Ruined my love – .use to love these. Now they have like hard flakes in them and taste like they past their use by date..not good at all...put me off my favourites Show details
Not like they used to be – They used to be covered in rich chocolate with a richly flavored chewy pinapple centre but now they're not chewy any more and the pinapple flavour now tastes more like sugar. The chocolate is floury in texture - a trait common in low quality cheap chocolate. Show details

Horribly hard – I used to love these yummy pineapple lumps. Now every pack i come across they are hard as rocks and no longer enjoyable.
Not what they used to be – Saw a pack of these in woolies and thought I would treat myself! Boy was I wrong, these are not the chewy delicious treat I once knew. Now crunchy and too sweet with no flavour. Chocolate too thin and not very nice either.

Pineapple Heaven – I am addicted to these little squares of heaven known as Pascall Pineapple Lumps. When people pi## me off,I reach into my 44 gallon drum of Pascall Pineapple Lumps and one little square brings me back to being a delightful functioning member of society. They are always available in Woolworths and Coles. I often get them in The Reject Shop for $2 a… Read more
packet.
Update November 20/23 Sadly I can no longer eat these, they must have made some change to the recipe because I get an instant massive headache after one…Trust me it hurt to throw them in the bin.
Delicious once in Blue moon – Super delicious first few I didn’t want as I want to avoid sugary thangs but then gave it another shot and boom delicious …. You can also make a milkshake with them —-brush your teeth ASAP thou to avoid teeth holes and walk walk walk
Silly packaging – Has anyone thought that it might be a good idea to have the opening going across the package instead of down the length of the bag ? Excellent contents though Shame about how you have to get them out.
Negative reviews
Why oh why are they crunchy???? They are supposed to be soft – The pineapple filling was sort of marshmallowy and soft. Know it's like biting into a choc covered almod with a weird pineapple flavour. Show details
Horrible.....BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL, EVERYONE LOVED THEM, NOT NOW !!!!!!! – I grew up loving Pineapple Lumps, made the mistake of buying a packet at the supermarket today, what a waste of money, they should ban them from the shelves, think they just trading of people's good memories, what a shame............... What have you done? – Been buying these for months. Delicious. Purchased 2 bags last week from Woolworths. No comparison. These are awful. Chocolate is bitter and chewy centre has virtually no flavour. Couldn't eat them as chocolate left terrible taste in mouth and they were very unpalatable. We all tried them and agreed it tasted like nail polish. Absolutely woeful Pascalls. Show details

Lump Up The Jam – Just opened a fresh bag straight from NZ. I've seen some other reviews talking about the texture being 'crunchy'... well, youse must have dud bags. Cause these lumps are luscious, chewy and plump. The only caveat is that the pineapple flavour isn't quite there, and tastes almost like a piece of Juicy Fruit you've been chewing for an hour, only to… Read more
find that the words 'juicy' and 'fruit' simply do not describe the rather dim remnants of what could've been a satisfying pineapple bite. Despite everything, I remain a certified lump lover.
Stomach cramp from eating pineapple lumps – So I have never had trouble before. Is there a different type of additive now? After eating just 2 pineapple lumps, at various times I end up with stomach ache Show details

