Barely any suction – Have had this vacuum a few months and bought for holiday house so not everyday use, even with an empty dust catcher the suction is minimal. Does not work well on carpet at all and barely works on vinyl flooring. The hose connections don't click together very well, the join from metal tube to plastic tube comes apart. It is easy to empty as it… Read more
comes apart easily but debri collects at the top and is difficult to get it all out. It looks sturdy enough, if the suction was more than minimal it would be an ok buy, as it is I would not recommend.
Waste of money – This Vacuum cleaner is so badly designed, cuts out after only a few minutes of operation and wont come back on, doesn't handle the most basic jobs. Don"t bother buying this model, I am taking mine to be recycled. Show details

It's just value for money – This vacuum does the basic stuff very well. It's light and easy to use. You should keep the bag empty and clean to get better performance at all times. If you want more, maybe there are better and more expensive options. This is cheap and right for me, it's just value for money. Show details
Pretty good – The performance has been consistent and suction is strong, you can adjust it to whichever level you want, however it's quite loud so I don't recommend using it during nighttime. Maneurverability is quite good with its flexible head and I would recommend using it on carpets and hard flooring. Great product. Awesome. Show details
Great easy man friendly – easy to use and it picks up everything even the mess left by my grandson. Does lose some suction at about the halfway full but leaves the house clean enough that the wife does not complain. Does not eject dust like my old cleaner, be aware you must be upwind when emptying the unit. Show details

Messy to empty and suction increasingly poor – This vacuum machine is very poor. It lost suction quickly after a few uses even though I emptied it frequently. With 2400 watts and the name cyclonic I expected far better lasting suction. It is messy to empty because of a conical filter inside the dust area that quickly clogs up and is difficult to take out. You have to grope into the bottom of… Read more
the dust area with your fingers to pull clotted dust and fibres out, exposing yourself to unhealthy dust. I will return to bagged vacuums in the future. This model (discontinued in Australia) should be removed from New Zealand stores asap.
Hated it – Too bulky and it started to slowly fall apart after a year of use. Was under warranty so had to get refunded. It has decent suction and was easy to empty but that wasn't enough to make up for it breaking and how wide it is. Was really hard to manoeuvre around my small house. Never again, sorry! Show details
This is not good to try – Using vacuum with bag than decided to bagless vacuum...it is good no bag then when vacum start like plane leaving...suctioning is not really good it is do job but noisy..it is light and easy to clean when finish the job... There are 2 pieces carpet but not enough and good clean so far Show details

Cheap vacuum - Great apartment clean – My housemate was originally looking at getting a dyson. Considering the cost and the size of the apartment it was hard to justify so we looked at a number of other options. After finding the RH bagless on sale at Harris Scarfe we decided to try it and if it didn't meet our needs we would return it. Well.... we have been happily surprised by… Read more
the performance. A quick and easy cleaner of our carpeted apartment, no need to repeat areas. The noise is as you would expect with a vacuum. HEPA filter was a must and a great inclusion at this price point. The only issue is the emptying process but for $100 I am happy to compromise - it is not a nightmare but can be a dusty process.
Very good suction – Model 202P does a great job; so good the filters need cleaning regularly. Including the rear filter which many users probably miss despite the instructions saying I suck well but my filters must be kept clean. Those saying the Cyclonics will not pick up crumbs; That is absolute rubbish. Like most consumers many using suction appliances don't use them properly and fail to clean them. Show details
Great for the price but – Bought this Bagless Vacuum Cleaner from Target Store in Camberwell. Works great for the price (2 year Warranty)...but it looses its power of suction too soon as it starts to fill up the barrel with floor dirt, is very heavy, on max speed is very noisy, and is cumbersome to lift and being very large, therefore difficult to Store in a small cub… Read more · 4

