Robomaid RM-770 Automatic Robot – I had one and found it was fantastic but not suitable for my house as I have a lot of raised rugs : ie Sheepskins and the Robo does not go over them. Now as I am unwell and unable to do housework I have a Cleaner so she Vacuums as well. I sold it to a lady who is very happy with it. Show details
Great little unit – Doesn't go well over carpet or mats. Known as bObsweep in USA. Parts are all available at a price. Bought new batteries and packed them myself. Runs better than new. Tyres are now a bit slippery and so didn't grip well, fixed that with a weighty plate on its back. Show details
False Advertising – On the box it states "Vacuums on any Surface" does not tell you that if the surface is dark or in direct sunlight it will not work. I have dark grey carpets (this is why I brought it) but it does not work. Goes for 2 secs then stops. Yet it works sort of OK on lino the same color.

Okay I found a solution for The dumb brush on the stupid Robomaid – Most people if you are having a problem with the brush falling off all the time have a look at the little groove that the brush sets in and see if it is a hexagon shape or if it is another shape if it is another shape grab a small nut for a screw that is hexagon you will need a small one and glue it on to the end of your brush if it fits in the… Read more
groove . Wait a little bit and make sure that the night is very tight when you insert it in to groove once you have done that just slightly tap on the brush it to go up and down if so you don't really wanted to do that you wanted to be as close as it can be to the carpet so you will see two screws in either side of the end that hold the brush in get them and screw them out just over the cover so they could not go back in. If you want to make it more closer to the ground after you screw the screws a little bit out your see a little hole in one side of the slots the hexagon side just grab a little toothpick break in half or a third of it and shove it in that little hole so it holds the wheel more out so the stick will be sticking Inside the little hole but outside over the edge so we'll cannot be pushed back in as for the batteries yes they are faulty as and do you need replacing it does make the machine a lot better but also remember that the suction on this machine also goes so I've also done a minor adjustment I pulled it apart took off one of the filter lockers as it has like three seats of covering which makes the suction restricted to work and pick up so it needs minor adjustments What I have done is removed one of the filters from the inside of the slot that you put the dust tray into also if you're feeling very handy another thing I have done to my Rubbermaid is open inside and Cutmore the opening for the fan suction to be stronger as there was crap all hall for the Suction to go through in the first place I honestly don't even know how this thing with the working ever at all it is absolutely made ridiculous I hope I can help some people out with this also about the Robo made going backwards tried it does open the rubbish compartment and then click it back in and start the Robo made again I've had the same problem And I do that and it seems to kick over again
love it , but brush has stopped working after only 2 months of once a week use and regular cleaning – I was given my robomaid (Sadie)( as a birthday present from my children. Was very skeptical at first, and after watching it work thought it was crazy. However I use the virtual wall to stop it getting stuck on the carpet edge ( only vacuum the vinyl area.) and shut all the doors in the hallway. I find If I leave it to "do its thing" it does a… Read more · 1
great job and floor looks great when I get home. However the last week it has been doing a less than perfect job, in fact Sadie has been leaving lots of grit and dirt built up in spots. Gave it it's usual clean of the main brush only to find that the square end of the main brush has broken off in the mount. Got me baffled how this could have occured, bad design or fault? Waiting on a reply from the website as to what to do next. Other than that I love it (when working) as I can be doing other things while the floor is getting cleaned. I can be doing other things while the floor is getting cleaned. brush has broken, does get stuck on things like mats and cords.
Would replace it within minutes if something happened to it. Couldn't live without it now – I live on a farm with lots of dust. I also have a bad back. "Sheldon" is the best investment I have ever made. I alternate one day upstairs and one downstairs on the concrete. He gets stuck under my car mudflaps so has a few dings. He hits furniture a bit, especially dark, narrow legs, but it's worth it. The first time I used him was after I had… Read more
vacuumed and mopped the whole house and he still filled his bin. My whole house is so much cleaner because I can clean other things while he's working instead of laying down crippled after vacuuming.
I don't leave Sheldon unattended because he occasionally errors out getting up onto handmade floor rugs. They are cleaner than they've been in 20 years. I have to clean the filters every day which takes maybe 3 minutes and wash them once a week, another 2 minutes. He's not good with corners but it doesn't matter because nothing gets in the corners any more. The battery lasts over 1.5 hours, more than enough to do one level of the house many times over.
Instead of 2 buckets of black water when I used to vacuum and mop every weekend I now get one bucket of brownish water (and that's mostly from behind the freezer, fridge etc.) every 2nd week. I bought one for my 78 year old mother as well and now when I ring her all she talks about is how great "Cosmo" is and the funny smell is gone from her house. Dad talks to him, tells him where he is going. I have pulled my older vacuum cleaner out once in 2 months and that was to do the lounge.
The thing is, he cleans better than my expensive vacuum cleaner and it's so lovely to walk into a clean house after work every day. Cleans better than Dyson vacuum Tends to hit more furniture and doorways than I'd like

