Great coffee at home – We have had our coffee machine for 3 years now and it still gets regular use. It took us a while To find our favourite pods to use, lavazza have a large range available which ensures that all tastes are catered for. The temperature is consistent and we Have had no issues at all with this simple machine.  Show details

very nice outlook – i am happy with the taste of my coffee. it is also very easy to use and clean. i like the appearance of the coffee machine. the only problem is that not many coffee capsules are compatiable to this machine. we will have to buy a specific brand of capsule.  Show details

Good machine but now leaks – I was given the machine as a present and have been happy with it until now It is easy to use and easy to clean. I have descaled it. The coffee pods (amodo mio) were great until something went wrong with their plastic container. The inside prongs could not pierce them so hardly any coffe came out. I nearly threw the machine out until I bought… Read more

the new ones (expresso delizioso) in a different box.

It now works well but water continually drips through onto my counter even when the machine is off.

Saeco Lavazza A Modo Mio Premium – I purchased a Saeco Lavazza A Modo Mio (premium) from a private seller on Ebay, the machine is new in the box and unsed, I tried to brew a coffee on a few occassions without success while following instructions on manual. After priming correctly and inserting pod, hardly any water comes out of spout, it all seem to go in tray! on speaking to a… Read more

Great product for price! – I was overwhelmed by the variety coffee pod machines in store. Being a newbie. Never had used a manual or pod machine. We live in an instant coffee household. Convenience was key. I was won over by the saeco premium by price, $228. Followed instructions poorly at the start, I admit. My first three coffees left a terrible bitter taste in my mouth.… Read more

By my fourth I was a pro. I still have the instructions by the machine and follow them each time of use. I figured I hadn't primed the machine correctly and was burning the coffee. After only owning the machine now for a week I actually have nothing but praise. Best machine for one to two adult household. If you don't have a lot of bench space. It's ideal because its compact. Easy to clean. Looks good in comparison to more expensive coffee machines. Love the frothing wand. Would be perfect if it was a little longer and moved not only left and right but pulled towards you. There is eight pod flavours to choose from. $11.99 for 16 pod capsules. Single use. Would be nice if they could add a few more flavours, hot chocolate please! Inexpensive, easy to clean, compact, durable outer case, steamer inbuilt. No automatic switch off. on/off on back would be more convenient to have on front were you can see it.

Perfect coffee every time – I was lucky enough to have won a Lavazza Modo Mio Premium coffee machine. I was actually thinking about buying a coffee machine but decided against it because i only usually buy a "propper coffee' as a treat. The money i would spend on buying a machine and the pods would take a long time to recover. BUT as i won the machine i am $400 in front! I… Read more

would recommend this machine to someone who is looking for a reliable machine that produces a good coffee time and time again. I have never made a bad coffee with this machine. One thing i would say against the machine is that you can only buy Lavazza pods (approx 80c each) and even though there are 8 different blends of coffee i find them all pretty much similar in taste. But the taste is pretty good (not at all weak or bitter). And at 80c a cup it is cheaper than buying it in a coffee shop but does add up because you end up drinking more coffee at home. So i would recommend this machine, especially to people who drink a lot of coffee. The machine is easy to clean and you have to initiate this yourself (my parents have a different machine and it is constantly telling them to 'empty drip tray' fill coffee beans' which can be frustrating). It is straight forward to use (after reading instructions!)the premium model has one button to use a measured dose (that you can change to your liking) and another button that you press to start then you press it again to stop at the volume you want (up to 200cc). Then there is a steam button and stream knob. Sometimes you dont need all those fancy dials and LCD screens.

Happy Shopping - i hope this helped. Consistently good tasting coffee, compact, stylish, Have to buy capsules (approx 80c each)

Saved my life! Great coffee, easy operation – I have owned various machines including a Gaggia Classic and this is by far the best tasting coffee and most user friendly home coffee machine I have had. I prefer the coffee to Nespresso pods and love the simplicity of one handed operation. I got rid of my Gaggia when I had my second child as I knew from experience I would not have time to… Read more ·  1

fiddle around with loading and tamping the coffee and inserting the group head filter while caring for a newborn. This machine enabled me to meet the needs of 2 children under 4 and still allow myself the small luxury of a good morning coffee that I could make with one hand in one minute. Easy operation and pods available at various retail outlets. Coffee is of good flavour and strength. I have the premium model and don't use the milk frother much as I'm not a cappucino drinker but find it very efficient when I do use it.

