Receipe book failure – While the cooker is fine I would not trust any of the recepies in the accompanying book. It is full of mistakes and I do mean full. It was obviously not proof read or their proof reader needs the sack. I am no wizz when it comes to grammar and spelling but I could have done a better job. Show details

Timer only goes to 59mins - annoying – I have ne er used this for slow cooking or any other function except pressure cooking - it’s a really good pressure cooker but do annoying that you can’t make to timer go past 59 minutes for big cuts of meat so you have to stay home which is kinda pointless. If I had known this I would have bought a different brand. We have had this one for about 3 years and it’s been fine for what I wanted which was pressure cooking and sauteeing. Show details

So fast! So convenient! And very well made. (HD2137/72) – I have zero domestic skills and have relied on takeaway/fast food for most of my life. But I decided I needed to learn how to cook. Only I hate standing by the stove stirring things. I find cooking extremely boring. So I decided to try a Phillips all-in-one pressure cooker after reading 100s of reviews of all the products this one seemed to have… Read more

the highest satisfaction rates -- and from what I read, excellent customer service responses (so crucial today and something most big companies miss). So it works extremely well and is super quick (it's big, though, a lot bigger than I thought it would be). So I also read all the reviews and questions so I had a sense of the issues and safety features, e.g. I learned to use a wooden spoon to gently release the 'vent' when it was time to vent (relying on natural release method, then slow venting with the spoon). (Amy & Jackie videos are great for this search for [Amy & Jackie Instant Pot Natural Release vs Quick Release]. I also discovered amazing Youtube videos by 'Tried Tested and True' for some great recipes. So those 2 are my 'go tos' for learning how to use this thing (and how to cook, and seriously, I have ZERO skills in that regard). The only drawback is they say cooking pasta in the pressure cooker can lead to foam, depending on the brand -- that pasta foam can sometimes clog the valves(?), and pasta was one thing I did want to cook in it...still might try it but might also go to a different type, like lasagne. VERY PLEASED with this purchase. But the accessories added up in cost but I figured I had to have them - so ordered those from Amazon, things like a steamer basket and a silicone steamer thing with handles. That took a lot of research to figure out which things to buy so not sure if there's guidance on the accessories bit or not.

This is my second favorite cooking appliance – This is my second favorite cooking appliance (espresso machine is my no 1). I purchased this about 5 years ago and use it constantly for slow and pressure cooking. I use it about two to three times a week and often cooking meals back to back, I have literally flogged this cooker to death. Over the years I have been able to adjust my stove top /… Read more

oven slow cook dishes to the multi cooker with great success. I also developed a hybrid cooking style using a hybrid technique of pressure cooking then finishing off with two hours of low slow cooking for a more robust infused flavor whilst saving time. I was so impressed that I purchased one for my daughter (hers is still going strong after three years). I prefer the slow cook function whilst she has mastered the pressure cook function leading to many debates as to what mode is better. But alas as the say all good things come to an end, and as stated I flogged it to death. It sadly has cooked its last meal and gone kaput after cooking in excess of 800 meals over 5 years. It does not owe me a cent. I will definitely purchase again but unfortunately this model is no longer around. Rest In Peace my AIO cooker.

Big disappointment! – We bought the Philips All-in-one Cooker as a gift for my mother. After her having it for a few months she handed it back to me explaining that as she's on her own, she felt we would benefit from using it more. Although a tad disappointed, I accepted it & used it for the second time to prepare a slow cooked beef dish for dinner last night &… Read more

invited Mum to join us. The result was mediocre....with the meat pieces being very inconsistent texture-wise, despite being cut to similar sizes from the same piece of beef. I have had much better results slow cooking in my oven. My initial experience was creating a Lamb stew from the cookbook & sadly, we felt that result very mediocre also. Slow cooking should result in tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat pieces & this has been my experience prior to using the Philips All in One Cooker. Tonight, after reading the accompanying guide book further & watching the Utube, I tried the rice cooking feature, hoping that at least if it did that well, that would be a bonus. It took a long time & the results were very disappointing. It was inconsistently cooked, but mostly, quite undercooked & was even browned on the very bottom. An appliance that claims to cook perfect rice if you follow their diections, should be able to at least provide rice that's edible...this was a fail. I am an experienced & capable cook, having mastered many techniques & appliances over the years however this appliance so far has not been an asset to own. I will persevere & try a few other settings including the other pressure cooking features. I have used a stove top pressure cooker for over 20 years so I am familiar with the results of this technique. I hope it won't be another disappointment. It defeats the purpose of using this appliance if the results achieved aren't up to a standard achieved without it. It's a sizable appliance which I feel is taking up unnecessary space in my butlers pantry unless it performs. In addition, as ingredients are costly, I want the technique or appliance I use to help them shine & bring out the best in texture & flavour. It turns out, my Mum passed it on to us as it didn't meet her expectations either. I was hoping to demonstrate to her that it could do all it was hyped up to do.....but so far, I'm only proving her right. I really wanted this product to be successful for my Mum to use & feel very disappointed that we bought her what, so far, seems like a dud.