It works great on both rugs and wooden floors in my home...You have to empty the bagless container in the open, as it is a dirty messy business, also you need to empty and clean the filter after each use otherwise there is little suckson.
It is as the saying goes"you get what you pay for"
and at $199.00 instead of $400.00 plus for a Dyson.
My next vacuum cleaner will definitely be a Dyson!.
I would buy and recommend buying from Target Stores as a place you can trust, however I cannot recommend the item to buy. Very disappointing from a Russell Hobbs product as their other products I have and found to be good quality and reasonably priced.
March 28th 2017 Update: Tested and now works great
I already lodged a Review of this Bagless Vacuum Cleaner in February 2017.
Initial shock on first use, and finding it is very heavy, difficult to pull around, loss of suction as barrel fills, difficult to pull apart to clean and then replace for next use.
Since purchase on 26/11/2016 I have now used the vacuum cleaner many times.
I can now re assess my Review:
Barrel requires emptying after each use,
Clean outdoors as the cleaning process is a dirty and messy job,
I use a paint brush to thoroughly clean all filters,
It is essential to be patient with reassembly of the barrel,
The vacuum cleaner works great on my wood and rugs on my floors.
Conclusions:
The vacuum cleaner works great at a price of $199.00 from Target Store in Camberwell Melbourne Victoria Australia.
I have not found any problem with breakage of parts.
I can recommend the Vacuum cleaner to anyone who wants a vacuum cleaner at a reasonable price.
Dirty Work – Compact, strong suction, problem is when emptying dust compartment you get extremely dirty. Be prepared if vacuum is bagless, you will have to empty it outside preferably wearing gloves. 3/10
I loved it for the first month then things started to break the twist knob to clean filter broken – I used every day on carpet and Lino. Had no pets, so wasn't working hard. Just cheap parts :-( I won't recommend, to friends as it was a waste of money $200 didn't even get a year out of it, loved the colour. But that's all I loved !!!! Cheap parts are broken easily. This is crap – I am very unhappy with this vacumn. Its poor cyclonic design constantly gets blocked. After cleaning the filter and empty the hard to get out bits i swept the carpet first then had another go. It blocked again. 5 frustrating goes to clean my small lounge. Its useless at its job! Definitly not recomended. Show details
Absolute beauty of a vacuum! – So happy with this product! It has the best suction and near pulls up my lino! I have tried so many in the past few years but this by far is my favourite hands down! Can't fault a thing! Highly recommend this product! You will not be disappointed! Worth the money! Show details

had.bought a vacum from aldi and had it 3 years amazing no loss of sucktion works amazimg parts dont fall apart. So thanks for nothing Russell hobs crap vacums
BAD – What a waste of money! does not suck properly, makes a huge noise with no gutts to pick up dirt. Suddenly cut out on me. Will complain to customer service! Do not buy this vaccum if you have a larger house. Husband bought this for me....what more can i say. Show details
Great Suction Time Consuming To Empty & Change Filter – I have owned this vacuum for a year and a half and while the suction and size of the barrel is great, it is an absolute pain when cleaning the filter or replacing the filter and emptying as the parts never seem to lock into place easily. The filter cleaner knob broke around the 12th mark and for storage, it should have a handle where the hose… Read more
connects to the machine. Would be very reluctant to buy this model again and if it were still under warranty, I would return it.
Excellent product – I use the Russell Hobbs Hepa Cyclonic vacuum cleaner model RHF206P for two years every day, cleaning 3 bedroom apartment, wet and dry cleaning on vinyl flooring. All I wanted to say that, it is a great buy, never had any problems, excellent product. And now I just need to get replacement brush as I broke mine.
Absolute rubbish – I bought this in August 2015. The suction says extreme 2200, it won't pick up a crumb, very difficult to empty and put together again, also very heavy, the hose cracked a few months after purchase, the retailer gave me a new hose. I was hoping for a new vacuum. I will NEVER buy anything made by Russell Hobbs, a total rip off.
its advertise as a 2000w but motor is only rated at 1800w – Never ever buy one again. Bought it because its saids its a 2000w vacuum, in fact, its only a 1800w. The vacuum lasted only 2 years, just out of warranty. So I pulled it apart to see if I can fix it, only to find out that the stamp on the motor is only a 1800w. Very disappointed!