Excellent – After much deliberation re taste v. price of the unit,I purchased my Lavazza A Modo Mio Premium from Harvey Norman. For $299 I got a snazzy retro red machine, 32 assorted Lavazza Pods and a boxed set of 4 glass coffee cups, saucers & spoons which included a further 16 Pods from the new flavour range. I just can't fault this machine - I'd… Read more

recommend you get your hands on one asap. It didn't take long to master the technique of making great tasting coffee with excellent hot frothy milk. The Modo Mio Pods contain more tamped coffee than the Nespresso version. I love that you can fit a tall mug under the spouts, so plenty of coffee when you need that large hit of caffeine. The unit takes up very little space - is easy to use and clean. Coffee Pods can be ordered online - postage costs apply and you can only buypods from two stores - Harvey Norman and Myer. Neither store carries the full range of flavours all the time.

Excellent – Really impressed with the Saeco Lavazza A Modo Mio (Premium Model). Works like a charm and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a small, low maintenance, capsule coffee machine. Quick, easy to clean, compact, premium model has stand by mode to save power, Lavazza coffee has great taste! Capsule coffee a bit more expensive than buying coffee beans - though probably stays fresher longer.

Very happy with the machine – I have been using my modo mio premium machine for about 6 months now. I must admit I did purchase a Sunbeam milk frother as I have a very small kitchen and had trouble making room for frothing the milk, so I don't use the frother much at all. I have a coffee each morning and I have the procedure down pat, it's very easy once you get used to it. … Read more

A word of advice:

The pods can be purchased in various towns in Italy if you are ever there BUT, they are not compatible with the machines here as I discovered. They work but stop and start and the machine does not seem to like them.

It's easy to buy a few packs at the Good Guys, working out at less than $1.00 per cup. Couldn't live without it

Excellent – I own a premium model and love it - it makes excellent coffee quickly, very easy to use and looks very stylish in bright red in my kitchen. I was choosing between this one and the Nespresso. Lavazza coffee pods make genuine espresso - they are 7.5 grams of coffee each, well tempered and packed, compared to 5 grams loose coffee in Nespresso pods. … Read more

The premium model is very easy to use, it does not require any priming, so you literally just push a button to start extraction and then press it again to stop. This machine is perfect for someone who, like ourselves, is not a great fan of white coffees, although it does have a decent steam and milk frothing arm. Makes great coffee! Very stylish, easy to use and clean A bit noisy, the pods need to be ordered online as not every Myer or Harvey Norman carry them.

Excellent – After much research about what machine to buy I decided to go for this one & it didn't dissapoint. Because of the pod technology you really take out all of the potential things that contribute to a bad cup of coffee, therefore ytoum pretty much get a good coffee every time! The pannarello (premium machine) makes creamy froth too. I also rave about… Read more

this machine to anyone who will listen! I love it! -looks good-takes up little space-easy to use, easy to clean-seven different blends of coffee -pods only available online or from Myer/Harvey Norman

Do not buy the premium model!!! – I own a Lavazza Extra model and it's simple & straightforward. My partner got given a Premium model and it's a different story altogether!! The premium needs a lot of time to start up- especially after frothing your milk- the coffee buttons blink incessantly- your milk is pretty much cold by the time you can start brewing!!! There is NO major… Read more

difference between models- and if all you want is to make good coffee, and QUICKLY- you are better off with the CHEAPER Extra model. I think the Premium models are an older model anyway, and I wonder why they're still on the market when you've got a better product overall with the Extra. Hope this helps. Great tasting coffee, cheap pods. Requires a long time to start up, no point in having 2 coffee brew buttons that do the same thing, poor performance overall.

Excellent coffee - when the machine works! – Having used a machine on a recent trip to Italy I was keen to buy a machine on return to Australia. Googled distributers and tried my local Hardly Normals -but no luck. Eventually bought a premium machine from Myers only to find that the pump was faulty (apparently not uncommon). Myers graciously replaced the machine with absolutey no hassle and… Read more ·  1

I am now enjoying excellent coffee. It is I feel, better coffee than Nespresso but significantly more complicated to use. Excellent coffee Faulty pump

Compact, Goodlooking & Great Cappucino! – I have a Premium model and I am very happy with it. I've been using it for 12 mths and have had no problems with it. Took me a while to remember the process for making a cappucino, never having used a coffee machine before. Once you get the hang of it, it is fairly simple and VERY easy to keep clean. It's quite compact so doesn't take up much… Read more

bench space and looks great, comes in a range of colours (it's just been released in bright colours, wish I had one!). The no-mess coffee pods are too easy to use - no more measuring out coffee, no getting rid of messy coffee grinds. I can make two cups at a time, haven't tried making three in one go, not sure if the water tank has capacity for more than two. Coffee pods come in a variety of coffee blends (16 pods in a box), costing approx $12/box or slightly more for the fancier blends. That's around 75 cents per cup, way cheaper than your coffee shop and much more enjoyable than your cup of instant. I know pods are available from Myer (occasionally subject to discount), Good Guys and Lavazza online. Very easy to use and to clean. Good cappucino, approx 75c per cup. Looks great! Pods more expensive than ground coffee, not often on sale.
