergonomic office chair to help prevent back and neck pain. Meanwhile, there may be some less used or less visible items - such as the odd side table or a shelf that will be tucked away in the pantry - that you may be happy to go to a cheaper store to purchase.
Warranty
After-sales service can be as important as your experience up until purchasing an item, and even more so if you have issues with your purchase. Even if a furniture store has an amazing reputation, this means little if their products aren’t backed by a lengthy warranty. Look for at least a 10-year warranty on larger pieces of furniture and expensive purchases.
Tips for when you shop
Enquire about promotions
If shopping in store, ask about any upcoming sales or promotions to see whether it’s worth waiting for a better price. If you’re shopping online, look for a promo code - some retailers will give you a discount for your first purchase from their site or when you sign up to their newsletter.
Compare prices
Sometimes you can also ask the sales representative at your preferred retailer to match or beat the price of an item that you’ve found cheaper elsewhere.
Double check the measurements of what you're buying
That’s right, whip out the measuring tape and compare the measurements of furniture against the space you have in your home for it. When ordering dining chairs with arms, ensure that the arms are low enough to fit under the dining table.
Plan how you'll get the furniture inside your home
Make sure that furniture can be delivered through your entry door and interior doors and hallways. If it’s too narrow a fit, then you may have to arrange for it to be delivered disassembled.
Get fabric swatches, wood samples, and wallpaper samples if you can
Some online retailers can mail you a fabric swatch of a product you’re considering buying. This can help you see whether it matches the decor in your home and what it looks like in your home’s own lighting.
Hello Peter, Thank you for your feedback.… Read more
