Unit works fine until timer fails. Australian supply zero stock and cannot source one. I now have to use it manually. Not happy at product support Show details

Compact and efficient, but dreadful loud timer – A great unit works extremely well. The only flaw is the relentless loud ticking of the timer. Is there a way to turn this off, never needed in the past.

Love mine, can’t live without it – Has been fantastic but just recently the timer wont turn so won’t switch off the light or power, so bit of a safety issue now. Hoping I can get a replacement timer Show details ·  1

Great concept, poor quality – Onto my third one in a matter of months. First one, the holes on the door hinges didn't line up with the holes on the cabinet. Rang the distributor, Shriro, who sent a replacement door. The hinges on the replacement door were faulty AND damaged with touch-up paint visible on the inside. Was referred to the "technical department," to whom I… Read more

sent clear photos of the problem. This time it went in the too-hard-basket and I was told to take the whole unit back to place of purchase. That's 40kg of metal that won't fit into an SUV without removing child restraints and folding down all except the driver's seat.

Now, we'd had this unit waiting around for almost a year before installation as the laundry reno took forever. I had to request a receipt reprint and then remind the Bunnings service desk member that they cannot fob you off back to the manufacturer if your product is faulty. She was reluctant to accept the copy of the receipt although the credit card digits matched the card itself, and she argued we'd had the product too long for them to even consider a warranty exchange or refund. When I requested to speak to the manager I was told by the same service desk rep that she'd just repeat what I was already told. Lucky for me (and her) the manager was competent enough to know their obligations under Australian Consumer Law and issued a refund without question.

Fast forward to another purchase I ordered online from a different store and now, while this unit's holes and hinges line up, the door is dinged and dented. If it weren't for the fact that I had a recess cut and studded out in my laundry wall I would just go back to a normal, freestanding ironing board. This adventure has been a waste of time and money and the end result is disappointment with a costly, poorly-constructed product.

This is not up to the quality of previous models – I agree, but what really annoys me is trying to find a replacement cover, mine is rotting away. I have been looking for over a year and today see one for $85 which I think is exorbitant. I also had them in my past two homes over 35 years and the new one is rubbish.

Poor design workmnaship and no customer service – I recently purchased this product after having one in my previous home. After it was installed it was evident it had been patched up inside the cabinet which was dinted then painted over in a different colour paint in several places. The actual boards is so poorly designed where the mesh meets the solid it is rusty. When I close it up it jumps… Read more

out of the notches which is quite dangerous as it is quite heavy. Contacted Robin Hood who agreed to replace the item but I had to have an electrician and handyman remove it at my expense as I should have inspected the product before it was installed. What happened to quality control?? This product should not have been sent out in the first instance. I declined their offer as I would have had to pay again to have it re-installed. Don't waste your money the workmanship is appalling.

Best thing ever – I've had mine for 12 months and I love it...best thing to have in my sewing/ironing room....but I think the padding needs to be thicker...I love the fact I can quickly pull it out to use it and then quickly put it away

Very disappointed – After having my Robinhood for 20 years the time had come to replace it. I loved my Robinhood ironing centre so did not even think to do my homework before purchasing another. I actually believed Robinhood to be a brand of quality. The new centre is nothing like my old one. It is a like a cheap imitation of what I had. It is so flimsy it is like… Read more

ironing on a diving board. After only a few weeks screws have already started falling out. Very disappointed and would not recommend wasting your money on one.

Bad design or lack of quality control – I bought one of these about 2 years ago but within a few months it had broken. At the bottom of the ironing board there is a metal rod which acts as a hinge when it is folded open or closed. There is a plastic grommet at each end of the rod which slots into a metal bracket on either side. One end locks into the metal frame underneath the ironing… Read more

board and the other end fits loosely into the metal bracket on the side of the cabinet. The steel rod should have extended about 1cm or so into the side brackets but it didn't. The rod was too short and there was only about 2mm of it at each end sitting above the metal bracket edge. After we had lowered and raised the board a few times the metal rod shifted and only one side of the board was supported by the metal bracket. The result was that the little plastic grommet on one side bore all the weight and eventually broke. Once it broke it is impossible to use the ironing board until you can replace the broken grommet. Depending on where you live this can take up to a week. I have had to replace one of these grommets on four occasions. I have replaced the old rod with a new one which is much longer and have had no further problems.

Excellent – Great. Would put it into every home. Highly recommended! They are a little on the expensive side, but with the overall cost of building it really is insignificant. This product is great. THere is plenty of storage for your iron, water bottle, starch spray etc. The iron fits easily onto the shelf. Our builder positioned the unit to suit our height.… Read more ·  2

You can swivel it so you run parallel with the wall or at the side. Lastly, it folds away with no fuss. Definately worth the expense to make the awful job of ironing a little easier.
