Bad product – I find it strange that a system that is only two years old should need a service already it is not good that it will play dvds but not Blu-ray Discs I don’t think that I would buy any Panasonic product ever again the head office was not helpful at all would not recommend Panasonic to any one I have a Sony blu-ray in another room that is three times the age of the Panasonic and the quality of it is more superior to it  Show details

Doesn't last – After 12 months, unit would not play blu-rays. Disc assembly was replaced under warranty. Now 15 months later same issue. One expects things to last not break down every 12 months or so. However, the warranty service was great, with unit repaired within 7 days. Now i have to pay for repair if i want unit to be usable.  Show details

Almost good – Normally I dont buy Panasonic but got a good deal when I bought this system about three years ago. After about 2 years, the unit started making a grinding noise when I tried to play Bluray discs. Occasionally it wouldnt play the disc. DVD was never a problem. I decided that as I had the extended warranty I would wait till near the end before… Read more

getting it serviced. I wont go into how appalling it was trying to have it done. What ever the problem was, it could not be repaired. Still waiting for my new system, but hopefully the next model will be more reliable.

On the plus side though, its a great system, although wont play MKV files via usb. The DLNA works well, the wireless speakers were easy to connect and it sounds great. Although in its later years, i did start to get some scratching noise in the speakers at higher volumes if there was a lot of bass. I connected to my router using an ethernet cable and had little trouble setting it up. Well featured, easy network connection (optional wifi), wireless speakers, good sound. Does not play some file types (mkv, some avi), unreliable playback of subtitle (.srt) files (sometimes worked, sometimes didnt). Grinding noise on bluray discs in its later years. Unable to be repaired when only 3 years old, wont play video from sd cards.

Amazing! – I have never owned a home theatre system before and all i can is [censored word removed]... the sound is amazing and makes me wanna just watch movies all day! I have this set up on my Panasonic Viera LED LCD and the picture quality is just brilliant in Blu ray and 3D Blu ray, but even nomal DVD's are great on this. The 3D playback is brilliant and… Read more

im now trying to increase my 3D movie collection cos its addictive to watch in 3D!!! The sound is what its all about tho, i am no expert, but i think the sound is brilliant, especially when watching a movie like transformers or the dark night. i have only had this for about 2-3 weeks, so i cant comment on whether it will last, but i havent had any issues yet. i have used the ipod dock once to test it and it works ok, good little bonus to have with it although its not something i will use a lot of times. The putting together of the speakers was pretty easy once you figure it all out. i was going to purchase one of the less expensive systems with the tiny speakers but i am SO GLAD i decided on this model with the rear wireless speakers. i got this on a super special for only $499! Sound and picture quality. great value for what i paid for it.

amazing sound! lasted 13 months...Panasonic sure have gone to the dogs – After searching and searching for a decent sound system (under $1000) for our spare room, I settled on this system. this had by far the best sound quality. i kind of wish in hind site i never purchased it... after 13 months, while listening to my iPod, it died... After some internet searching i found the fault was quite major. it was out of… Read more

warranty so i took it to a authorized repaired ....Panasonic, i was informed, no longer make the part required....a DX board. after the worst service i have every received from a company Panasonic offered to swap my old system for new model at a discounted price (40% off) ohh great.... shell out twice for a poor product from a poor company....I know the will fix it and sell it in the seconds store..... even went to fair trading and this was still the best Panasonic could offer.... im going to the tribunal. great sound if you want a tempory soloution..... and shocking after service support from panasonic