Lumps of Disappointment – These used to be my favourite, I bought a packet on the weekend and was shocked to find the usual juicy pineapple chewy centres were replaced by this barely flavoured crunchy stuff. The chocolate tastes too dark, too. Overall these are now awful, 10/10 do not recommend Show details
Rubbish!!!! Bring back original – They used to be such enjoyable little packages of soft chewy pineapple wrapped in yummy choco. Now they’re just weird sort of crunchy textured lumps with weird flavours. Not happy Show details
Why change?! – I thought my package was out of date and off. Why change from the soft and chewy fork everyone loved. They now crunch and gradually get to chewy but the crunch just throws you off from enjoying them. If, you change a product advertise it on the pa have so we don’t get disappointed and think they are off! Change back! Will prob just forget these ever existed as there is plenty of other choc and lollies on the market. Big mistake. Show details
Flavour???? – I am so upset tonight, I absolutely love pineapple lumps but tonight each one I have tasted just tastes like bursts of nail polish remover. This is the first time I have experienced this but am too worried to eat any more and don’t think I will but again in case of the same flavour. Not nice at all Show details
Inconsistent - good ones are great - bad ones are rubbish – I only recently discovered Pascall Pineapple Lumps so I cannot comment about the NZ product that came before them. I can say that the two packets I have tried (purchased at separate locations and times) have contained very inconsistent lollies. Both packets had a mixture of very soft almost marshmallow-ish lollies with a strong pineapple flavour… Read more
(loved these) and an equal quantity of very hard lollies with virtually no pineapple flavour at all.
I am assuming the soft ones are how they are supposed to be, given that they are flavourful.
Why did you make them so bad? – Texture not right , no pineapple taste . How can they get so bad so quickly ? Had a bag of pineapple lumps a couple months ago and they were so much better .. why would you do this to them ? Why? Show details
Disappointed – These were on special at woollies and thought I would grab a few packs as they are one of my families favourite things. I was shocked when they were hard and not soft and chewy, Chocolate was flakey this was not an enjoyable experience. I don't understand how they have changed so much in a few months. Show details
Where are the crispy ones? – I love pineapple lumps from my childhood, where they were 3 for a cent from the local dairy or corner shop. They also had banana flavoured ones and strawberry flavoured so I would buy each one and close my eyes to see if I picked correctly as I popped one in my mouth. My favourite has always been the pineapple ones but I remember them in more… Read more
milky chocolate and some were great as they snapped as you bit into them. So where are these ones? The ones you buy now are great but still not the same as yesteryears. Would be nice to have a multi flavoured pack filled with an assortment of various flavours like passionfruit. mango, grape, lime. orange, strawberry. banana and of course the much liked pineapple. But please bring on the crumch!
Terrible! Bring back the old ones – I live in London and my mother brought me some on her last visit. The choc is now dark and tastes fake and the pineapple just doesn’t punch through. Disappointed. Show details

Pascall pineapple lumps – Pineapple Lumps now made in Australia and no longer made with real chocolate but cheap compound chocolate. What a shame Cadbury has cheapened a Kiwi lollie. Taste is disgusting now. Show details
Weak Taste – The new pineapple lumps taste is weak as hell. There is no pineapple kick what so ever and the chocolate coating round the outside is nonexistence. What have they done to this Kiwi Icon. Show details
Weak pineapple taste – I miss the NZ made lumps! This new recipe did not meet our expectations. Will not buy any more. Used to be our favourite family treat. Sorry Pascal, you dropped the ball... Show details
Yeah nah – chocolate is too dark for a start and you can’t taste the pineapple no I will not be purchasing these Australian pineapple lumps again i am sorry to say this ok Show details
Gone are my favourite treats! – The new aussie made pineapple lumps are terrible. The first one I thought was ok but as I went on only about 1/4 of the bag was chewy the rest was soft. And the overall taste has changed the chocolate is wrong and the pineapple taste is weak. I'd be interested to know how much the sales drop as I'm sure I wont be the only one to never buy these again.
Aussie made pineapple lumps aren't the same – In early 2018 Cadbury closed the plant in New Zealand that made these since then I haven't been able to find a bag with the soft marshmallow pineapple lumps I loved growing up instead all I can find are hard chewy gum like pineapple lumps. Where are all the good lumps gone? And where are the confectionery gods? Where's the streetwise management to fight the rising odds?
What’s happened to them?! – I bought a bag of these this week, expecting the usual yummy pineapple taste and chewiness, sadly it wasn’t to be. Instead it was a bag of soft, yellow coloured sugar foam, covered in the most minuscule amount of milk chocolate. Where has the pineapple flavour gone, where’s the chewiness? Looks like the recipe has been changed, and if that’s the case I will not be buying them again. Such a shame!
Pineapple lumps no more – First make clinkers harder (too hard) now turn the chewy goodness of pineapple lumps into a bland soft nothing. Last time I am buying them!!!!!!!
Not the same...where's the chewy centre gone?? – I usually love pineapple lumps but the last 3 packets I have purchased, have a completely different taste and texture! They were always really chewy which is what I loved about them...now they are soft and sugary! No chew what so ever!!! What has happened?!! Has the recipe changed?!? If that's the case, I wont be buying them again! Yuck!!
