Best vacuum cleaner I have used – I bought the Piranha YLC 6206-200 vacuum almost 6 years ago from Kmart. At 2400watts its more powerful than most other vacuum cleaners in the market. the suction does drop but with a clean up taking under 10mnts its back in business. However the downside is overshadowed by the benefits it has. I will definitely buy another one and whole heartedly would recommend these Piranha model to anyone.

Worst cleaner ever – The hose comes out all the time. The power cord is too short. It falls over continuously. Hard to push as well. You have to stoop to use it. What a waste of money. I wish I had of returned it for a refund. I have this lovely new carpet but now I can’t vacuum it  Show details

Great vacuum cleaner can’t complain – Never had an issues with it cleans fine only thing I hate is it turns off occasionally if full or over heated and I feel like that’s so annoying as I have too then wait about and hour to the vacuum again. Really great value for money – Purchased this product from Big W, really happy with the suction and power of vacuum. It is very light to maneuver around house, has 2 option for tiles or carpet which are easily accessible on head of vacuum. I use this vacuum for my whole house, floors and tiles and isn't too noisy. effort when vacuuming carpet. I never quiet get a good job done. Bits of hair and crumbs all present. Again, not a bad product. You just get what you pay for.

Value for money – Pretty good for its fairly low price. Works well on both hard floors and carpets. This is a very light machine and the filter traps more fine dust than my last unit. I have lots of dog hair and unit seems very good at picking most of it up

The noise level is on a par with all previous 2400w machines and the attachments very similar.

I haven't had a better machine and at the price, $69,seems to leave the $49 dollar kmart cheapo for dead. my only gripe is the extention pipe is pretty short i found myself hunched over .

Would recommend to anyone after value

last unit. I have red dust that infiltrates my carpets and no amount of vacuuming can get it all out - even after a steam clean I ran over my carpet once it was dry with this little battler and it still sucked up an enormous amount of red dust.

The noise level is on a par with all previous 2400w machines and the attachments very similar.

I had a similar Piranha before that lasted for years and did not hesitate to buy a Piranha replacement when it died. NEVER AGAIN!

i will try to keep the list as short as possible.

1)NO SUCTION AT ALL-it struggles to clean the floor tiles-and has no hope cleaning the lounge room rug-even after being freshly emptied 2) the telescopic handle is made for midgets- i'm short but i have to bend to use it and have a sore back after each use 3)the floor tool only has one small useless row of carpet bristles underneath, and the other bits underneath are made from hard plastic or rubbery stuff with a few bumps on it which forbids the floor tool from actually grabbing onto anything and lifting it off the carpet or rug 4) the cord is shorter than the Sky-or any other vacuum i've ever had so it can't reach the areas of the house the others have without changing power points a few times 5) the filter is difficult to get back together and I'm not actually sure the filter does anything to be honest 6) the attachments are all on one piece instead of separate so you just flip the ends over and it's so small and flimsy it's a waste of time 7) falling apart after just 1 month of use-a plastic piece has fallen off the telescopic handle already so I can't put it or down-but it's so short it actually still fits inside my linen cupboard when fully extended 8) terrible customer service-when I called the company to very nicely let them know what I thought of this vacuum after loving the Sky- I got a foreign lady on the other end who didn't quite know what to say and laughed alot when I told her I was unhappy. She finally agreed that it was cheaply made and best used for a 1 bedroom unit. She told me it was under a 1yr warranty and i could have it replaced with a new Battler if I took it back to the store- NO THANKS! I will chuck it in the rubbish bin so i never have to see it again.

Never again – I couldn't rate this 2400 wt vacuum if I tried. Over heating, Back flys off constantly. Can't remove foot attachment. No suction. It must be the worst thing I have ever purchased. to have the back fly off over and over. Over heating. Can't remove foot end. Tips over easily and has no suction after about my 3d vacuum. Being my elderly mothers carer I can't afford a new vacuum so it takes me over 2 hrs just to try to vacuum bedroom carpets.

Honestly the worst thing I have ever bought.

filter – The suction is okay but the filter is a problem. Hard to clean and when washed smells dreadful when vacuuming again. Expensive to replace the filter as you have to pay for postage as well. Fitting the filter with the clip is not easy either and often comes off again when vacuuming. I guess for the price you can't expect too much.