So useful! – Have had my multi-cooker since May 2018 and the longer I have it, the more I'm using it. I love the ability to slow cook or to pressure cook. I love that you can sear your food - no more grey slow cooked stews! Right now I am reheating some chilli, that cooked for 12 hrs on low - smells amazing! I have found that you can use recipes online that… Read more

are for what the Americans call an Instant Pot. The Instant Pot is almost identical to the Philips All-in-One. There are so many recipes on Pinterest and other recipe websites like Yummly. One small issue is that the lid does tend to retain smells, but if you give the seal a soak in warm water it fixes that problem. There are also lots of tips and hacks to find on Pinterest to help with these issues. Some of the recipes I have made that have been really tasty are, Taco Lasagne, Instant Pot Creamy Chicken Soup (https://www.eatwell101.com/instant-pot-creamy-chicken-soup-recipe) - this was so tasty, (although you might want to go easy on the cayenne - I used half what was recommended and it was quite spicy) and Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo (https://www.thereciperebel.com/instant-pot-chicken-alfredo-pasta-pressure-cooker-pasta/) - this one had my husband surprised that I had made it from scratch and hadn't used a jar! I also make a delicious shredded beef for tacos with the pressure cooking function, and shredded chicken using the slow cooking function. It is my most used appliance - it's great for summer as it doesn't heat up the kitchen! Totally recommend this appliance for anybody who wants to spend less time in the kitchen!

and easy to use multi cooker. I love to be able to brown meat and brown onions all in one pot before adding other ingredients. Risotto is great. I cook barley risotto as well. I have had 2 other brands which did not last with all the use. I love the inner pot as it does not scratch if used correctly. I have recommended it to a friend who also uses hers a great deal. I would be happy to recommend Phillips multifunction cooker to anyone. I also find it very safe to use.

Love it, no problems – Upgraded from an $88 pressure cooker to this one and am very happy. Includes a recipe book that ACTUALLY produces meals like the pic, for real. Only complaint I have is that I want to buy 1 for my mum but can't find another one at the same price I paid ($174). Harvey Norman must have been crazy that day! C'mon Phillips, hook me up with another at the same price. Show details

The cooker retains smells in spite of the usual cleaning recommendations – I have tried to remove the smells by soaking in soapy water and even using vinegar with bicarbonate soda. But nothing helps. As a consequence, I can use the multicooker for only one type of food - it is a "single" food cooker now :( Show details

VERY disappointed – I bought this slow/pressure cooker on June 25th, 2018 and I've only used it maybe 2-3 times. The last time I used it on slow cook low, it literally boiled everything. Takes a long time to build up preassure – Pressure cooking or any selected mode that requires pressure is a big fail. Master of none – While this cooker cooks soup and other liquid food very well and fast. Normal rice doesn't seems to do well here. I have tried many different water level for cooking rice. contact with the pot inside. Then you get very soft sticky rice.

I, along with many I know who are from the same ethnic like their rice to be firm and falls off each other easily. Adding water to prevent it from pre-burn just to get a sticky soft rice seems underwhelming.

I am sure risotto would work fine.

I have cooked Japanese rice too. And because Japanese rice needs to be soft and sticky, I added enough water for that purpose. I still get preburn bits but not as much.

My husband have been cooking lots of liquid food in it such as soup, porridge, gravy etc. And all liquid food had turned out well. Things to note though. As with most pressure cooker. With the lack of fire heat it seems many food just lack an x Factor in taste. But of you want quick food that's what you get. Not the fault of this particular brand whatsoever.

The built quality seems to be on the softer side.

We didn't drop or have any blunt impact on the cooker. However, my husband once tried to squeeze it into a drawer. The width is just nice if you put it in an angle. But with a wrong angle slide in admittedly mistake on our part. This little mistake caused a big dent in to the cooker from the side.

From then on the pressure function haven't been working well and we can only use it to cook rice which in itself is really not great in the first place.
