Instant curls – Easy to use curler. The designed grooves keep hair in position to curl. Love the secure hair locking device to keep stand from coming loose. Hard to get to back of head. Quick heating. Easy to hold. Colour not an option- only had white easy to read instructions with diagram.

Feeling Duped – After one use I want my money back - feeling duped. I have curly hair and just wanted this to refresh it the day after washing but no joy. The size of the grooves and only being able to curl one way was hopeless. Also you have to carefully hold the end of the strands to the barrel so not a good curl to the end of the length of hair. Useless.

I love this!! – This curler is absolutely amazing!!, it only takes about 10-15 minutes to do my hair with this product, I've had it for about a year and a bit and I still love it!!

amazing! – Ive never been good at curling my hair with wands or even my ghd but i used this straight after purchasing and was able to curl my whole head in about 15 minutes, my hairs not thick but quite long and i dont have any problems curling it despite its length, curls shouldnt start too high up otherwise they look unatural so people with long hair… Read more

shouldnt have a problem unless it is super long. its so easy to use and i never held my hair in for longer then 15 seconds and got perfect curls every single time, for such a good price would definitely recommend.

False advertising, Remington please explain! – You will not get a perfect curl with this very dodgy appliance. Like the other reviewers, the spring action clip did not grip my hair so it was impossible to wind hair around the wand. It is a useless product and Remington have some explaining to do.

Not bad, but not perfect – I've owned this tool for many months now, and it has both good and bad points. I actually haven't yet had my hair caught in the clip as other reviewers have mentioned, however the biggest issues I've had are the fact that it only curls in one direction, and if you have very long hair, it won't be able to curl the entire length in one go. I have… Read more

very thick hair, and I find that the clamp is too small to hold large chunks of my hair, so it does take me up to an hour to curl my whole head of hair due to having to take small chunks at a time. I haven't had issues with it simply not curling - you do have to hold it for a while to get it to curl the hair well, though.

It heats up fairly quickly, which is good. It's also fairly easy to use, once you get used to it. Be aware though that the plastic spiral shell covering the actual hot wand isn't heat proof and does become too hot to touch, making the tool a bit hard to use after a while.

Overall, this tool isn't bad. It's inexpensive, does what it says and does produce even and well-formed curls. However, since it only curls in one direction (very frustrating, trust me), becomes too hot to touch after a while and can't handle super long or thick hair, it's definitely not the best curling tool out there. Inexpensive, curls evenly, heats up quickly Becomes too hot to touch, only curls in one direction, can't handle long/thick hair

Awful! – Don't waste your money. Your hair gets caught on the clip and you end up yanking your hair out (for thick and thin sections of hair). I personally have long hair and have to curl the top part and bottom part as it doesn't all fit. I recommend to spend that little but extra to get quality that your happy with. Swivel cord, heats up fast Hair gets caught on clip, only curls in one direction, doesn't do the whole length of hair

What a nightmare – Nothing worked out well with this curler, the clasp is too small to hold any hair, you have to select very small strands and when you finish and want to open the clasp, it pulls your hair off!. I spent 15 gruesome minutes to try and least curl some of my hair, nothing worked. The hair does not fall in between the spaces where it should go, it will… Read more

roll on top of the protective shield. Even the hair that managed to roll around the hot part didn't come out curled. I'm taking it straight back to where I bough it from. The one I used to own 15 years ago was so much better (not a Remington). cheap. everything. does not curl the hair, the amount of work you have to put in is not worth it.

Not the best choice for curler as there are many defects – I found the curler quite hard to use as the curls only went one way and layered hair stuck out of the protective barrel as you could not get close contact to the main wand through the cover. The clip also pulls on the ends of your hair causing some bits to be stuck in it damaging your hair. The whole size of the curler is too big and stubborn to… Read more

work around your hair esp at the back and the inside layers. Curl sizes are limited to the designed swirl of the cover so you cannot pick the size and length of your curls. You also can't pick the temperature variations and adjustments because there are none and you would also not be aware of exactly how hot and ready is the curler as it does not have any indication light for temperature readiness. I did my whole head and from the back it only looked like 1/4 of my hair was curled and that was all at the bottom as the curler is simply hard to work over your head. Overall this isn't the best choice compared to the vs sassoon curl or wave magic. I guess it do sorta make organised neat curls but that's also a con if you want your curls to have abit of life and personality in it. All listed above in description. Price isn't the cheapest and hard to receive warranty. Poor packaging.

Brilliant curler, perfect curls every time! – My daughter has very long hair and lots of it! I wanted to curl it for a concert but wasn't too confident using a traditional curling wand. I thought this was probably a gimmick but decided to try it anyway - the results were amazing! Super easy to use, you just clip the end in and twist the curler, it guides the hair through the grooves into the… Read more

perfect position. Very easy to unwind.

Because of the curl guide you are protected from burning fingers / head which is great.

As Mama Silva said, you can only wind a limited amount of hair onto the wand so if you wanted to completely curl very long hair you'd have to do each section twice. What I ended up doing was putting velcro roller on the top sections to give lift at the root, then curled the ends with the Remington. I agree with MamaSilva that it actually looks better with only the bottom half done, gives gorgeous, bouncy ringlet-type curls (but not Shirley Temple).

The curl is reasonably big so probably wouldn't work on short hair, but would be fine on medium to long. Also, you can only curl the hair in one direction so eg in the front you might have hair curling in on one side and out on the other - but you couldn't tell on my daughter's hair and it certainly didn't ruin the effect.

One of the biggest surprises was how long the curls hold. I sent her off to school in the morning with her hair out and curled and expected her to come home looking like a mess. 8 hours later the curls were perfect. I even gently ran a brush though and short time later the curls had re-formed!

Make sure you use some sort of heat protection, and hair spray will help set the curls.

I can highly recommend this product! Perfect curls, super easy to use, curls hold for ages, quick to heat up Doesn't curl the whole length of long hair, twists in one direction only

Perfect ringlet curls! – Works really well on my daughter's long, straight hair. Fast, effective and beautiful curls. Best for ringlet style curls. Not so good if hair is very long if you want the entire length curled as it cannot take the entire strand. YOu have to do one strand in two goes as you are a little limited by the outter curl guide as to how much hair you… Read more

can curl. But it still works. Looks best if only the last 1/2 of the hair is curled anyway. My daughter has hair to waist and it is fine but there is a lot of it. It takes us 15-20 min for the bottom half of her hair if we spray hair spray on each curl as soon as it is done (only 30 secs heat per strand). If you don't want to use hair spray or other fixing product, you have to leave hair much longer in contact with the heating element. excellent results very fast. has never burnt fingers or damaged hair doesn't take very long strands as the curling guide limits how much hair can be twisted on in one go

Best hair appliance I ever had ! – I have very thick long hair, I alternate between straight & curly, this is the only curler that holds curls in my hair, not just for a day, but a week. Beautiful spiral boho curls, the curls look really natural & I always get compliments, have used hot rollers, tongs, barrels & a straightner to curl, this by far is the best. Easy to use, relatively quick for a full head of hair, sets curls excellently .
