Perfect van for the big round :) – I have purchased this van second hand and so far its just been a pleasure to tow. The power pack on this van has been upgraded. I can do free camping for as long as I like as the solar panels and inverter is sufficient to run the ac and the washing machine. The quality of the cupboards are excellent, all fitted with piano hinges. There is plenty of 240v power outlets and one 12v power point for the 12v Television. The shower is larger then some domestic showers with proper hot and cold water taps. A large water saving showerhead is fitted. The van is fitted with separate shower and toilet

Thetford chemical toilet is fitted and works great in an emergency. Plenty of cupboards and drawers and even under the bed is a big space. A 22litre 12v/gas hot water system is fitted which supply the kitchen, shower and hand basin in toilet with hot water. A 4 burner gas stove with oven and separate grill is fitted. All led lights inside and out. A 3 way 110L Electrolux fridge is fitted. Twin 9Kg gas bottles works good for those extended free camping times.

The sealing of the van is still in good condition and there is no leaks at all. the dual axle suspension works well on the road and the van is stable behind the car. I had to fit stabilizing weight distribution hitch to compensate for the high tow ball weight of 240Kg. It has 12" electric brakes on all four wheels.

All in all I am very happy with the quality and finish of the van

A great disappointment – We purchased our 2004 Paramount Delta in Nov 2004 and it was our first New vehicle ever apart from buying a brand new 4x4 to tow it. Less than 4 years after purchase we had to have to whole of the inside and outside of the boot area replaced because of leakage.......lack of Silicone Last year once again had to have the side windows taken out and the vent of the fridge replaced and the walls inside under the window relined because of water stain....lack of Silicone

Now we have to get it repaired again. The whole of the rear end,the entry door, inside the shower box and not sure how much more until it is pulled down and once again.....lack of Silicone used.

This all means that we have virtually had to replace and repair the whole of the caravan in just 7yrs so we are very dissatisfied and are very disappointed with Paramount as they dont want to know so obviously when they say on their website that the builders take pride in their work it isn't true. I think ours must have been built on a Monday as hardly any silicone was used so they must have been suffering from mondayitis.

Very badly constructed

Glennice are you aware that caravans need maintained your van should be serviced regularly & the van needs to be re-sealed every few years as the silicone detiriorates with the weather all vans are capable of leaking without the proper care.

fatbob_2009, The first big hob was done at around 4 years. Back in the 80s & 90s the recommended reseal recommendations were at least 10 years. Whit the modern sealants you should get more than that.

The big problem is the manufacturers do not use enough sealant under the J moulds. When you pull them off there should be no voids in the sealant, that is probably what Glennice if referring to, large air spaces in the sealant. For more info see this link - external link
