Think before you buy samsung – We purchase a HT-BD2T system when we purchased our tv unfortunately we now wished we have never bought it because as soon as you turn it on it makes this loud girding noise coming from the blue ray player, this only started to happen after the warranty had run out? We also know of two other couples that have purchased the same system and have the same problem. So if your thinking about Samsung I strongly advise you choose a more reliable and superior product.

never had any satisfaction with samsung products

Excellent – I was in the market to replace my Panasonic [dvd] home theatre] and was looking to minimise my $$ spend. finally came across a few options ~$600 mark. Then I say the Samsung system. For a few $$ more I could get a Blu Ray system. Works Great and now need to maybe consider purchasing a Samsung Plasma to play the movies on. And the Blu-ray player supports 24 frame playback and the HD audio codecs, although there's no ethernet connectivity for BD-Live action.

Setup was easy with colour coded plugs for each nominated speaker / cable. The $100 cash back made this a real bargain. Value for Money; elegant looking system; all in one unit; cute word promting. Cabling from units clip into speakers [not plugs that could limit options when mounting] Time taken to start unit ie when unit if 'off' ejecting dvd takes ~25 seconds. no seperate adjustment of subwoofer levels on remote. Only 1 HDMI and no ethernet connectivity for BD-Live action.
