Legend – I purchased this camera because I wanted the functions of a DLSR without the bulkiness for a photography course. This camera allows you to adjust the Iapetus, white balance, shutter speed and heaps more. Perfect all rounder rechargeable battery rather than AA batteries

Great compact camera! – This is a great compact camera and it does a great job for indoor and close shots but it can get a little fuzzy on long distance shots. But that is why we should get a bigger camera with a longer optical zoom... isn't it? LOL. And I like the "Ai" mode, Automatic everything! But all in all, this is a very good camera for you everyday photo taking ;) Inexpensive, compact, great photo quality, good size LCD screen. Photo's can get a little fuzzy on long distance shots.

Very impressed – After a Canon S3IS, this is my first small compact and it compares really well. It is a 'mid' range Panasonic with an 8X zoom and Leica lens. There are a few things that could be better - in Ai mode it operates at 16 megapixels or drops to a low 5MP, even though in normal shooting mode you can select 10MP. The balance of weight and slim handgrip make it difficult to operate one handed. Some zoom shots outdoors are not as crisp as I would have hoped, the 5.9 optimum aperture in zoom may be the reason for this. Colours can be a little on the warm side but photos look attractive. Indoor flash photos are excellent. Very impressed with image quality and performance in difficult lighting situations. The menu is not very intuitive and there are some odd combinations - like including 'stitch' in with all the scene options (baby, pet, portrait etc) but it is not too hard to get used to. There are lots of fun options and room for 'play' as well as the Ai (intelligent auto) point and shoot mode, which performs really well. Not disappointed at all. Easy to take great photos.