Replacement Battery – I was so disappointed when Robomaid disappeared. I had one that worked well then it needed a new battery. I was looking on the Deals Direct site for another robot vacuum when I noticed the advertisement for a battery which was the same voltage and looked the same as the robomaid battery. I thought it was worth a try and now the Robomaid is working… Read more
perfectly again it has been going for 50 minutes as I write this. I went to Deals Direct - appliances - vacuums.
I love my Robomaid – Same as Julie, I lock it in one room at a time and let it do it's thing, love the fact it cleans under the beds. Thick pile & shaggy rugs it doesn't like but I think it's a great time saver & lets me get on with something else. The only thing that I find difficult is removing & replacing the brush for cleaning.
We love Robin our Robomaid – We have had Robin for 5 months. Our house is mostly polished concrete and Robin does not like my daughters shag pile rug, or the lounge room rug which is dark but she is the only one who can clean my sons rug. She picks up an enormous amount of dust as we have cats. I can leave her alone is rooms where I know she wont get stuck on things, but… Read more
most of the time she does the vacuuming whilst I am ironing or cooking. I always make sure to give her a thorough cleaning at least twice a week as like I said, she picks up a lot of dust. She lost the screw which keeps the small rotating brush in place and this has come loose a couple of times. Am now hopeful to buy a couple of replacement screws as she came with a spare brush but no screws. Did not enjoying dragging out the old cleaner whilst she is out of action.

Can't contact robomaid – My robomaid is not working still under warranty cannot get in contact with robomaid by phone or email. Putting in hands of consumer affairs.
Robomaid where is the company – I brought a robomaid back in April 2014 and it worked fine for about 3 months then it stopped doing it's usual clean and kept coming up with a code 2 I was forever chasing it about to restart it again I finally got onto the company when it happened they sent me replacement floor sensors which I replaced and it worked like a dream but then in… Read more
November it started playing up again and moves 10 cm and stops again so I'm assuming the floor sensors are faulty or it's just the machine that has a serious faults all the time , I've been looking for the web site to complain to agin but it seems to have disappeared so now I'm stuck with a dust collector how disappointing so glad I didn't buy extra warranty for this pile of junk I'm stuck with, what do I do with it now totally disappointed with it and the company now , has the company gone bust or what ?
Feeling very frustrated indeed
Robomaid stopped working after 5 months – Purchased via facebook robomaid xmas offer paid $369 and I liked it at first. Did notice that a lot of hair got caught in the corners of the brushes and I sent and email to robomaid approx 4 weeks after receiving my unit asking was this a design fault. No response. Now my unit just turns in a circle. The wheel appears to be stuck and no way to fix it. Yes what a disgrace and now my husband will say "I told you so" hmm not happy Jan.

Great Product and service in the past - but no longer – I've loved using my Robomaid and havent had any problems with it except when it got caught on a cord recently and damaged the end of the roller brush. It won't vac properly now because the brush won't rotate and pick up dust. I'm trying to order a new roller brush but can't get any response from Robomaid. I did order some replacement small side… Read more
brushes in the past which Robomaid sent for free and gave good service reply to my email. What a shame they seem to have disappeared now!

Robomaid has ceased trading in Australia - worthless warranties – I've been trying to contact these guys for weeks to replace a plastic piece that had broken off my Robomaid. I found this warning from the Western Australian Gov advising that they are no longer trading. I see some others on here have been having the same problem. So I guess that means our warranties our worth nothing!!! I did actually love my… Read more

Totally useless and waste of money!!!! – Bought Robomaid almost 12 months ago and has been a problem since I got it. Have had bits replaced but made no difference. Won't even move off docking station at all now. Website gone, emails bounce back and reviews from people who have lost their money. What a crap company!!!
Robomaid Arrg – Was good for about 2 months, then useless, can't contact them by phone or email. So I'm going to have to throw it way! I started making noises, I checked the bin & rollers and cleaned it very well. Spent 2 to 3 weeks trying to contact them with NO luck what so ever.
Useless product – We got our Robomaid just over a year ago, paid $369 for it,and have used it no more than 6 times tops....it is useless,it won't go up over the little lip from our family room to the kitchen, gets caught on our duct covers on the floor, gets caught up under the bed continuously ,just a waste of money..have fortunately talked friends out of ever considering one....not at all happy...waste of $'s
Spare Parts – I ordered spare parts and paid for them on line for them to the Cherrybrook address. I Was sent a dispatch email with an order and tracking Number, after a week i went looking via the post Tracking Number as it had not arrived only to discover that it had not been sent at all . so i tried to contact Robomaid many time over the next week, my… Read more
emails bounce back, telephone not connected, even the web site was down. I listed a dispute with PayPal and have now got my money back, thank God for PayPay any one that is buying anything of the net should be using them, Robomaid you are a disgrace.
Warranty issue – I returned our unit mid March to a po box address in Cherrybrook. Sent it registered mail and have evidence it was received. Now no robomaid, emails bounce back, telephone not connected and further registered letters sent to robomaid and the warranty po box go unanswered. I sent registered mail. but no response. Went to fair trading who 'investigated' but came back with no response from the trader. No kidding. They can't (won't) do anymore. Useless contacting them. So we are left with no unit and no way of getting it back. Surely there must be some recourse as robomaid is still listed as a company.
The company still exist? – Bought the robomaid 11 months ago. So much trouble. The first of all, the machine itself went into malfunction like just doing rounds only. Then tower went malfunction few month later as it won't charge the machine directly at all. Then yesterday the socket felt into the machine when I noticed the machine went flat. I can't charge the battery… Read more

where has the robomaid company gone?? – Wow. This product worked fantastic and I loved it. Bought it in October 2014. Come April 2015 and Bam! No longer does anything! Completely malfunctioning! What a crappy piece of junk – I purchased one of these units, and it never worked from the day I opened the box. I have returned the unit complete over six weeks ago, and to date have not even had a reply. I chose this unit because it had good reviews, but I am here to tell you that they are a piece of CRAP... Anyway, so now I still don't have a vacuum cleaner, and it looks… Read more

