Pea Beu Insect Killer Spray

Useless – Like most other people the only thing this spray has any affect on is me with it's awful smell. Purchased because the coles brand was out of stock. I regret that choice. It is really thick and makes a mess on my windows and the flies don't even notice unless i actually drown them with it. Show details
Doesn’t kill, but tortures instead – Was up at 1 Am to my cat having a fight with something, didn’t know what it was until I saw a cockroach sitting on the floor next to my bed. I sprayed the roach with the spray and it half worked. What I mean is that although the spray didn’t kill the roach, it put the roach on its back, wrangling its legs for dear life. Furthermore, the bloody… Read more
roach is still alive as I’m writing this —I’ve sprayed it about 10 times— and it almost feels like I’m just torturing it.
Hit them with can – Sprayed flies directly twice and still flying around 30 minutes later, if you want to kill them hit them with can, rang help line gave them barcode and batch number and purchase place, result take it back for replacement or refund- sure I will waste more time and effort as a pensioner who gets groceries delivered because I don’t shop, disgraceful I don’t have money to waste.

Hit'Em With The Old PeaBue - Do They Mean The Actual Can ! – The effectiveness of this product appears to be poor on flies, insects and spiders. It just makes them 'wet and annoyed' despite the pictorial suggestion of targeted and printed claim of Fast Kill on the can. The product lists a 'dazzling' line up of active ingredients that I guess none of us really know what they are but we believe it will do… Read more
the job right with a reassuring 'lemon fresh' approach. The claim of 'fast kill' is also repeated as a method in the easy to understand directions for use. I have not been persuaded.
To the products credit which appears limited, the "Lemon Fresh" scent is subtle. The can spray cap is well designed, fit for purpose and easy to use with adult finger pressure required to operate.
There was a time when fly spray would just bring them down in flight and stop crawlies in their tracks. We Australians know that we have allot of nasty insects that can cause harm, more so with this product if insects are just 'wet and annoyed' loose inside our homes. I also believe it is somewhat cruel to allow a creature to suffer by the application of this product and its lengthy if any noticeable effectiveness.
In summary, my cat appears to have a better targeted focus and faster kill rate for fly elimination, although whilst entertaining not encouraged due to in house aerial aerobatics the cat will perform !.

See many people not happy with this product, but I am – I found an old can in my garage, probably been there years, and works well, knocks them out with 1 hit. I wonder if they have changed formal to less harmful ingredients. My can says Tetramethrin, phenothrin, piperonly butoxide, and bicycloheptene
Does the Job – I don’t understand what everyone’s problem with Pea Beu is! You spray the bug/spider/fly and the insect gets weak and you then squash said insect. The smell isn’t invasive and it is easy to use, doesn’t leave a lingering mist, just does what I require it to do. My number one go-to bug spray. Show details
Killed 2 flies with this today – I bought Pea Beu yesterday. Before reading the other reviews. After reading the reviews last nite, I thought for sure I've probably just wasted $4.25. To my surprise, Pea Beu worked for me today, & worked well. I cornered 2 flies in a bedroom. Both on the fly screens. I got a direct hit with each of them. Both fell to the floor immediately. I… Read more
think the problem is we all think we are chasing only one fly around the house, when in fact there are more than one. Gotta shake the can a lot first before spraying. I hope Pea Beu works good again the next time. I tried to spray flies while they were flying. It didn't work. But if they are cornered, either on windows or doors, I have half a chance of getting them good & proper.
I bought Pea Beu cos I hadn't done so for yrs, & always loved the tv ad - hit em high, hit em low, hit em with the old Pea Beu. :)
I used to use Raid. For yrs I put up with this useless stuff! I'll give what's left in that can to a rellie on Bribie Island. Raid might kill the flies there :) It sure as heck doesn't kill them where I live!
Negative reviews
Waste of money – Tried to kill flys with this stuff. Might have well sprayed water. Didnt kill the flys. The only thing that will kill anything with this product is if you hit it with the can. Dont waste your money
Odourless vs Non-odourless – Gosh - the reviews are brutal! I've gone back to using this spray because "other" brand with the same "Odourless" were not stunning the flies quick enough. Then I realised something, the ones that I had been using is NOT the "odourless" and they were more effective and quicker - even used it on/at a wasps nest and the occasional wasps that ended… Read more
inside our home! The non-odourless seems to be more effective, the ingredients seems to be deemed the same - but then again, I stand corrected by the product developers!
Useless energy drink for flies – Sprayed a fly in my kitchen, and it turned around to fly through the mist again. It seemed to give it a charge and it began flying faster around the kitchen. Twenty minutes later it's still flying quickly around the kitchen like I gave it a shot of steroids. Absolutely useless. Show details

