Very poor quality product – Display panel faulty after 3 years. Can't read temp properly. Ice dispense clogged up, have to remove ice bucket and rinse it every 3-4 weeks. Now freezer and fridge not cold any more. I am buying a different brand now.

As other reviews terrible purchase – Same as other reviews door replaced twice due to rusting and bubbling. Broken brittle shelves and now freezer make loud noise from fan. Will have to buy a new fridge now out of warranty but for over 2K should have lasted at last a decade. Show details

Same Problem as everyone – Freezer door bubbles and rusts at the water/ice dispenser, have had problems with bins and plastic around glass shelves breaking, we have had to replace the electronics and lost food and had to go to small claims to get compensation - would never buy Samsung again Show details

3rd time door has bubbled and rusted – Within 12 months of purchase bubbles/rust appeared bottom of the ice/water dispenser. Samsung replaced the door under warranty. 12 months or so later same thing. has a design defect and is not fit for purpose. It appears other owners of this fridge have had identical experiences. I have reported Samsung to NSW Fair Trading. Feeling totally ripped off at the moment.

Terrible – I am Samsung product lover, however this fridge has been repaired now every year since purchase in 2013 due to bubbling on the freezer door. Samsung are fully aware of the Defect but will no longer replace the door due to what they call 'reasonable lifetime of a fridge'. No-one would have bought this fridge if aware of the major defect. Large family fridge – This is a monster fridge with all the bells and whistles. Cold water & ice dispenser (with essential child lock!) and external cool storage window, very handy for milk/cold drinks etc, without having to open the fridge. very thick and need a lot of space to open up fully as they fold back on themselves, drawers cannot be removed otherwise.

We now use this in our outdoor kitchen with a smaller fridge inside which is perfect, in fact a better location in my experience due to its size.

potential problem – Overall general performance is quite ok. However I,m noticing that the small door on fridge side is getting noticeably quite warm at times. Does this indicate that it has a potential problem if so should I have it looked at by a service guy. Fridge was purchased 23/12/13 from major retailer.

Never again – Same problems with mine. First fridge took 10 weeks to arrive in Australia ( not sure as to whether manufacturer was to blame ). Fridge would not go below 10 degrees C, fought to have it replaced instead of repaired. door bubbled again after 6 months and ice dispenser broke down last week, (internal plug door cracked in half due to spring tension on very thin plastic). All in all, after 24 months to the day, I am up for a new fridge at a cost of 100 per month to buy it in the first place. As an electrical fitter, I can safely say that after having opened it to make repairs, this fridge is built not on quality but on the quantity that can be manufactured in the shortest time possible. Shame on this manufacturer as I had previously bought a fridge of theirs which broke down after 10 flawless years and on pulling that apart was impressed as to how well it was constructed. I'm off to buy an LG fridge as my dishwasher is still going strong after 8 years.

Buyer beware! – Our original fridge had all of the shelves replaced due to cracking around the edges, both doors due to rust and the ice maker looked at on 4 occasions The fridge was eventually replaced under extended warranty (with a big fight) the new fridge has now completely failed after only 6 months and we are now again waiting for Samsung to fix it.... … Read more

Appears to be a compressor failure, just hope we are compensated for all of the food lost. Nice looking fridge, access to drinks through small door Reliability, poor samsung service, ice maker is slow

Total disgrace – 4 replacements looking at 5 Won't stop beeping rusted door and the front where it bubbles looks like an alien growth without a cure Samsung really is not helping out I have had to go down other paths . Really I would expect more from samsung and oh lost 1k of food over the time Front milk juice I need a bigger space

Freezer door keeps bubbling – We purchased the SRS684GDHSS model in 2010. By the beginning of 2012 the freezer door around the water/ice dispenser started to rust. we have had the new door & it has bubbled again. Ringing Samsung this morning to see if they are going to do anything.....will let you know Looks great, love how ice maker is in door Freezer door keeps bubbling, draws in fridge only open so far so had to get things in & out of it.

samsung srs684gdhss – Purchased this side by side stainless steel fridge in July 2010 and has worked really well, but our door on the freezer side suddenly dropped i think a plastic washer from the bottom of the door snapped. of the door. I phoned Samsung and they asked me what the problem was i originally just informed them of the door dropping but then proceeded to explain the rust issue. Samsung said to me they are more than happy to replaced my doors as their was a rust issue with this particular model and replace the plastic washer which is the reason for the door dropping.Samsung sent a tech out in reasonable time to replace the doors and replace the washer. The tech took my doors out side and and took the inside carcass out and fitted then to my new outside casings and then brought them back inside which in the process scratched the insides of my doors and began to fit them back to my fridge. Immediately my partner said to the tech these doors do not match out fridge my wife will not be happy and he responded with sorry these are the only ones we have as spare parts. As soon as i got home i phoned and explained this is not good enough and i am not happy with odd colored doors and the original reason for my phone call (the door dropping) has not been fixed and the tech fitted the doors on the 15/07/13 . Now still to this date i have no response from Samsung in rectifying these issues i am completely dissatisfied with the outcome of this repair and would never in the future recommend or purchase a Samsung product

Good Buy – Good little fridge and initially it was just for a family of 2. But now that we have a little one, the fridge space seems a bit small. Also we had an issue with the front compartment door where the door pressure was broken. Luckily we had extended warranty. But overall, the water, crush/block ice function is great. Very good quality fridge – I really like the Samsung quality. Lighting is excellent. Plenty of room for a family. Shelving is fully adjustable with one in the fringe sliding back to a half shelf for large items to fit in front. 'Home bar' is really handy for milk and babies night feeds. It could however be a little more energy efficient. One thing I don't like, the backing where the water and ice button is gets water stained and is hard to get clean.

Overall very happy with this fridge and all other Samsung products we own. Looks great, home bar, in fridge water filter, warranty on compressor(10Y) lighting. energy efficiency. cover behind water/ice button water stains.
