  SC-PT865W / SC-PT875W

Excellent – I never really used to be a "Panasonic person" but having recently been working in the electronics field, i have quickly changed my point of view. The SCPT875W is a great "home theater in a box" solution for an "everyday" user that likes watching movies, with great sound and doesn't have a budget of $10000. If you had that sort of money, buy something else, but for all us "everyday users", you can't go past this unit. One tip though, ignore what this unit sounds like in the store, once you get it home it will be twice as loud, twice as clear, twice as good. Also, not to take away from this great HTIB, but buy the Blu-ray equivalent, or you'll be kicking yourself like i am! Value for money. Easy to setup and operate. Sound quality is great. Subwoofer is great, even being a compact unit. USB input is great for taking movies/music from your computer and playing them straight from a thumbdrive. RF Wireless* rear speaker setup is good, as using infrared can be interrupted. Viera link is always handy if your using a Panasonic tv. I don't have an Ipod, but the Ipod dock built into the unit would come in handy. The only dislike i have with this unit is that i didn't want to spend a little more to get the Blu-ray alternative! Saying that though, DVD picture quality is great with a 1080p tv. Also, if you want to be very picky, *wireless isn't really "wireless", there is a WIRELESS transmitter box that you place at the rear of your room and the speakers are WIRED into this. But it still means you don't have wires running from the unit to the rear of your room, so it is, in essence, doing the WIRELESS job.