So unreliable – We have had two of these Cyclonic models and both turned out to be unreliable. Both appeared to develop the same fault in that they would cut out after a few minutes use. You could wait an hour for the motor to cool down and then it would start and run for a bit before cutting out. The dirt container was also very fiddly to clean.
Avoid – We bought a vacuum to clean the floors obviously and this vacuum cannot do that, having to use it is a depressing thought. The retractable power cord doesn't retract so I guess it's just a power cord now. The filter is hard to clean, have to bang it and shake it and never seems to clean properly. I hate this vacuum in every possible way that you can hate a vacuum and if it had a face I would punch it.
Pleasant surprise – This vacuum exceeded my expectations. It is very quiet with powerful suction. It is also light and easy to use. I have had it for one month and use it on slate floors and carpets over an average 3-bed house. I've never enjoyed vacuuming but this one is actually nice to use.
Retraction – As in the previous review I made on this model I would not recommend this product. Not able to complete my 1st review. But I have had time now to remove all parts to the machine and do a complete service on it. After putting it together it worked gloriously for 1 clean. I was elated. The next clean had no suction not even to pick up a pea, or some… Read more
paper I put on the floor. Seems like there is no seal on the unit. There is plenty of suction near the motor but hardly any through the suction hose. Where can I get an exploded view of the unit so I can work out what the problem is.
I wish to retract the above review. On the weekend gone, 22/11/2015 I took the machine apart, re-cleaned the filters
and set about putting it together again and re-tested- same problem- no suction. Then looked about the garage and found a missing filter- on the cooling system to the motor. Washed and dried it, clipped in in place and have been vacuuming happily ever since. Excellent suction, not too noisy a good product. I recommend it.
Four months on and still going strong! – Further to my last review and contrary to the experience of others the little vacuum is still going strong and I am as pleased with it now as when I bought it. I must admit I haven't been as diligent in cleaning filters as I should be however the vacuum can still lift my very thick and expensive Mosul rug off the floor with ease. Am getting better… Read more
at emptying the bits of dust and fluff that don't want to leave the sanctuary of the little nooks and crannies in the catcher. The only other niggle I have found is the little brush and other optional end fitting tend not to remain in the holder attached to the pipe during vigorous use. There is of course one easy answer to that - don't work so hard!!!
Terrible!!! – Cheap - $99 Target. Brand - Apparently OK. Suction - Really good at first. Usage - Aporox. 12 times in 2 years, now crap itself. Construction - Cheap plastics, parts start to break off, filters become very clogged. Waste of time for long term use.
The worst Vaccum I owned – Purchased an Russell Hobbs Vaccum in November 2014, from Target store the worst purchase we havre made, the handle does not sit in the slot when storing, the suction is dreadful, I will never ever purchase any products from this manufacturer, I think they should stick to kettles.
Worst I have ever used! – I hate this vacuum cleaner. Not only is it light and flimsy, but It doesn't suck well, even though I empty the bin every fortnight and clean the filter once a month. It is used for 4 rooms only, weekly in a 2 person household. The canister (bin) has an unnecessarily complicated design that doesn't allow all of the dust to empty from it. I have to… Read more
tap and tap and insert my fingers into it to get the dust out. Also the filters don't come off easily (for cleaning) and then are difficult to put back. The cone in the canister is also not easy to put back because of the poor design. All this causes the user to waste time when using it. About 2 years into it's use the hose became detached and had to be duct taped on. The extendable tube/handle got stuck and couldn't be shortened anymore. I struggled and used mine for almost 3 years before it stopped working. I don't recommend this vacuum cleaner to anyone.
I hate this pile of rubbish, will be shed use now on – Requires very frequent emptying, you have to shake & pull apart every time, filter blocks, if I didn't have compressed air in the shed would be impossible to clean, dust clings all over the canister, messy dirty terrible design, does not wheel easy, hate it! Regret the purchase, will never buy another Russel Hobbs product
Brilliant Vacuum – I purchased this with the thinking Russell Hobbs would not put his name to rubbish and I sure was right! This vacuum far exceeded my expectations.....incredible suction power and so easy to manage. Not sure what other reviewers are on about that claim it useless....it is brilliant!!!! I will certainly be recommending this vacuum to others looking for reliability and efficiency without spending a fortune. Thank you Russell Hobbs.
Worked for 4 uses – I bought this when it was on sale at Target 6 weeks ago. I used it 4 times and then the brush head stopped working. Target wont take it back because I got it on sale. Very unreliable; not at all worth the price. Best to avoid this and pay half to get a vacuum without the beater brush in the first place! only worked 4 times, not worth the price
Product and support match - both awful – I purchased this as an upgrade to the Chinese own brand made for Tesco that I usually get. I thought as I had a little extra cash I should get a branded machine. What a mistake! The cleaner has more design faults than anything I have had over the last fifteen years which goes from Dyson through to a 16 UK pound vacuum. The only good thing is the… Read more
filter system, the removable filter cover with hook and eye fixing is a good idea. The motor screams and smells, the pipe is so weak it flattens with the smallest bend, the hand grip is of such poor quality that it bends just above the adjustable suction control slide. I have returned it for repair after 3 weeks as the cable return simply failed, the ratchet is just too feeble. This is the biggest waste of money and even at the heavily discounted prices Tesco have on offer, I would not waste my money. Russell Hobbes was once a guarantee of quality of design and manufacture, the current owners of the brand are clearly not aware of this. The service is really no better, the first young lady I spoke was clearly doing something far more important and had no interest whatsoever. I did call back and it appears second time lucky, I will see what happens after the machine is returned from their workshop. And truly dreadful product. The removable Velcro fastened filter cover. Many design fault, poor quality build and poor after sales service.
Awesome suction! – I have just bought one of these from big w to replace a worn out dyson. The suction is amazing, pulled up lots of hair that I did not even know was there! Easy to use, lightweight and it is easy to manoeuvre. Power cord is a little short but this is not really a problem. I was quite worried that I would not be happy having to replace a dyson with a cheaper vacuum, I need not have worried this exceeds my expectations. Power cord a little short.
