Don't buy samsung – The mechanism that holds the inner bowl broke beyond repair after less than 4 years. Samsung eventually agreed to refund a proportion of the cost of the machine but the hurdles required by them in order to get the refund were 1. extremely onerous 2. forced us to indemnify them(completely unreasonably) for any damage which may occur in transit… Read more

back to them by their courier.. Furhter, 3.The effort and time required to make this happen were greater than the refund. In doing so they created a resolve on my part and that of my family... and now all my contacts..not to deal with Samsung ever again.

Don't Buy A Samsung!!! – This is the 2nd Samsung front loader machine purchased. My first machine only lasted 2 years, it was plagued with issues (broken pumps x4 , broken door handle and seals - all repaired under extended warranty). Eventually I had enough and decided to purchase a new machine. Assured by the sales assistant that improvements were made I purchased this… Read more

model just over 2 years. About 9 months ago the LCD panel died and the rubber seal around the door lstarted to fall apart causing the machine to leak. Both were repaired under manufacturers (Samsung) warranty. Although this was an issue within itself as the repair company Samsung used ordered the incorrect parts numerous times. Last week the handle of the door broke with a load of washing stuck in there! I rang Samsung and there was no way to in an emergency open the door, a service person had to come out (luckily I got one that day) who eventually got the door open. I have been waiting over a week now for to be repaired (it is now under extended Harvey Norman warranty).

The other thing is the quick cycle which states 29-31 minutes is completely untrue. I only noticed this as I was waiting for a load to finish before work. The one minute count down lasted approximately 8 minutes (longest minute ever)!

It is also advertised as a 'Quiet Drive' and it is far from that. We live in a large single level concrete slab house and I can hear it up the other end.

Today I went to look for a new machine think I will be purchasing a Miele, which considering the $ and time I have spent on the 2 dodgy Samsung models - the Miele is not that expensive. look, ability to change water temperature price, repair service, seems to last only 2 yrs before needing major repairs, noisy, stated time of cycles

Maybe a dud – We have had this machine for 2 years and 4 months, the Washer has been nice to use but all of a sudden the spider that holds the stainless bowl broke in three, that is the part that goes from the motor to the bowl. this was so badly corroded that it just gave way. the big problem was trying to find parts to fix it, in fact this model doesn't… Read more

even show on repairers parts listings, I think that after only 2 and a half years old this shouldn't happen, this machine was recommended by retro vision, as been top of the line. this is only one of the bad decisions that we made on the say so of this company. this is why you should talk to a professional and not a supermarket. Quiet Major failing just out of warranty

Excellent price, half the cost of leading brands – Excellent price, half the cost of leading brands. have had for 4 months so far without problems. Washes well and has various cycles to use from 20 minutes to 1 hour thirty. 5 star water and energy rating. 8.5 kg load size Price, efficient quiet. Can't tell the time very well eg 20 minutes is closer to 40 minutes.

I love our new washing machine! – When our old washing machine died after only a few years we wanted to make sure that we were going to purchase a high quality washer next that would last the distance. We purchased a Samsung Diamond and I am so happy! When the cylce is finishing it even plays a tune! It also has a turbo air drying feature that leaves your clothes slightly damp… Read more

making tumble drying or line drying time minimal. Its reasonably water friendly and power efficent but as is so large I have cut down my loads to half anyway. It wasn't overly expensive compared to some other brands so we would highly recommend for its wash features, price and quality. Price, Reliable, Quality & it SINGS!

Good – My first front loader so I can't compare it to others. However compared to my old top loader it does wash extremely well. Lots of options and a huge load capacity. A standard wash takes 2 hours, up to 3 if you do the heavy duty cycle. There is a half hour cycle if you're in a hurry. It seems not to rinse all the detergent out leaving the clothes… Read more ·  2

a tad stiff. This may be a front loader issue as they roll the load around in a little water, rather than soak the whole lot like a top loader. It's not an unbearable amount. Maybe I need to reduce the detergent quantity.

First machine needed to be replaced as it was too noisy on the rinse cycle (a noisy pump). It's sold as a quiet machine so I was picky (though it was 20 decibels over the stated amount). It would be nice to have the option to use my hot water services hot water rather than have the machine do the heating (it only has a cold water inlet hose). Very clean wash. doesn't quite rinse well enough.

great machine overall – great washing machine, lots of cycles but i only really use 1 or 2 of them. love the heat settings. its not as quiet as i would have liked, but is heaps better than my old machine. reliable, inexpensive for the features and size, (9.5kg, and about $900), energy and water efficient drainage screw difficult to undo, and as its not wall mounted, has no space to drain downwards over the coverflap.
