Highly recommended – So much more affordable than other products and still has the same effect. Have been using it for 16 years. Just a pity you can't buy it anymore. Apparently the company that makes it can no longer obtain the ingredients required to provide the product. Hopefully this will change; fingers crossed Cheap and effective

Excellent – Cant be without proban in our tick infested area, nothing else works as well, it would be good to get a "proban injection" once a year for pets? Tip for getting your dogs to eat the tablets, sprinkle sasha's blend over them. Thumbs up for a product that actually works against paralysist ticks. Having to give my dogs tablets every second day.

Excellent, Worth it! – I live in Florida where fleas are rampant. I have one dog in particular that seems to attack tons of fleas. I have tried every single RX topical and nothing worked. I finally decided to try Proban and it worked within a few days. I use EXACTLY as directed and totally believe in this product. There is nothing worse than fleas and believe me this product does work BUT you must follow the directions and be consistent in giving it to your pet and giving one tablet for EVERY 22 lbs. The only negative is that I find that my dog now smells a little bit. Probably because the medicine is systematically working and working it's way out to the skin. That's the only thing somewhat bad I can say. I only use during the summer. My dog does not get fleas or ticks. I also have a friend that used this on his dog for D-Mange and he, too, says it works great and better than Promeris or Ivermectin (topical). This product is worth it and so reasonably priced. It works for more than one doggie problem.. so what else can you ask for? Just wonderful! All products have side effects so don't think this is any worse than what you are already using. Give it a try! Inexpensive, Reliable Absolutely nothing!

Lol_el.Yeah I use this product on both my cats and dog actually. It works beautifully on fleas. Ah but what you may not realize is that it repels ticks also. You may find a tick on your animal but you shouldn't find one that has latched on to do any harm to your pet. As it's been said and I will reiterate this again, please adhere to the use instructions that come with the tablets and your pet will be fine. If you try to cut corners by not giving the right dose to save money then you may as well throw the medicine away. Keep your pets happy by using Proban. Lori.

Recommended by my vet for ticks on my cat. Excellent product which kept him tick free .. much better than the alternative which is 26 sprays of Frontline....(try holding your cat down for that) and it's much, much more expensive. I hope they source the ingredients if that is the reason they stopped producing it.

Are you cats sitting around lately? Still eating but maybe sitting up when they should be sleeping? Or sleeping to try & put pain out of their mind, with a worried, strained look to their face, meowing, like as pre-occupied with something? I think Proban gave my cats Pancreatitis just after one dose. Organophosphates are one of the causes of Pancreatitis in Cats/Dogs. It's a painful, cruel disease where the digestive enzymes rot their digestive organs & brain & everything. Now I'm giving them Slippery Elm pwdr. & trying to buy Digestive Enzymes for them.

Bad – Unfortunately I won't be able to use this product due to the side effects mentioned above. Perhaps my cat is just overly sensitive to its ingredients. Works well - got rid of fleas on my cat within hours BEWARE SIDE EFFECTS! The packaging and internal leaflet makes no mention of side effects (in Australia at least) and I had to do an internet search to find them out. My cat suffered extreme excess salivation as a result of this product, watery saliva was literally pouring from his mouth for 2 days. Other more worrying neurological side effects weren't apparent but are also listed as possible. I would definitely recommend doing some research and keeping a close eye on your pet after administering it.