This product has not work properly since day one – Not happy at all with product. Have tried many times to contact customer service and not one reply phones don't work emails come back. My advise is stay away from this product. Senor pads on bottom come unstuck then get vacuumed up. Now charging unit does not work. I've had problems from day one.
Rubbish Product – Purchased the robomaid a year ago doesn't work anymore. Don't buy this product, it's rubbish and to pay $500 plus for something that doesn't last. Waste of money.
Don't buy one – I bought the twin pack 5 months ago and they have stopped working. I have sent emails to customer service and to their Facebook and still have got no reply back from them. These has been going over the last couple of months.
customer support number not working – Bought mine a year ago. Even bought extended warranty, but what for? It works fine before, then a week ago suddenly made this funny noise. Brushes won't stop rolling while charging, so annoying. Completely not working now. Called them, invalid number. Email also bounced back. What a poor customer service and after sales support. Don't buy this product.
Ruby Tuesday my Robomaid – Works well if you follow the instructions - love my little Ruby Tuesday but today it had bit of a rattle and not cleaning as well, so I picked her up and the brush fell out. The little square bit at the end has snapped off. Why ?? faulty part ?? Machine only about a year old. Show 2 replies
wont work after a few uses – Have had for less than 3 months and it has a big problem, shows error all the time and wont work. I have tried to contact the company to use the 18 month warrantee but emails are returned, their telephone is unavailable, and no response from their FB page.

cheap purchase and I am not happy. And before you reply and tell me to call the support team like you have to other unhappy customers here is my mobile number 0433762887 how about you give some customer service and call me. I won't hold my breath. Tracey
Maybe it's time for the consumer watch dog to have a bit of a look at why we can not get help.
Fairly good when it works – Bought back in 2010 and were fairly satisfied with how much hairs, dust and debris it collected, though it almost never found the charging station and just sat where it ran out of juice beeping away. We packed it away for a couple of years while we were renting and when we moved into our new home it just kept stating error 4 - front sensor… Read more
failure. Robomaid support website suggests replacing the entire sensor array for $40, though I just replaced the defective infrared led and it was as good as new. While sitting unused on the charging dock for a few days it flashes Error 9 - Software error. Nothing will remove this error, have followed the resetting advice on the Robomaid website. Still waiting for a reply to see if our Robomaid is anything other than a pile of E-Waste. Hopefully third time lucky with customer support though not expecting much.
Warning!!! do not buy this product!!! – .Gets stuck everywhere!! Doesn't do anywhere near the job it says it does.. Tried emailing customer care and sales only for my email to bounce back and when I call the number is Unavailable. Considering it would seem they are still selling this product do bot buy as I pretty sure you would not even receive the product! Unhappy customer!!
Worst appliance I have ever purchased – Doesn't do anywhere near the job it says it does. I always have to vacuum with my dyson hand held (which was only $100 more and is 100 times a better vacuum cleaner) I also have hardly used it and now it won't go at all. Tried emailing customer care only for my email to bounce back and when I call the number is Unavailable. Considering it would seem they are still selling them I plan to contact consumer affairs. Extremely unhappy customer!!
Short life and gets stuck on everythibg – Robomaid would not replace my not working vacuum , they told me I didn't maintain it. I've hardly used it and it stopped working within 6 months. Very disappointed , not worth the price

Robomaid Customer Care – I have previously reviewed this product, but would like to add that their customer care shouldn't be faulted. me- and it was returned to me within a week, and I'm in Adelaide.
That part of their business impressed me. I think most people value good after sales, and theirs was a no fuss 'no questions asked' policy.
Just thought I should add that. Fast, friendly, efficient
Can not be left alone – I had really high hopes for this robot but it has been an absolute let down. Firstly, it keeps getting jammed under cabinets and couches that it shouldn't - with the height they are at it should just bounce off and keep going but it keeps trying and trying until it gets jammed then goes into error mode. Secondly, it keeps trying to pick up the… Read more
corners and edges of my rug- then goes into error mode. Thirdly, it randomly goes into error mode number 4 even when on plain flat timber flooring, and after all sensors have been cleaned. And finally it has never, ever found it's way home to it's base, even when in an open area and it clear sight of the base. The customer service was horrible when I rang to get a refund; they refused because it was past the 60 day trial period (I rang just after the 60 day trial period ran out ) and apparently the constant errors, jams and inability to find the base are not a warranty issue.
