The best monitor i have ever owned – I got two of these back in 2008 and for the time they where amazing, full HDMI and 1200p support with LED backlighting and a tonne of other inputs. Fastforward to 2017 and they are still kicking 10 years later had absolutely zero problems with them my only issue is that the 1:1 scaler doesnt handle 16:9 content very well and the TN panel is… Read more

obviously pretty dated.

If you see one of these used go for it they are still very decent for gaming (5ms or less) and the 16:10 aspect ratio is great for web browsing just dont go doing any color sensitive work.

Excellent – The T220 is Samsung's latest release in their 22" LCD monitor lineup. It would appear to be a successor to the Samsung 226BW since both feature a 2ms (GTG) repsonse time. I have both the T220 and the 226BW setup as dual monitors. I was a very happy 226BW customer but it is obvious the image quality of the T220 is even better. Contrast has… Read more

improved and the colors are a lot more vibrant. The T220 shipped with no pixel defects.

Since I mainly use this monitor for games I tested it with a number of games. Having previously used the 226BW I noticed the improved image quality immediately. Sacred 2, WoW, and Left 4 Dead all look great on this LCD. There was no pixel lag evident at all. I also tested the T220 with some DVD's. Transformers looked excellent. I decided to default the display to cinema/movie mode and colour and contrast looked good using this setting. Some may find the display a little bright but this can be fine tuned using the gamma and brightness settings. I did not feel compelled to adjust the monitor as the settings were a good compromise for games and DVD's for my needs.

The T220 uses a touch sensor to turn the monitor on and off. The curved bezel is plastic and has a clear surround that deepens to a dark red colour towards the screen itself. It is a smart looking display but may not appeal to those who love the sharp rectangular look of the 226BW. The menu selection controls are found on the right hand side of the bezel. The control layout is unchanged from other Samsung units although I found it easier to navigate the vertical controls on the T220 rather than the horizontal controls on the 226BW.

To summarise I would recommend this monitor. The only caveat being some consumers may not like the new curved bezel look. If that is the case then a Samsung 2243BW might be a better choice but keep in mind the 2243BW features a 5ms response time.

(Please note this review applies to the T220R only and not the HD version) Image quality, high contrast, vibrant colors, good control layout, value for money. Curved bezel may not appeal to everyone. Adjustment limited to tilt only.

Excellent – A real value for money, it seems you can't go wrong with Samsung when it comes to LCD displays currently. Until LED monitors become cheap enough to be standard in near future, LCD displays like this product would be the way to go. Works great, easily connects with any computer unit, looks great and picture quality is awesome. A product I would not… Read more

hesitate to recommend. Kepp you in good steed for all your gaming and graphic needs for next 12 months in this day and age when things advance so quickly. Samsung is current market leader in this product segment and it shows every bit of why that is the case with this product. The design is very modern and trendy, looks expensive comparable to other product brands of similar price range. Cool touch sensor to turn on the mobile with very attactive glow light. Energy efficient. Brilliant screen display. Easy to connect. Used for around 7 months now not a single problem. Turns on instantly. It's surprisingly light in weight and very sturdy as well. In fact, it's so better than comparably priced LGs, Japanese and Taiwanese products in terms of design and appeal, that it has made choice really easy. A quick visit to your electronic store display section, your attention will immediately be drawn to this product range. The stand fixes onto the monitor unit and is not adjustable. Can't adjust the height or angle. Still doesn't look as sharp and high tech and glitz as Apple monitor products but for IBM/microsoft based computers this is perhaps as good as it gets.

Excellent – Ok I've only had this tv for about a month but so far been really happy with it. I love it! This is the first LCD tv I've had and couldn't be happier with it. Excellent – This is a great gaming and video rendering monitor with an amazing contrast ratio and a 2ms response time making for incredible game play. It sports a touch pannel for all its controls and even has an HDMI input so you can connect your DVD player, Playstaion or what ever meets your fancy. It does have a downside however with the screen not… Read more

Excellent – Having a Samsung 940N prior to this display, the T240 is a giant step forward. Being digital and the size of the display make computing so much more enjoyable. I can only recommend this product very highly. Added bonus is the 3 year warranty, which beats other brands who typically offer only 1 year. Samsung has delivered the goods again. The… Read more

quality of their products continues to impress. The Syncmaster T240 display is superb quality with extremely clear and easy viewing I think the packing could be done better, as the unit was slightly marked on outer frame.
