Highly recommended – My mum gave me this as she didn't use it and I love it. I believe it works just as well if not better then the $200 GHD one I had. I highly recommend it!

Amazing – I brought this straightener years ago and i'm still completely in love with it, sadly after years of every day use mine did break but it was my fault for leaving it on the bench and water spilled on to it. I can not recommend this straightener enough, I plan on buying another one immediately

Ineffective straightener/rips thru hair – I bought a Hot Pink after reading positive reviews but now I'm assuming those reviews are from an earlier edition of the straightener. When I bought mine (mid 2014) on sale from The Good Guys I received a good looking straightener in impressive packaging that turned out to be a let down. I paid $20 +P&P, which is the lowest price I've seen it for… Read more

online.

I have long hair with moderate waves/curliness and frizz that usually responds well to straightening. The Hot Pink didn't seem to heat to 230 degrees as advertised (yes, we straightening pros really can tell). The silver plates ripped through my hair and left me cringing at the thought of all the damage being done. On top of that the plates didn't come together snugly, which intensified the tearing action. The frizziest parts of my hair at the fringe area were pulled and tugged, but as the hair is quite thin there it wasn't straightened at all. Took a lot longer than it should have and the results were sub-standard. I can't recommend this product to anyone now that I've tried it out a few times. Note: it doesn't get better as you learn to handle it more effectively. Same tearing. Same low heat. Same crummy product. The packaging looked great. Doesn't work as advertised; low heat; tore hair out.

Excellent and not expensive! – I have had this Remington product for over a year and it gets used all the time and works well :) I cannot justify paying the ridiculous price for GHDs and I am glad I bought this set of straighteners. You can change the temp settings, they warm up fast, they aren't heavy and the plates are smooth. Temp setting controls are great you can lock it at a certain temperature nothing

Awesome – I have owned this hair straightener for approximately 1 1/2 years. Still it works like the day I bought it. But, there is a difference with mine. A few weeks after I bought it, my dad stepped on it, and broke the joint. I can still straighten my hair, I personally think it is so much better than my friend's GHD, which leaves her hair not even… Read more

straight. But that could be because I have minor hair styling training, and she doesn't. It is an amazing hair straightener for a cheap price, I recommend it to anyone looking for nice hair. reliable even after broken, really quick at heating up, really quick at straightening

Remington Hot Pink – I have really thick Curley bushy hair and this straightener is the best substitute for a GHD straightener but I often have problems with the remington products, the cord always shortcuts and stops working or ill have to move the cord into a specific position in order for it to work I've been through 5 remington hot pink straighteners in one year I… Read more

personally would recommend it to someone doesn't use the straighteners on a daily basis. Inexpensive and I liked the texture of my hair after I used it Electronics played a major factor in its faults
