Great Camera – I have always owned video cameras starting from the large VHS video camera to small digital tape cameras and I buy one when the technology has grown in leaps and bounds. This camera has come a long way. It is very versatile. It switches off when you close the screen or press the eye peace in. It selects a mode for film eg. Night, fireworks, racing cars, portrads, without you having to do it. It switches off if you forget to switch it off, it stops recording if you forget to press the stop button and then focus it on the ground. it tells you if you are panning to fast. The picture quality is much better than my old camera and I had to switch it to standard def because my computer could not handle the extra information. I purchased the model with the hard disk thinking I would run out of SIM but My trip to Asia was all done under 4gig and the hard disk is 220gig. It is very versatile and easy to use and plenty of harddisk space and quality of picture in HD Could not fault it other than need to purchase seperate charger if you want a second battery to charge up while using the machine