Does not work and will not kill anything – I have wasted half a can trying to kill 3 mosquitoes and they're still flying around taunting me. I also tried to kill a fly with this, and it only made it stronger. I'm too afraid to test this out on a spider, as i'm worried it will gain super powers and take over the world, and I don't need that on my conscious. I basically feel very very ripped off with this purchase. Show details
Can’t kill flies with water – This product does not work. Totally useless and won’t even drown the flies. Single fly in the caravan spray for 5 seconds close up and he still airborne. Not happy. Show details
More luck killing bugs with arogard – First time used came out as liquid squirt not mist... occasionally comes out as mist, nice smell but utterly useless as a bug killer.. agree with all the one star reviews any others must be employed. Complete waste of money Show details

Product does not work ! – I used this product for the first time on 2 separate flies in different rooms with the door closed, I could not believe that after 5 to 6 sprays hitting them each time, the flies kept flying. All that happened was the flies got wet and I'm surprised it did not drown them. If Samuel Taylor or Reckitt Benckiser is reading this, please take this… Read more
product off the market or I'm going to consumer affairs or whatever other controlling body to prove in court that this product does not work

DISAPPOINTED – THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK ONE SINGLE BIT. The flies are still flying around like it was nothing I did everything as the can said. Definitely not effective insect control. Unfortunately I will not but this product again and won't be recommending this product to anyone. Very disappointing Show details
Flys enjoy this useless spray – Fair dink. This stuff is useless. 4 direct hits and a fly will still be living it's best life. I think flys like this stuff, the one I just sprayed came neck for some more Show details
Does not work at all!!!! – Absolute rubbish!!! May as well spray insects with water lol. Mozzies just keep flying after several direct "hits". Do not buy this!!! RAID one shot is waaaaay better. This product is cheap.....for a reason Show details
I am being mocked! – I am being mocked! Despite my efforts to control flies in my home with “PeaBeu”, the fly cohort is mocking me. My initial purchase of a pressurised can of PeaBeu was motivated by the “Fast Kill” and “Lemon Fresh – Light Lemon Fragrance” claims written on the can. Sadly, it appears the only way to fast kill a fly with PeaBeu would be to hit it with… Read more
the can, which is difficult to do as flies are fast and cunning. As to the Lemon Fresh claim, I don’t know where you get your lemons from, but in my experience, fresh lemons smell different to the PeaBeu spray and are not offensive to our olfactory organs. I live in a home which is fully fitted with insect screens which seem to ensure flies are kept indoors rather than out of the premises. My naïve notion that PeaBeu, air-conditioning and screens can control pesky flies indoors has been totally disproved. Last night I went to bed and was constantly irritated by flies’ nose diving and preventing my sleep. Eventually I “Hit’em with the Old PeaBeu” but the flies didn’t miss a beat. After several attempts the atmosphere in my bedroom became toxic, irritating my throat and launching a cough fit that lasted a long time. This morning I noticed two wobbly flies walking on the bedroom floor. I wonder whether the wobble was caused by PeaBeu or the night’s intensive flying mission. I appreciate that Australia is renowned for its flies, particularly in rural areas. Some years back I attended a wedding in Murray Bridge which was held on the shore of the River Murray. The flies were so numerous that a few seconds after filling a wine glass one would find at least a dozen critters doing breast stroke laps in the glass. But I live in an urban area which has very few flies, indeed, one can sit outdoors without being bothered. Thus, I am not expecting miracles. I don’t want a refund or compensation of any kind, but it would be exciting if you could help wipe off the smirk on the flies’ faces with a product that actually does what it says. It would give me the opportunity to mock them for a change.
Wasps laugh at me – I have sprayed the hell out of a couple of big yellow wasps which made nests on the balcony. They do not even seem to get annoyed by it. They ignore it completely. Useless junk, does it do anything other than smell bad? Show details
Fruit Fly bathed in this product only to multiply. . . any chance getting our money back. . ? ? ? – Poor product couldn’t kill a fruit fly. Customer service Not Connected. Not Good Woolworths I bought this from your stored. Any chance you can get the manufacturer to pick up the phone? Show details
DOES NOT WORK – Even on heavy spray onto fruit flies this product made nothing but a pool party for all of them. I tried spraying twice and finished the whole can in one go but still no effect. Not even a single fly died. Show details

