We had no choice but to comply, then we received the etickets in unprintable pdf file which did take a while to sort it out with the help of the roundabout travel head office. During the traveling we realised there are 2 mistakes to the destinations, though we did specify that the destination to Florida was to be in Jacksonville but instead the booking was done landing at Miami international which is about 600 km of mark and the destination in Italy was specified to be in Florence but the booking was done to depart in Rome about 400 km away. United airlines in the US did assist and amended the flight with a small fee but the roundabout travel send us an angry email threatening that they reserve the right to cancel all the scheduled remaining flights if we do not comply with the schedule flights as it was reserved by them. Though in the terms and condition provided by roundabout travel, its written "the flights can be amended by the service providing airline itself or by the roundabout travel agency. We had to cancel the amendments flights. hotel, etc and travel with taxi and had to deal with this embarrassment. After we arrived in Australia, I called the agent from roundabout travel to explain why there was a miss in 2 destinations and the response was that "they send to us the travel schedules and destinations and is our fault for no checking it". Our experience with round about travel was that this agency cares only about making money in rescheduling flights as we realised the fees for these amendments are very high doing it from the travel agent..

Do not hesitate to make use of their services. While the internet has made booking flights easier than it was, a complex itinerary works better when a professional is helping work it all out. The price quoted is far better than anything I could find. And when it goes wrong, you have help at hand rather than four hours on hold to three different airlines, only to have it messed up and you have to call them again. Just an email or quick phone call and it’s sorted for you.

Most people seem to write reviews when they’ve had a negative experience, what I noticed when I wrote mine is that most people have had an overwhelmingly positive experience with this company and that speaks volumes about them.

hour wait in Zurich airport. We have dealt with Mark and Adam and both have been exemplary in their dealings with us - cannot recommend them highly enough. You can pay by credit card with NO fees but need to be able to pay within 3 days of booking or the airlines will cancel the reservation. Being organised and having a good idea of what you want will expedite the procedure.

thought I would give them 'the benefit of the doubt', but no, they were rude and unwilling to assist unless you guarantee you will book with them. I would NEVER want any of my family or friends to experience their lack of professionalism. My next trip will be booked through ONEWORLD, just like my last.

Worst service ever – I've tried to book a ticket with [Name Removed] and I could say that she was more interested in selling what she wanted rather than my personal choices. Everything that I asked, like, it's that possible? Can I do this or that route? The answer was always no, without any explanation!!!!! It seems that she was doing a huge favor to us trying to sell an all round ticket! Run away from them!

Excellent service – I've just booked with them, and have been really, really impressed with their service. They seem really smart and agile, got me a great deal compared to STA and Flight Centre, and can make informed calls on things like how to get the best ff points value for money. She spent a great deal of time trying to understand all the places that we wanted to visit and the best way to do it. We travel to South America, Europe and North America for about the same price as just going to South America.

including an "Essential Travel Checklist" that should be carefully perused by travellers. In particular, note that Airlines can reschedule flights at any time, and while RoundAbout endeavours to advise you of such changes, they also suggest that you check viewtrip.com with your booking reference to get the most up to date travel times.

The Checklist also warns to Never Miss/Skip a Flight because the remaining flights will be cancelled and you will need to purchase a whole new ticket.

These checklist items became pertinent when I attempted online check-in with Austrian Airlines during a stopover in Dubai. I only then found out that this flight had been cancelled some months previous and our booking rescheduled to a day earlier, causing us to miss our flight. Fortunately our hotel concierge, after considerable effort, was able to have it rebooked for the following day without losing our remaining flights. Luckily, this unplanned rescheduling had no impact on the remaining flight schedules and we were able to rearrange accommodations at no extra cost. But this incident caused considerable stress.

We understand that In such cases the airline is to inform the travel agent who in turn is to inform the customer of the changes. In our case this did not occur. Michelle indicated that she would look into the history of the booking to ensure it didn't happen again, but we received no feedback on the cause of the failure to communicate the rescheduling.

The lesson learned is that "Confirmed" flights should not be taken literally, and to check your flight schedules regularly at viewtrip.com.

class RTW trips for years for lots less than advertised point to point returns. I think it helps that I have always been able to book a long way ahead. Amy is incredibly professional and such an intelligent person to deal with. She THINKS and is very responsive and polite and has managed rental car deals as well for me. I would never go anywhere else - this agency is the best. I've just got back from a NY trip with them and am soon off to Germany, Russia and Switzerland.
