Very satisfied – Purchased 12 years ago after having a poor run from an expensive Bosh machine. It’s still mechanically faultless. Managed all the cloth nappies from the two kids and animal bedding along with all our regular washing. only criticism would be that most of the print for the setting has rubbed/washed off the facia now so we keep a laminated card in… Read more ·  1

Served very well – Lasted around 7 years, cost me around $1200. If it would be cheaper it get 5 stars. Did 1 repair around 3 year mark, around 7 year mark a sign came up "needs reset call service" so decided to sell it. Doesn't move on spinning, not too noisy. Show details ·  1

Cant spin a single towel – Works ok I guess the active foam seams to be a gimmick, has trouble spinning. For example one wet bath towel is a no go. Can't do it just gives error codes. Probably last Panasonic thing I buy. Show details

One of the best front loader washing machine that I've owned – We brought this Panasonic NA-148VX3 front loader washing machine about 6 years ago at a big store that sells everything . My wife picked this washing machine and the amount of work it has done in that time has been incredible. From teenagers clothes and baby's clothes it has keep them all nice and clean . This washing machine is very reliable and… Read more ·  2

to date we have any trouble with the washing machine at all. There are many cycles you can use to wash your clothes from a gentle cycle, to colours , sportswear , bedding , silks and out door clothing , it also has a quick 50 minute wash cycle and a rapid wash cycle goes for 15 minutes. This washing machine is very satisfying to me and my family as we use the washing machine nearly everyday . With this product I gave it a 5 star rating , but if there was a 10 star rating on this washing machine I would give 11 out of 10. Everything I said about this washing machine is totally true and I give my word of honor on this washing machine I own the Panasonic NA-148VX3.

Large capacity for a small size – It is sturdy. Its intelligent cycle actually varies the wash time compared with some other brands which don't seem to do anything. When it finishes it does beep, unlike Miele. We were constrained by the cabinet space it has to fit in. The only alternative we had include LG 7kg and Miele 7kg. directly on the ground. We had to have the top plate removed and metal plate installed and LG doesn't come with this feature. We were going to go with Miele if they would install it. Miele won't so I had to look else where.

Anyway, when we found this Panasonic 10kg, we were amazed how large its capacity is given the small size! Nothing else has this capacity for the size. It has memory feature and does cold water wash. Its internal drum is deep. Unlike Miele, you can pause the wash and add more in if you really want to. It is also very quiet and heats water up by itself hence only requires one water inlet. The metal plate is awesome. Its mounted with 14 screws. Very strong, stronger than the original plastic / fibre board that are mounted by 2 or 3 screws.

Overall, we are very happy with it. Hope it lasts.

Most expensive and worst washing machine i have ever owned – I have owned this machine for 2 years now. machine constantly gets clothing and coins stuck in the pipes and internals of the machine. The machine manages to suck both adult and childrens socks into the internals of the machine resulting in myself having to access the internals from underneath the machine. The machine now makes clunking and whining noises like it still has something stuck and / or bearing are worn?

I have made all reasonable effort to use lingerie bags for smaller items but occasionally (as happens with 3 small kids) something will get missed or a coin will get missed in a pocket and then it gets stuck in the internals of the machine.

I am so disappointed with this machine I just want to sell it and move on. getting an paying someone to come and service the machine doesn't seem like a suitable option as the machine seems to be poorly engineered and the problem will be on going.

Not the best – It cleans well enough - however there have been times where there is still detergent residue on the clothes, and since mine is relatively old sometimes it doesn't wash properly, leaving a musky-sweaty smell on the clothes. It has broken down twice in the past couple of years - part defects, however we've managed to resolve it fairly quickly - in about a week of finding the problem.  Show details

Can't Bearing This – We bought this machine in July 2012, so it's not quite 5 years old. Just over two years ago it chewed through its first set of bearings, which Panasonic fixed as a warranty (fit for purpose) issue, even though the machine was out of its 2-year warranty period. When he was fitting the new bearing the technician remarked how the protective boot on… Read more

it was more generous than on the original - manufacturer having become aware of a fault? But now the noise it's making says that the bearings are chewing themselves out once again - not really impressive, and it seems it's a congenital fault with this machine. Although in every other aspect it's been good - washes well etc - we're now doing preliminary work to getting yet another machine, and Panasonic is not on our list. Rated it 2 stars not because it doesn't wash well, but because 2 sets of bearings in 5 years is imply not good enough.

The filter had nothing in it and the exit hose had no problems so the problem was between the filter and the drum. There was also an odd rattly sound... maybe the 20c piece mentioned by another reviewer..