Does Not Work – As per the Title. How can you produce a product and not test it ?. I sprayed a fly and it didn't move, so I sprayed it again and it didn't move. Show details
Useless! – What's going on with this product? Use to be very good, but now useless can't even kill a fly. RAID has the same ingredients but at 4 times the strength Show details
Does not work – Doesn’t work. I can only presume ‘fast kill’ means fast relative to a human lifetime. Small flies seem completely unperturbed. I wonder whether it’s because of new regulations upon insecticide formulations? Show details
Un-Aerosol Fly Spray – Had to buy PeaBeu because the usual brand (First Force) is out of stock. The slogan "Hit em with the old Pea Beu" is right in that you would need to hit the fly with the can to kill it. Aerosols are meant to be a fine spray that lingers in the air. Pea Beu is so coarse it is more like a garden spray. Just falls straight down to make a wet patch on… Read more
the ground, or worse, on your kitchen bench. If the fly is unlucky it will bump into a droplet and die from concussion.
Pathetic – So much liquid in the spray that it just covers any surface it hits. Couldn't stay in the air if it tried! I think the flies lapped it up. In the bin for me!! Never again. Can I give it zero stars please?? Show details
Pea Beu useless product – This is the second time recently i have bought Pea Beu, the stuff does not work. You spray it 4 or 5 times before the fly even twitches. Useless, even Coles fast knock down does a better job! Show details
Does not do anything! – I have sprayed flies several times each and they are still flying around. It seems to do absolutely nothing. I wish I could give it a 0. Wasted my money. Show details
Totally ineffective – The supermarket was out of the fly spray I usually get (IGA community co.) so, thought I'd give pea beu a go. It just squirts a wet, slimy mess over everything and the flies continue flying. Not impressed at all. Nearly double the price of the IGA brand too. Show details
Seriously - It Does Nothing – I've had one mozzie in here today - I've sprayed it three times, and it is still happily flying around. I had a fly in here two weeks ago - I made it it my mission to kill it with the Pea Beu - I sprayed it 3 or 4 times per day, for about 4 days - I think it eventually died (of old age). A terrible, ineffective product. Show details
Literally does nothing – This does nothing to insects whatsoever. The only way to kill insects with this product is to spray so much the bugs literally just drown in the liquid. Avoid this product at all costs. Show details
Poor performance – Second can I've bought has the same problem. It does not atomise. It sprays large foaming plumes of liquid out, covering any item it contacts. It also does not seem to deter flies as morteine does. This is why I gave it a poor rating. Also ringing the help line number 1800 022 046 was met with a continual American women telling me my call was important for nearly 5 minutes. Show details
It simply does not kill flies unless you drown them in it. Show details
Useless – This product does not kill anything. Waste of money. Won't be buying again.
