When we started having some issues with our laminate flooring, we were eventually able to contact Quick-Step who were very efficient and eager to help us fix our floor which was under warranty. The new flooring is perfect with none of the defects that our old flooring had and we absolutely love it. Show details · 1
Euro pricing for cheap quality – 75sqm recommended by the flooring company, actually talked me down from engineered timber. Total was approx $7k installed. Has been nothing but a disappointment since day 1. Had flooring company back to replace 4 faulty boards, however since replacement the floor now moves there, integrity has been compromised. expect the laminate to chip or crack. We installed the impressive ultra, supposedly suitable for high traffic and kitchen areas. Its not. The flooring company said this would be hard wearing, and recommended because of having a toddler. Ironically the toddler has caused no damage, but don't dare drop a spoon from the dishwasher.
In all honesty if your flooring is on a budget buy the cheapest laminate you can source, it'll probably be the same quality as this alleged European developed crap. Literally paid a Euro premium for Aliexpress quality. Don't make the same mistake.
14 months in and I'm regretting listening to a "flooring expert". If anyone actually recommends this, just leave their showroom.

Quick-Step, and if it possible, can, get it from Pro-Flooring at Unina NSW. In actual fact, we drove over 100 km, to Pro-Flooring, and we were so glad we did, these guys huntered down the last 15 boxes of Gloss Blackbutt manufactured timber flooring, AUSTRALIA WIDE, (So we can match some other exsisting flooring), and 'to-top-it-off', we saved a fortune! These guys, I'm sure, will be happy to introduce Floorlogix, to you for a professional laying job. Again, with this team of experience and friendly people, and with the immaculate products from Quick-Step: YOU CAN'T GO WRONG!
The best flooring choice you could make – I have been installing timber and laminate flooring for 40+ years and across all brands and types in up market homes. I have found QuickStep superior in board connection, surface protection and presentation. It is not dent proof and no natural flooring will be. Boards are not even coloured because trees don't grow to order and each floor is unique… Read more · 1
in texture and colour even their laminates. If you want an even coloured floor buy a plastic (vinyl) one not a timber or true to nature laminate one. I am surprised at some of the reviews when they clearly point to poor installation of the flooring not product failure and scratching and denting can happen even if you used Stainless steel for flooring as its a care and maintenance issue. If you use a QuickStep trained master installer then you will avoid cowboy installations and that is why QuickStep and no other company have a training academy to lift the quality of us installers so customers know who to use.

Order through middle-mans and delivery time are awful – Quickstep doesn't work directly with customers, except for sending samples, which I rate quite highly. However, the actual purchasing process goes through various retailers, who, from my experience, act as middlemen without holding stock and much information (price variation was up to 200% just for supply + all of them have to call to quickstep to… Read more · 1

Initially, the retailer informed me that I would need to wait until November 1st for my order to arrive. Meanwhile, Quickstep indicated that they were expecting a delivery in a few weeks (as retailer explained the difference is because most likely everything on current shipment already sold and while there's chance for earlier delivery they play safe with due dates). I agreed to wait the 4 weeks (until November 1st), hoping for an earlier delivery.
Yesterday (October 10th), I received a call from the retailer saying my order would be ready for pickup today (October 11th). I prepared a room by removing furniture and carpet, rented a vehicle to collect the order, but when I checked to confirm, to my surprise—and apparently to the sales manager's as well—the order wasn't ready. Now, they are saying the delivery won't happen until November 18th.

Contempt for customers – I did half my house with pulse hybrid flooring, then went to order the flooring for the other half only to be told that (despite it showing as current product) it was a discontinued product. Marked Discoloration – We installed timber Quick STep floor boards (Spotted gum) 3 and a half years ago. time approached your office (I believe), to informe me that, the whole floor has gone darker over the years (3 years???) and that the colour under the mat was the original colour. Unbelievable!!! They did not offer any solution, just to remove the mat. I mentioned that I have 2 unopened boxes of the flooring, this means that if I open the box they will have changed colour to a lighter shade? Can someone make some sense of this and give a call ASAP? My next step will be to go to Service NSW to put a formal complain through NSW Fair Trading.

