Philips DC320/98

not perfect, but gr8 combo with the iPhone - i have Three! Home, Office & Weekend place! – Replacement to the earlier model which had some software glitches, but this is still not perfect, pity! cant believe that after all these years of creating alarm clocks, philips can still cock up what could have been a perfect combo. The display is pathetic, too bright at night and almost impossible to read when lying in bed with your head slightly below the display. so at night you have to turn the display off, then in the morning you cannot turn the display back on because the button is now the snooze button!
What happened to the auto repeat alarm? it cannot be left to switch itself off after 60mins and reset for the next day, you need to turn it off everday, and if you are going away remeber to cancell the alarm otherwise it plays until you return.
Come on Philips, what's with your R&D department?? Having had your alarms for the best part of 30 yesrs which have all worked well, now we have lost the plot??
i wonder if anybody actually tested/used the unit before relaesing it! gr8 sound, convenient ipod charging/listening, dual alarms and of course the remote control. rediculous display, not repeat alarm, the snooze button should not control the display brightness.
Hey Tony, thank you for the feedback! This is really helpful and we’ll forward it to our developing team for their future reference. While the product wasn’t completely up to par with your expectation we’re glad to hear that you still found a great way of using the device to your liking and are happy to hear that you’re enjoying the sound quality besides some the other features you mentioned.
Kind regards, The Philips Australia Team

Further to my original comments! After hitting the snooze button, you can then adjust the brightness of the display by hitting the snooze button once or twice. I now use mine with a Sansui Bluetooth receiver, making it compatible the new iPhones/Pads//Pods and any other device that can transmit audio via Bluetooth. and still great sound for such a small unit. Over and Out!
