Good..while it works – A good all round camera which takes relatively good pictures, good video and has an array of picture settings. I treat my camera very kindly irrespective of it's tough features, they are just a useful bonus. However, it is just under 2 years old and stopped working, I had it in the water a little whilst I was swimming and I can only assume the waterproof element has failed. I dried it out as per instructions after the swim but it is completely cactus.
I have other cameras which are years old and are going just like new.
For a product supposed to be so tough and rugged it's not much help if it doesn't last very long. Good whilst it worked Not so tough. Don't trust the waterproofing.
Future and Shock Proof Camera – This camera comes in a range of bright colours and has a range of nifty features including 12m waterproof, 2m drop shockproof and has a GPS system so that it can record the location the photo/video was taken. Of course there may be instances where you may wish to turn the GPS off! The main thing I like is the GPS feature and the separate video record button. The camera is not as intuitive as other Lumix models I'd tried in the past and there was no printed manual with it. The box packaging itself isn't very stury. Great GPS feature No manual, does not handle intuitively
Great for underwater shots and HD videos – We bought this camera in addition to the Canon DSLR we own as it is perfect for underwater shots (we snorkel and spend lots of time at the beach) and it was also rated quite highly for the HD video use which we use a lot also. It is a great point and click camera, and the functions are fabulous and easy to use. I love the one-click video recording function which is much better than having to change the settings to video recording and then remember to change them back for taking still shots.
We have taken underwater videos and stills and they have come out really clear, even the sound!
We purchased this online for about $300 which is pretty good as the stores were at or over the $400 mark. Definitely worth it! One-click HD video recording, excellent underwater use, many easy to use functions
