Washing machine won’t turn on – Washing machine worked well until two weeks ago. Turned off five minutes into cycle and now won’t turn back on. Have just replaced the pcm and still nothing. Pretty disappointing from a premium brand. Not to mention the cost of the pcm Show details

Cheap electronics – Will stop working on of a sudden. Mostly caused by $2 burnout capacitor. Samsung is well aware of this happening across the globe. Still if you ring them they appear as if you are the first person contacting them with this problem and will suggest you doing the basic troubleshooting, then suggest you to contact the nearest authorised repairer.… Read more

Repairer will suggest you to change the PCB. Which will cost you $250 for PCB, call out fee and labour. Which will be close to the cost of the machine itself. Next time what you do, choose to throw it out and get another machine, which is another sale. Even if Samsung is not getting the entire repeated sale, still it doesn't hurt them, only you, so why change the tactics.

Great washing machine – Have now had this machine 7 years, apart from a noisy imbalance issue which was fixed by tightening the feet The machine has been relocated 3 times, It has a portable dishwasher sitting on top of it. Have done an average of 15 quickwash cycles per week and regular cleaning the machine is still going strong  Show details

Great washing machine- never had problems – Has it for 4 years and still going strong. Never had any problems with it. A bit loud on the spinning cycle but I think majority of washing machines are loud when spinning anyway. Other than that it's great. It's also has a bit drum and can take a blanket or a mattress cover.  Show details

Excellent Machine - Still going strong after 6+ years – I have found this to be an excellent machine and haven't had any of the issues others have complained about. After 6-7 years its still going strong and has never had any down-time or been repaired. Its also moved house with us twice without incident. The door lock can be a little bit tricky but so long as you are gentle (i.e. don't slam the door)… Read more

then its fine - I mean, it is a front loader so this is to be expected. The lint filter is a great feature and we've cleaned this out several times to find $2 coins and other random stuff from pockets etc. We've had a couple of the error messages in the past but have always been able to sort out the issues quickly with the manual/ internet (once the water wasn't connected, so we're not talking machine issues here). Overall great hard working machine and no issues with Samsung (we also have 2 Samsung TVs that are great). When this machine dies we will probably buy the updated model.

Seems ok – Worked fine for 5 years. Recently moved house and dropped it a few times moving (they are heavy due to front loaders having concrete ballast blocks inside). Now has had rust stuck in the pump so will replace the pump. Seems reliable despite the other reviews, maybe the build quality today is not as high as 5 years ago?

Washing machine young - DEAD NOT IMPRESSED!! – From the day I purchased this I have had problems. In fact the first one I got wouldn't work and it was replaced within a week. Then the door wouldn't shut without leaning on it, which meant often loads wouldn't start and if on delay start I wouldn't know for hours. Now the pump has died!! I see SAMSUNG has not got it available anymore - guess… Read more

i know why now!!

Also I had a Samsung laptop that wasn't even 2 years old and it died - just one day wouldn't start. I still have it sitting here hoping that somehow I may just may be able to get the photos off my hard drive. Not holding out much hope!!

Hmm thankfully my Samsung Note seems to be okay!! Delay timer Door wouldn't shut, Wouldn't expect a machine so young to die!!

Samsung is reputable for electrical faulty – Two samsung products have failed on me. The first one was their phone, now their washing machine. It served us well for 18 months. Yesterday the circuit board blown up. It is the same problem as my samsung phone. Sure samsung has the most value for money, but when comparing its reliability and services with my parents 20 year old Electrolux or my… Read more

Not repairable after 4.5 years- wouldn't recommend – When my washing machine worked, I found it great. But it recently stopped working after 4.5 years and is unable to be repaired. Samsung have discontinued this drum and the replacement drum they now use does not fit my model. This is really disappointing, I would expect my washing machine to last in excess of 5 years and I would not expect that… Read more

Never buy a samsung – This machine is 3 years old and the amount of faults I have had with it from day one is ridiculous!!! it has ripped numerous amounts of jeans and tops, the door locking mechanism has now failed and it does not wash properly. Biggest waste of money. I will never buy Samsung again

Avoid Samsung washing machines like the plague – It's impossible to say truly how bad this machine is. It shakes and rattles, shreds one's clothes and breaks down. Financial circumstances were such that we couldn't afford to ditch it earlier, but it did the job for us and finally broke. Our mission in life now is to convince as many people to never buy a Samsung product as for them to put out… Read more

Fire hazzard!! – Do not buy this machine! Only lasted 4 years . Door interlock burnt out, on inspection the plug and socket was completely melted and black! Lucky my house is still standing! Now they want to charge me $400 to have it repaired. Talk about shabby. You have been warned! I definitely won't be buying a Samsung again!

Great reliable machine with out a problem – I can not understand the other reviewers trashing this washing machine as it has been a great work horse with out fail. Australia say, bloody good unit. Can recommend. Reliable, quiet, good results when you follow the instructions. can take a bit of time but I think that is because I came from a top loader previously. It does use a lot less water though :-)

Poor build, wash and quality – Will never be purchasing a Samsung washing machine again. The wash has always been below standard but not its dead and out of warranty. Clothes have often required a further spin cycle so… Read more

Not Good Product - Do not buy a Samsung washing machine ever!!!!!! – I bought this Samsung washing machine 2 1/2 years ago. I would not recommend anyone to buy one like it!!! Worst appliance machine I have seen in a lifetime – Bought in June 2010, Worked fine for for around 23 months. Drum then became totally loose and unusable when just out of warranty (July12). Worked fantastic until the door lock switch burnt out – I bought the samsung washing machine about three years ago for a great price of $500. When it was working, it worked fantastic. no problems – We have this washer for a few years now and have experienced no problems so far. Was very skeptical when buying as it was our first front loader but have found it to wash extremely well. Family of 4 and a husband that works in a very dirty environment, gets used daily. saves water, washes gently takes a long time each wash, but have learnt to switch it on at night ready to hang in the morning

Good machine – I've had this washer for nearly four years now and am very happy with the quality of wash, all the options and the timer for delayed wash that I can set at night for the clothes to be all washed by the time the day starts so I can utilise most of sun-time!
