Compact and effective – Purchased 2010 and it has been a love affair. Great product and has and still performs faultlessly. Easy to use, easy clean and looks the goods. Stainless not great if you have kids with sticky fingers and you like your kitchen pristine. Needs constant attention to ensure finger marks are clean off or it does not take long for it to far from its… Read more
best and that would be the only and very onor negative of the superb convection microwave. Needs to be a VERY GOOD rating in the review process to sit nicely between good and excellent. Now you know how I feel about this fine product.
Horrible machine - an expensive mistake – Had a Sharp convection microwave for 20 years and loved it. When it finally died I bought the Panasonic 4th Dimension Genius - a truly horrible machine. It is noisy, particularly in the cooling phase. Can only do microwave time in 10 second bursts, ie. no 15 minutes, only 10 or 20 seconds. The ceramic plate stains easily and impossible to… Read more
clean. I phoned Panasonic and spoke to a young man who was particularly unhelpful. It was one of the more expensive machines as well.
So far, so good – Had a genius 4 convection for approx 13 years, had it repaired 3 times and the 4th time the particular part was not available, left the oven at the repairer's premises. Now have had the new Dimension Genius 4 for approx 6 months and so far are very happy with it, more friendly user than other convection microwaves that we looked at. makes excellent pork pies.
Microwave component has broken 3 times - will buy a different brand this week – I bought a National Panasonic in 1985 and had it until 2008. This new Panasonic version has had the microwave part break 3 times this year. It is extrememly noisy in its cooiling phase. It is broken again now and I will not bother to repair it. I will buy another brand this week, Big - and my 25 yr old one was great Noisy and microwave part has broken 3 times
This is far from perfect! Can live without it! – About 6 months ago I updated my 10 year unit to the current model. Pretty much the same unit. I updated because the old one would not get up to temperature. The new one is worse, not only is it's thermostat faulty too, but both fans were rubbing on the casing, making a racket while they destroyed themselves. 3 times serviced under warranty and the… Read more
thermostat still does not work. By that I mean set the preheat to 200C and it will say it's ready at an actual temperature of 150C. Three or four more times and you might get near to 200C.
One more try under warranty then I'll be looking for a refund and another product. Looks OK. An oven that can't get to temperature?
Excellent – An excellent choice well worth the extra cost always cooks perfect meals and can do a full sunday roast in 30 to 40 mins, easy operation and very easy to clean. Cooks on microwave and grills as well as a conventional oven A bit on the large size Show reply