Cheaply made – The suction is actually good. The fittings are cheap, and poorly fitting which means by the time you put on the sweeper end, suction is near non excistant. Blocks easily, and the filter is hard to clean. Overall, spend the extra $30 odd and go to Godfrey's and get a $99 vacuum cleaner.

Filter destroyed easily – Suction is great but vacuum didn't last long till the filter started to smell bad and the vacuum stopped working in only a matter of months. Filter is damaged easily, and not covered by warranty. It costs $25 to replace the filter. Don't bother, pay more for a better vacuum

Major design flaw – The vacuum cleaner has plenty of suction power but the clip securing the dust cannister (and handle) is woefully inadequate. Mine has broken just by picking up the cleaner. Once it snaps the vacuum is rendered useless. I too noticed that the cord retraction doesn't function very effectively. I will not be buying another Piranha product.

Great value – I got it for 69 bucks from big w. The sucking is strong. I'm quite satisfied with the result. Cannot complain. Good value for the price. If you have a tight budget, this is a good choice. I am using it for over a month, still functioning which is great.

Piranah battler vacume cleaner stinks – II have a piranha vacume cleaner I always clean the filter but the cleaner has a bad smell to it when motor is running , where can I get a new filter from???????

Great value for the price – Have owned this vacuum cleaner for three months... Good for getting pet hair out of rugs - suction is surprisingly powerful for such a small unit. The cleaning wand is adjustable but I find it's still too short and if I don't remember to keep a straight back while vacuuming, I end up with back-ache. I'm 167cm tall, so I don't know how taller people would manage.

A great choice and good for the budget – We bought this vacuum almost 2 years ago and we are still very satisfied. We live in a carpeted 3 bedroom town house and lounge room/dining room, the kitchen and toilets have tiled floors and we never had a problem using it on both surfaces. Filters need to cleaned at least twice when used. To maximise the filtration of the filter, we clean weekly under warm tap water with a little bit of laundry soap and disinfectant and air dry.

Since, there is instruction on the unit about "If suction is low then check and clean the filters or replace them." We have ordered 2 extra filters to swap around. http://hegroup.com.au/index.php/spare-parts.html

We also use the vacuum to clean the car interior. It's inexpensive and very reliable. The Piranha Battler - HEPA Filter needs to be replaced 1-2 times a year (its very cheap though) so we plan to order 2 filters every year until it dies on us. The extension tube is a bit shorter than what we would wanted (even thought I'm 149 cm tall) but we managed to use our older/broken vacuum's extension and attach it to the Piranha Battler extension to make it longer.

Really noisy, and, does not seems as powerful as 2400W claimed – Bought this as a spare vacuum apart from navibot we've got for flat floors. A little regret for not spending a little bit more. This model is far too noisy, and the suction is not really really high, 2400w? well, can't feel it. If it fails, will spend a little bit more for better brands. Great but overheating – I've had this vacuum cleaner for 10 months. I have alway been very impressed with the suction power and the overall product until recently. It seems to be getting rather hot and turning off, like it's over heating. Any suggestions of what may be causing it apart from the fact we're in the middle of a heat wave? Best ever had – Purchased this at Big W for 65 dollars on special. Have not had one problem the suction is perfect lifts the carpet up even after 9 months with weekly vacuuming. frustrating – terrible , I have put up with this vacuum for a year, it flips over on corners, loses suction when bag only has a small amount of dirt and need to empty to get any suction ,cord retraction slow to a dribble half way through , a total waste of money. nothing everything

pirahana 2400w – this is just a waste of money. It has no suction. I had hoped that it would improve but this didf not happen. I will have to put it down to experience and throw it in the bin. Dont Bother, Loss of suction, cord doesnt retract – I have only had vacuum for 5 weeks. Already suction is down by about 30% You can hear air sucking in through the hose. Electric cord no longer retracts. Was great at first, but you can tell it's a cheap product. I wouldnt reccomend this product. Maybe time for a better brand. Cheap Poorly made. Hose leaks at joins. Cord doesnt retract. Loss of suction by 30%
