Pentax K200D

Good – The K200D is a great starting camera for people who want to have the ability of taking an instanteous photo to capture that perfect shot. The camera is easy to handle and has simple menu buttons for beginners. The camera provides both manual and automatic focus as well as shake reduction technology which is great in those times when you don't have a tripod. It has made a fantastic camera for our camera, providing us with the opportunity to take that instant photo of a child's expression without any delay like in standard digital cameras. Easy to use and handle. Is compatible with lenses from any model pentax and is a great starting step into the DSLR camera range. The beginning lens is quite limited in range.

Excellent – I have bought this camera for around $650 before heading on my December holidays. I was able to capture excellent images using this camera with sigma 18-50mm kit lens. The price was perfect for anyone who wishes to advance from P&S camera to a DSLR. Even though I only shoot in manual mode there are plenty of options for shooting for beginners.

The availability of lenses are extensive and the prices for the old used lenses are next to nothing compared to other camera models.

Handling is very much easier.

I would recommend Pentax K200D to anyone who look forward to transform from P&S to the next level of photography. Excellent image quality, Price, availability of lenses. Non so far.
