Excellent – I have very thick hair and it worked well for me. Quick and easy to straighten hair. Also, I used it for say 7/8 years and it just packed up. I have been to 3 stores and can't find one to replace it. I bought mine at David Jones.
Unbelieveable – This straightener lasted me 8 years!!! Its only just broken, I don't think I'll ever find one like it :( I love the wide plates, its the absolute best. So trusty and sturdy, did the best job at straightening! RIP 2005-2013 I have no idea how to even begin looking for one to match it! Everything Nothing
Well designed and long lasting, Love it! – I bought this straightener from a Kmart in 2005 or 2006 and it lasted me 6 years! I dont know about anyone else but for a hair straightener that cost less than $50 to last 6 years is amazing! I also love how the shape and size was designed (the plates were big which is useful for people with long and thick hair). It was able to heat up well and… Read more
straighten my hair perfectly! I have thick long hair and it was able to do the job! I really wish that some stores still sold this model since it was long lasting and of good quality as well as cheap (unlike the ghd straighteners which cost over $100). If only the models available in stores today of hair straighteners were designed with big wide plates like this model. This product was fantastic and I would reccomend it to anyone! To this day I have 2 Remington hair straighteners and it is the only brand I trust!
Perfect – I've owned 2 of these. My first one lasted me for 5 years and my 2nd one is still going strong. It makes my hair wonderfully straight and is quick and easy. I too would have liked a safety off switch because I often get paranoid I've left it on (even if I haven't) and have to turn around and come home to check. It does get a little hot after… Read more
5 minutes or so. Not enough to burn you when you use it, but enough that you can feel it's hot. Inexpensive, reliable, works well. It gets a little hot. No safety off switch.
OK – I would recommend this to someone who has fine hair, not too long hair, fairly straight hair and just needs to tame flyaway's. It would also be a good value for money product for someone who would only straighten their hair occasionally. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with thick/course hair as it seems to take too long to do, unless it was an… Read more
occasional thing. It has a lock on the handle for when it's in the closed position, but this takes to much fiddling around to use. Perhaps I've been spoilt in the past using a salon quality straightener! I purchased this straightener becauser the one I've been using (Muster) for over 6 years spontainiously combusted! I liked it for the wide plates and the high temperature. It seems to give a nice curl/kick at the ends. It has a swivel cord so it's not getting kinked up, and makes for easier storage. I find I have to run it through each section of hair a couple of times to get results. It doesn't seem to leave my hair with a shine. I also liked to use the comb's on my previous straightner and as I have long, thick hair, I find hair comes out from between the plates.
Excellent – I have purchased 4 hair straighteners over the past 10 years and by far this is the best. I have very thick long hair and this straightener with it's wide plates takes only 10 - 15 mins to do (with other straighteners it has taken me over an hour). I have had this one now for about 3 years and has been dropped numerous times on the tiled bathroom… Read more
floor by accident and is still going strong. It leaves my hair super sleek and shiny which I love. I have a fringe and its not too big and awkward to use on small areas like a fringe also. The only critisism I have of this product is that I wish it had a auto off switch, for piece of mind in case I forget to switch it off (I have gotten halfway to work on many occasions and had to turn around and come home to turn it off - but that is operator error and no fault of this great product!) Quick heat up and very smooth finish Takes quite a while to cool down
Good – I have had this for about four years now. it heats up quite quickly and does a great job. i have long and very thick hair which is why i chose a wider straightener (even though my hairdresser told me to get a thinner one), and have found that this does a great job, but because of its width i have had to buy a mini straightener for my fringe. This… Read more
is a great product and costs less than $65 bucks! heats up fast, good value for money, does the job! doesn't do a good job on a short fringe
Excellent – I love this hair straightener as it gives my thick wavy long hair brilliant results and only takes 10 minutes to straighten my whole head and it also lasts until my hair gets wet! Brilliant and highly recommended! Very easy to use and set up, has a very long power cord which is useful as well as the way the cord is connected by a swivel for ease… Read more
of use, it heats up very quickly, makes my hair really shiny, doesn't burn my hair at all, I also love how you can change the level of heat to suit thick or thin hair, it is also inexpensive to buy and lasts a long time I wish it cooled down as fast as it heats up!!
Excellent – i have friends who use their straightens just as often as i do, and they get split ends and dry hair quickly, so they have to go to the hairdressers alot to get their hair trimmed, but mine stays looking healthy and strong, so i would definately have to give this one a 5/5. this straightner heats up in no time! it gets really hot, so it makes it… Read more
quicker to straighten thick and long hair, which i love, because sometimes, when I'm in a rush, i just need to go over a strand of hair a couple of times, and hey presto! it does not damage my hair which is also a bonus because i use it quite often. also, the 360 degree swivel cord is great because you dont have to continuously untangle the cord, which saves time. it's a bit fat. i would have preferred it much more if it were more slim, but i suppose you get used to it.
Bad – I regret purchasing this item as it does not work with my hair at all. It leaves it frizzy and looking dead. I have curly, thick hair however. This works great on my friend's hair though, however she has to run it few a thorugh times to get a good result. I gave this item a 2/5. Big plates Can be bukly and heavy and it isn't suite to my hair at… Read more
all I also feel when I do use it it damages it a fair bit. It also takes a while to heat up and cool down.
