Pool Ranger ST

As good as the top brands at half the price – I've had one of these for about 6 years and have only ever replaced the rubber skirt twice ! It has one moving part, not a diaphragm that breaks like some of the other brands. It does get stuck occasionally on the steps of my kidney shaped pool, but so did my other well known expensive brand cleaner.

Ok – Almost exactly same opinion as NO GOOD, also have a jelly bean shaped pool, two sets of stairs. Cleaner gets stuck at both sets and constantly runs around the edge. I suspect it may not be heavy enough. It can't make it to the bottom of the deep end and out again without floating. Have also followed all trouble shooting instructions with no success. Most likely a good cleaner. However it cannot cope with steep drop offs to the deep end, or obstacles in its path.

No good – I purchases on of these last week. I am less than impressed. We have a jelly bean shaped pool with 2 sets of stairs.The instructions were dodgy and the fittings don't seem to fit, however when plugged into the suction it all held together ok. Running it 6 hours a day since we got it and the middle of the pool is still dirty. It seems to like to just go around and around the outer edges and gets stuck at every set of stairs and the light sockets. I have done all the 'trouble shooting' and adjusted the length of the hose, suction etc with no resolution. Maybe ok for an oval pool or square but just can't cope with ours. It was VERY cheap compared to all the other cleaners and I suspected I was making a mistake. Looks like I was right.

Continuously gets stuck around stairs and lights. Does not clean the middle.

Good – Very happy with it. I needed to buy extra hose lenghts to cover my 12 metres peddle crete pool. I could have bought it for $299 delivered via internet. Easy to set up, quite, no diaphram. None at this stage.