Disappointed – We just finished the installation of a Quick-Step timber floor – about 120sqm - Natural Oak Extra Matt. First we intended to buy the Amato range, however, but when comparing the sample boards and pictures, we decided for Faro as this option showed much less knots and only moderate grain pattern. We were aware of the fact that a natural product… Read more
might have colour variations and not every plank would look the same, however, what we found when opening the packages was very disappointing.
The colour of the planks and the grain structure was quite different. Of course it is always a subjective judgement but I wouldn't classify these differences as "mild natural variation of colour and grain structure" as Quick-Step is describing such variations in some replies to reviews.
Even more disappointing is, however, the fact that more than half of the planks showed a knot hole filled with resin. Surely this cannot be categorised as "natural variation". This is an artificial, manual intervention. We would not have bought this floor, had we known about these resin filled knot holes. They are not visible on the sample boards or any picture of their website.
We contacted Quick-Step and to their credit, they intended to send us 2 extra packs of floorboards. This would have helped to compensate for some of the boards with large resin spots. Unfortunately, it appeared that there was no supply available in Australia and we could not delay the installation any further. We ended up with some ugly spots in the last rooms.
We expected a high quality product and accordingly paid a high price. The outcome was extremely disappointing and we very much regret this decision. We do not recommend this product.

Deeply Disappointed with Quick-Step Flooring Quality and After-Sales Service – I am thoroughly disappointed with the quality of Quick-Step flooring and the subsequent after-sales service. Fantastic flooring, 16 years old – We laid Quick-Step Eligna flooring in our kid's rooms, guest room and study 16 years ago. Disappointed - some of the supplied material not what was advertised – I have just had Quick-Step palazzo pure oak matt flooring installed - a total of 70sq m. full boxes of these boards amongst the 28 boxes purchased. Unfortunately they had to be used to finish the job and I was told that as they had been glued they could not be removed and replaced. I wanted the look that was shown, online, in the brochure and the sample boards for the Quick-Step palazzo pure oak matt. What I have is far from that look in many places and I would not have purchased them if I had known that these boards we included in Quick-Step’s palazzo pure oak matt. 4/5 makes a really good floor... some issues to think about – Underfloor needs to be REALLY flat... any ups downs will affect the top layer... really easy to fit the whole boards but tricky around door ways for instance... Some shoes quite noisy on it ... soft shoes or socks ok... Need to plan fitting sequence carefully one end of house to other, best to start at one end Also seasonally boards expand and contract, some joints don't slide well. Overall very happy with it.. treatment! It gets banged with toys, driven on with ride-on cars, has the pets running around, gets heavy things dropped on it, and it's completely fine. No scratches, dents, nothing! I mop it using the Quick Step cleaning product mixed with water (per the directions) and it looks perfect. In our old house we had some other kind of wooden floor, and I don't know what it was, but it was so hard to clean and always looked smeary. This laminate floor looks super clean after I mop it and it doens't show the dirt. I only mop once a week. Highly recommend this product!!!

EDIT - IMAGES: 1. Images of the dirt collected in the grooves. The dirt on wipes are AFTER I have mopped. If I apply pressure and manually clean floor by hand, only then the dirt is removed. Regular mopping leaves this trapped dirt! This is why it so hard to keep it actually clean and hygienic. The floor appears to be clean but isn't, the dirt is is trapped unless you manually get on hands and knees and apply pressure to clean grooves. 2. Ghosting/ white stains images.

Quickstep Eligna Looks great but is ridiculously loud to walk on – We had Quickstep Eligna Laminate installed in our bedrooms about 6 months ago. They don't creak or snap at all but every shuffle and step comes through so loudly.… Read more
If you are barefoot they will stick to the laminate and you can hear very clearly everytime your feet "unstick" with each step. Even dropping a phone charger cable on the floor emanates a huge racket.
I have done some small scale testing assembling a few square meters on 10mm rubber and foam and the result is still the same. Loud as anything! The boards appear much lighter in weight than others which may be the cause.
We have different brand laminate in our house that does not have this issue. We really regret installing Quickstep as there is so many options for $40/m2 that would not leave our ears hurting.