Love it so far! – I previously had front loaders and wasn't very happy with them. has a large capacity and a large door. I can practically fit a bucket into the door! I noticed with a lot of front loaders that the max capacity isn't true on a lot of the wash programs, so I thought that at least with a 10kg washer, I should be able to fit a decent amount of clothes in like I could with my top loader. And I can fit a lot in to this machine but again, if I overload it, it doesn't wash properly of course. (It wasn't too bad though, even with a very large load, and nowhere near as bad as the [censored word removed] the last machine would leave on my clothes.) I haven't attempted anything like quilts yet, so can't comment on that. Not sure that a queen size washable wool quilt would be ok to put in there.

For most of my washing I use the Quick 50 program with cold water and it only takes 46 mins - fantastic! I also love the Rapid 15 minute program. Good for giving the swim gear or a soft toy a quick wash. I haven't used many other programs, other than changing the mode to do a spin or rinse and spin only.

It washes my clothes well and doesn't leave any residue or anything on them. The towels come out quite stiff but I think this is supposed to be the case with most front loaders? I won't use fabric softener in my machine, as I've read that it's not supposed to be good for it, but I use vinegar in that compartment instead.

It is also very quiet and I love that I can stop the program and it lets me add more clothes (which is another reason why I originally wanted a top loader).

I have had this machine for about 4 months now and hope that it will continue to work well for me (touch wood!). Washes well, quiet, large capacity, quick wash programs, can stop the program and add more clothes!

Panasonic washer is quiet – Okay so ive had this unit for about 6months and I know this cause I was reaching for the receipt cause I too had the u11 code pop up. "Cannot drain". so I couldn't open the door. Had a good look inside the lint filter and saw behind it what appeared to be white lard looking substance completely blocking the hole. As per the usual standard this happened on a friday so no service till Monday.

Then researching I found that there is a different detergent for these high efficiency machines that produce less soap scum. Anyway I posted here as I feel this may be a problem for others and could save a few hundred dollar service fee.

No fault of the machine it is great. Quiet, looks good and washes clothes. Wow now that's a washing machine.

Severely disapointed! I would not recommend this product for anyone – We bought this machine because of its incredible features and large washing ability. unblock the drain pipe, it seems it's a small hose and blocks easily. It took customer service 4 working days to fix that problem (6 days total). A massive inconvenience with two toilet training toddlers. It then blocks again a month later and not being under warrenty its a very expensive call out to have happen once a month. We have since worked out how to fix the problem ourselves and have to unblock it regularly.

The next major problem which was covered by warranty, was the door seal. It was extremely loose and would leak water, im not talking a trickle, it would gush out. It took them a total of 11 days to come out and fix, and 3 days to call me to get the ball rolling! I was completely disgusted and left without a washing machine. The service man fix the seal but cause a new issue. The seal is now too tight or big or something and the door struggles to latch and lock closed. which means i can't use the timer feature as it wont lock itself and therefore wont start. That feature was my favourite. When i rang to report this issue i was told it would take a couple of washes for the seal to stretch out. I am still (4months later) having to us my body weight on the door for it to lock!!!! I then tried to talk to customer service about having the machine replaced, i was directed from person to person and my complaints and issues were never resolved.

All in all, customer service at panasonic is awful and the washing machine itself is poorly designed. I have had nothing but trouble with it. cons far out way any pros poor design, constantly blocking, not at all good value for money

Great washing machine but be careful with loose items – I purchased this washing machine in April when HN were offering the free upsize deal. Was a bit dubious about going for a Panasonic as they are quite new to the laundry market, I have to say so far so good. Positives: - Awesome load capacity (Cotton setting only) - It washes extremely well and clothes smell clean (Top Loader would leave… Read more ·  2

clothes smelling of nothing)

- It analyses the load before the wash to tell you how full the machine is and allows you to add more clothes before it starts (Press pause after analysis).

- Lots of useful options available (24 Hour Timer, Memory option for favourite wash settings, washing for specific stains etc - not used yet)

- EXTREMELY Quiet

Negatives:

- Loose items such as bra hooks and also draw strings can get caught in the drum so definitely best to tie up and put bras etc in a wash bag or hook up (A week ago the machine displayed a U11 error message and would not drain. After a bit of research I found the culprit was a large piece of draw string off a hooded top must have got caught in the drum and ripped off, in-turn blocking the lint filter at the bottom of the machine - all fine after removing)

- When selecting the Cotton option, it sets the temp to 40 Degrees. Would have been nice if this was set to 30 Degrees instead. It cuts the load by 30 mins and saves energy as well as your clothes :)

These are small gripes for what is an excellent washing machine. Only time will tell if it is up there with the Miele's and Bosch's for durability. Definitely happy with my purchase. Well done Panasonic! :)