Good value for money. Looks OK, good surface properties – It doesn't look as good as a timber floor for sure, but I didn't pay for a timber floor either. you walk on it with shoes (the 'tap' sound is not like plastic, closer to timber) and does not squeak. I have had it for two years now and only damaged a small spot because I dropped a heavy pot on it. The damage was small so I used some clear resin to fill it just to protect it from water. Now I don't even know where it was. I guess if you scratched the surface you should fix it or it might get water damage. I took a water resistant one but still I do not let water stay on it, if I spill some I clean it quickly since nothing is really 'water proof'. Actually, close to the kitchen sink I noticed ends of a couple of planks coming up a little since it was always wet there. So I dropped a floor mat there to prevent water damage, no more deformation ever since. Anyhow, If you spill some water and dry it ASAP it's gonna be OK. I have moved furniture and heavy displays on it, even slid my fridge a couple of times and saw no scratches, the surface resistance is good. Obviously, if you give it a good try by moving heavy items with sharp edges under them, you can scratch it for sure. Well, if you insist! Cleaning is easy, I normally just vacuum and sometimes use floor wipes. I can't tell if using a mop is OK because I haven't used one, these wipes are not that expensive and are way easier to use than a mop. For me, the real reason behind choosing a laminate flooring was the fact that our house was old, and the floor was covered with extremely ugly tiles. We removed the tiles but the timber substrate was not flat enough for a timber floor. Laminate is a better option in this situation since it conforms to the existing floor (that was what a builder told me, you should double check for yourself). Happy with my decision, although missus wants a timber floor. I wanted that too, but it's the next best thing.
Very disappointing – We had colonial quick step laminate installed in our new house a bit over five years ago. using the cleaning products recommended by the supplier. It now looks so worn and untidy. We had a rep come to look at our floors about two and a half years ago who said he could understand why we were disappointed. we then didn’t hear anything back from them. We then contacted the manufacturers about 12 months ago who told us the damaged boards could not be replaced as the colour is discontinued. They didn’t offer any other alternatives. The warranty now means nothing. I have since been in touch with the company again and they offered a wax repair kit which arrived in the mail today and will not do a lot to repair the chips and scratches that have developed over the past 5 years. I’m still puzzled as to why this wasn’t offered when we first asked for advice with the wear of the floor. It has unfortunately been a really disappointing and expensive experience.

and On-loaded the faulty stock and replacement stock at my time and physical cost, they are Heavy and Long packs. - This is a pic of my daughter who 3 weeks after the first faulty stock was delivered sits in her room, with no floor, wondering why.... all the while why we pay rent elsewhere as we cant move into our home all due to Premium Flooring/ Quick Step's failure to provide what they market as their Premium Flooring product, with the price to match! - Our Installers who we purchased the Premium Flooring through are great, and TWICE they have arrived to prep our floors to lay the planks and they have STOPED, recommending that we DONT lay faulty boards, as disappointing as the experience is, we thank them dearly that they are honest enough to not proceed with Premium Flooring and Quick Step faulty boards. - Almost 4 weeks past, and No Manager has been out to visit our home where the 2nd batch of faulty goods are held. No genuine apology, NO Compensation offer for 4 weeks of delay, not even an offer of some small gift to say, "we are sorry you had this experience", No explanation as to why this has happened.....just the option to get our money back and start again with another product or to try a slightly different Premium Floorings colour. Do I feel like used? Yes I do. And I still dont have floors in my home, and my kids still dont have a home and are 4 weeks living out of a suitcase. We need to move into our home as we cant keep paying Rent and a Mortgage Repayment and we are now captive to Premium Floorings as our installers can only do this week, otherwise we need to wait another 3 weeks to get other floors installed with a new product.
Again, I ask, What would you do? What do you Expect? What is a Fair and Reasonable response?
So after much frustration I opted for a Full Refund. The refund was processed after about a week, however was approx. $1600- short!!! The Retailer absorbed this and refunded me the full amount. He then had to fight and was apparently treated with disrespect on all of his follow ups about the refund before they finally refunded him the outstanding amount. To make matters worse, for the second stock they advised they had checked it, so we started to cut the skirting around the doors to fit the height of the boards. Due to this whole experience understandably we decided to move away from Engineered to Hybrid. This meant ALL of our doors had to have the Skirting/Architraves replaced to meet only a 7mil height, had the second batch been checked as promised, we would not have had to incur that extensive cost.
Overall it has cost us Thousands in $$ and lost hours and over a month in lost time, so my recommendation is give Premium / Quick Step Flooring a WIDE BERTH and choose a company that Cares, That Delivers and that will treat you with respect when THEY have done the wrong thing.
